Scream 7 -2026 Movie Review- ~ENG/SPA~
Hello, my dear cinephile friends! I hope you're all doing well. I'm so happy to be back here to share a movie I recently saw in theaters: Scream 7, which was recently released in cinemas and is the seventh installment in a saga I've loved since I was a child. I hope you enjoy it.
Hola, mis queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero estén bien, estoy muy contenta de estar nuevamente por aquí para compartir una película que ví hace poco en el cine. Se trata de Scream 7, la cual se estrenó hace poco en cines y, es la séptima entrega de una saga que me ha gustado mucho desde niña. Espero les guste.
Plot / Trama
Ghostface returns to haunt Sidney Prescott once again, and this time also her teenage daughter, Tatum. Tatum has a strained relationship with her mother, who refuses to reveal any more details about her past and her encounters with Scarface beyond what has already been published. With the help of her friends, Tatum begins to uncover the identity of the masked killer so she can stop him. Sidney, determined to defend her family, joins forces to bring down the murderer, who, as usual, turns out to be not just one, but several.
Ghostface regresa para perseguir a Sidney Prescott nuevamente, y esta vez también a su hija adolescente Tatum, la cual tiene una relación algo difícil con su madre ya que ella se niega a contarle mas detalles de los ya publicados acerca de su pasado y sus enfrentamientos con Scarface. Con ayuda de sus amigos, Tatum comienza a averiguar quién se esconde tras la máscara para poder acabarlo, al igual que Sidney que está dispuesta a defender a su familia y, juntas lograr acabar con el asesino que como de costumbre no resulta ser uno sino, varios.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
As a fan of the saga, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see it on opening day, and well... I have to say that while it's not entirely bad, it's not my favorite in the series either. To begin with, I really enjoyed seeing Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox perform again, as they've been battling Scarface since the beginning. Matthew Lillard's return also adds a touch of nostalgia to the film, which is a good strategy for bringing back longtime fans. And although other characters from previous films also return, I feel that some characters could have been used more effectively.
Como fan de la saga, no pude dejar pasar la oportunidad de verla el dia de su estreno, y bueno...tengo que decir que aunque no es del todo mala tampoco es mi favorita de la saga. Para empezar, me gustó mucho contar nuevamente con las actuaciones de Neve Campbell y Courteney Cox las cuales han peleado con Scarface desde el principio y también se puede decir que el regreso de Matthew Lillard le da un toque de nostalgia a la película lo cual es buena estrategia para reunir a los fans de siempre y aunque también hay otros personajes de películas anteriores que regresan, siento que hay personajes que pudieron haber aprovechado mejor.
In my opinion, the film has good cinematography; however, regarding the plot, I think they could have made better use of it. While I admit the film did make me jump in my seat several times, it can be predictable, and some parts seemed illogical. Despite that, I think the film is watchable and can even be entertaining for passing the time, and despite the negative reviews it received, I'm glad it did reasonably well at the box office.
En mi opinión la película tiene buena fotografía sin embargo, respecto a la trama pienso que también pudieron aprovecharla más ya que, aunque reconozco que la película logró hacer que brincara del susto en mi butaca varias veces, puede llegar a ser predecible y algunas partes me parecieron carentes de lógica. A pesar de eso, pienso que la película se deja colar y hasta puede resultar entretenida para pasar el rato y a pesar de las críticas negativas que recibió, celebro que no le haya ido mal en taquilla.
In conclusion, I'd say the movie was just okay. Although I'm a fan of the saga and enjoyed watching it, I don't think I'd watch it again. I feel they could have made better use of what they had, and as a fan, I wasn't entirely satisfied, even though it was somewhat enjoyable. As a fan, I hope they do a better job when they release the next sequel, which is already in development. I have high expectations that I hope this next installment will meet. It's been a pleasure sharing this movie with you.
Para culminar, diría que la película estuvo más o menos. Aunque soy fan de la saga y me gustó verla creo que, no la vería nuevamente ya que siento que pudieron aprovechar mejor todo lo que tenían y bueno, como fan de la saga no estuve del todo satisfecha a pesar de que se deja colar. Como fan, espero sepan hacer un mejor trabajo cuando saquen la próxima secuela la cual ya se encuentra en desarrollo y, diría que tengo espectativas que espero llenar con esta próxima entrega. Ha sido un placer compartir esta película con ustedes.
