SHREK 2 -2004 Movie Review- ~ SPA / ENG ~
Hello my dear cinephile friends! I hope you are very well. Today I'm here to share with you another of my favorite movies which, although it is a sequel, is incredible. This is "Shrek 2", which is the continuation of the movie "Shrek" and was released in 2004 through Dreamworks Animation. I hope you like it.
¡Hola mis queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero estén muy bien. Hoy estoy por aquí para compartir con ustedes otra de mis películas favoritas la cual aunque es una secuela, es increíble. Se trata de "Shrek 2", la cual es la continuación de la película "Shrek" y fue lanzada en el 2004 a través de Dreamworks Animation. Espero les guste.
Plot / Trama
On this occasion, after returning from their honeymoon, Shrek and Fiona receive an invitation from Fiona's parents to visit them since they have found out that Fiona had finally been rescued and released. At first, Shrek does not think it is a good idea, however, Fiona convinces him. Once in the castle, Shrek finds it very difficult to get his in-laws to like him, especially the King, who hires Puss in Boots to assassinate him, however he fails and Shrek, upon finding out that the cat was hired by the King, He is disappointed because the cat tells him that he hates him for being an ogre. After drinking a stolen potion, both Shrek and Fiona become human beings, however, the King and the Fairy Godmother intend to trick Fiona into believing that Prince Charming is Shrek once she kisses him, so Shrek must do everything possible to avoid it and thus not lose his wife.
En esta oportunidad luego de regresar de su luna de miel, Shrek y Fiona reciben una invitación de los padres de Fiona para visitarlos ya que se han enterado que Fiona finalmente había sido rescatada y liberada, al principio Shrek no cree que sea buena idea sin embargo, Fiona lo convence. Una vez en el castillo a Shrek se le dificulta mucho caerle bien a sus suegros, en especial al Rey el cual contrata al Gato con Botas para que lo asesine sin embargo este falla y Shrek al enterarse de que el gato fue contratado por el Rey, este se decepciona ya que el gato le cuenta que lo odia por ser un ogro. Luego de beber una pócima robada, tanto Shrek como Fiona se convierten en seres humanos sin embargo, el Rey y el Hada Madrina pretenden engañar a Fiona para que crea que el Príncipe Encantador es Shrek una vez lo bese, así que Shrek deberá hacer todo lo posible para evitarlo y así no perder a su esposa.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
Like the first one, I also went to see it at the cinema and I really loved it, I found the story quite entertaining and I liked it a lot, I didn't get bored for a moment. I really like the return of many characters from the last movie and also the addition of others like Puss in Boots, who is one of my favorite characters in the movie. I also found the work of the voice cast very good since they give him a special touch to each character and I really like that actors like Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy have returned and this time I am happy that Julie Andrews and Antonio Banderas have joined because they have always seemed to me to be great figures in cinema, and I have admired them since I was little too.
Al igual que la primera esta también la fui a ver al cine y realmente me encantó, la historia me pareció bastante entretenida y me gustó bastante no me aburrí ni un instante. Me gusta mucho el regreso de muchos personajes de la película pasada y también la adición de otros como El Gato con Botas el cual es uno de mis personajes favoritos de la pelicula, también el trabajo del elenco de voz me pareció muy bueno ya que le dan a cada personaje un toque especial y me gusta mucho que actores como Mike Myers, Cameron Díaz, Eddie Murphy hayan regresado y esta vez estoy contenta de que Julie Andrews y Antonio Banderas se hayan sumado ya que siempre me han parecido grandes figuras del cine, y los admiro desde pequeña también.
The animation seems excellent to me despite being 3D and as you know, I am not a big fan of this type. It also has a fairly wide color palette that works perfectly, and I also love the design of the characters. As I said before, I loved the addition of new characters, especially Puss in Boots, because he became one of my favorite characters in the saga, and even though the Fairy Godmother is evil this time, I found it very funny. My favorite scene from this movie and I think it's one of the most remembered is the one in which Sleeping Beauty appears on the red carpet, when she gets off the float and is introduced, she falls and then they say "oh, she's already asleep." I confess that no matter how many times I watch the movie I always end up laughing at that scene. The soundtrack is also very good as it has songs that I really like which work very well within the film, and the score is excellent.
La animación me parece excelente a pesar de ser 3D y como saben, no soy muy fan de este tipo además tiene una paleta de colores bastante amplia que funciona a la perfección, y también el diseño de los personajes me encanta. Como dije antes, me encantó la adición de nuevos personajes en especial del Gato con Botas ya que se convirtió en uno de mis personajes favoritos de la saga, y a pesar de que el Hada Madrina esta vez sea malvada me pareció muy graciosa. Mi escena favorita de esta película y creo que es de las más recordadas es en la que sale La Bella Durmiente en la alfombra roja, la cual cuando baja de la carroza y la presentan se cae y luego dicen "ay, ya se durmió", les confieso que no importa cuantas veces vea la película siempre me termino riendo en esa escena. El soundtrack también es muy bueno ya que tiene canciones que realmente me gustan las cuales funcionan muy bien dentro de la película, y el score es excelente.
Well to finish, I would say that it is one of the best films I saw during my childhood and for a sequel it is incredible, no matter that it is aimed at children it can be enjoyed by the whole family and no matter how much time passes it will never stop. be good and fun, I would like to recommend it to all those who have not yet had the opportunity to see it, I assure you that you will not regret seeing it, and I hope you enjoy it.
Bueno para finalizar, diría que es una de las mejores películas que vi durante mi niñez y para ser una secuela es increíble, no importa que esté dirigida hacía el público infantil puede ser disfrutada por toda la familia y no importa cuanto tiempo pase nunca dejará de ser buena y divertida, me gustaría recomendarla a todos los que todavía no han tenido la oportunidad de verla, les aseguro que no se van a arrepentir de verla, y espero que la disfruten.

En muchas ocasiones, cuando alguna película tiene una secuela no logra superar el impacto de su primera entrega, pero Shrek 2 sin dudas fue incluso mejor que la primera, es una película increíble. ¡Excelente reseña!

Una de las mejores películas animadas que he visto y desde ese momento que la vi no he dejado de verla y cada vez que la pasan por la tv es increíble, la cual ese historia de amor, acción y aventura es muy buena, la cual esta cargada de grandes mensajes. Toda esa saga de Shrek será perfecta y nunca pasará de moda.
Shrek 2 no solo me parece una increíble película animada, sino que aparte me parece una secuela genial, es común ver que en las segundas películas la calidad baje e intenten replicar lo que funcionó en la primera, pero shrek 2 no solo está a la altura de la primera, sino me atrevería decir que hasta la llega a superar. Toda una joyita! Jejee
