SHREK -2001 Movie Review- ~ ENG / SPA ~
Hello my dear cinephile friends! I hope you are well, today I'm here again to share my opinion about one of my favorite movies from my childhood, it's Shrek, a rather peculiar fairy tale released in 2001 through DreamWorks Animation. I hope you like it.
¡Hola mis queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero estén muy bien, hoy estoy de nuevo por aquí para compartir mi opinión acerca de una de mis películas favoritas de mi infancia, se trata de Shrek, un cuento de hadas bastante peculiar estrenada en el 2001 a través de DreamWorks Animation. Espero les guste.
𝗣𝗹𝗼𝘁 / 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮
This peculiar fairy tale tells the story of Shrek, a bad-tempered and lonely ogre who one day meets a talking donkey called "Donkey" with whom he later develops a good friendship. One night he realizes that fairy tale characters have invaded his swamp, because the evil Lord Farquaad has expelled them, so Shrek decides to go claim him. Lord Farquaad forces Shrek and Donkey to rescue Princess Fiona together, since he needs her to become his wife so he can be King, Shrek agrees on the condition that the story characters that are invading his swamp are then returned to their respective stories. Once Fiona is rescued, she and Shrek begin to meet and fall in love as they travel together. Fiona is under a spell that causes her to turn into an ogre during the night, and the spell will be broken only if she receives a kiss from her true love but after a misunderstanding that causes Shrek to hand Fiona over to Lord Farquaad, Shrek must fight to get her back and thus confess his true feelings to be able to have his happy ending with Fiona and "live happily ever after."
Este peculiar cuento de hadas nos cuenta la historia de Shrek, un ogro de mal genio y solitario que un día conoce a un burro parlante llamado "Burro" con el cual luego desarrolla una buena amistad. Una noche se da cuenta de que personajes de cuentos de hadas han invadido su pantano, ya que el malvado Lord Farquaad los ha expulsado por lo que Shrek decide ir a reclamarle. Lord Farquaad obliga a Shrek y a Burro a rescatar juntos a la Princesa Fiona, ya que la necesita para convertirla en su esposa y así poder ser Rey, Shrek accede con la condición de que luego los personajes de cuentos que están invadiendo su pantano sean devueltos a sus respectivos cuentos. Una vez rescatan a Fiona, ella y Shrek empiezan a conocerse y a enamorarse a medida que viajan juntos, Fiona está bajo un hechizo la cual hace que se convierta en ogro durante la noche, y que el hechizo se romperá solo si recibe un beso de su verdadero amor pero luego de un malentendido que hace que Shrek entregue a Fiona a Lord Farquaad, Shrek deberá luchar por recuperarla y así confesarle sus verdaderos sentimientos para poder tener su final feliz junto a Fiona y "vivir felices para siempre".
𝗠𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 / 𝗠𝗶 𝗢𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻
I tell you that at first this film did not attract much attention to me, however, I saw it thanks to being invited to see it at the cinema and although I did not go with many expectations, I left the cinema quite happy because I thought it was quite good and I was quite entertained. I really liked the story, in which many fairy tale characters that I like appear and I really loved seeing them together in the same story, and I found it quite interesting that it is based on a book, which was written by William Steig. I really liked the work of the voice actors in general, since each one did an excellent job and gave a special touch to each character and I also liked that great figures like Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy among the main roles since they are actors that I admire a lot from a very early age.
Les cuento que al principio no me llamaba mucho la atención esta película sin embargo, la vi gracias a que me invitaron a verla al cine y aunque no fui con muchas expectativas, salí bastante contenta del cine porque me pareció bastante buena y me entretuve bastante. Me gustó mucho la historia, en la cual salen muchos personajes de cuentos de hadas que me gustan y realmente me encantó verlos juntos en una misma historia, y me pareció bastante interesante que este basada en un libro, es cual fue escrito por William Steig. Me gustó mucho el trabajo de los actores de voz en general, ya que cada uno hizo un excelente trabajo y le dio un toque especial a cada personaje y también me gustó que grandes figuras como Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers y Eddie Murphy entre los papeles principales ya que son actores que admiro mucho desde muy temprana edad.
I really liked the animation and it is one of the first computer-animated movies that I saw in my childhood. It has a fairly wide color palette that works very well and has some pretty good shots. Let's say that this movie made me a fan of animation because computer, although as I grew older I lost my taste for animation of this type. The design and development of the characters was also great and I would say that my favorite characters are the Gingerbread Man, The 3 Little Pigs and Donkey because they were the ones that made me laugh the most the first time I saw it. One scene that I remember that made me laugh a lot is the one where they rescue Fiona from the tower since she pretends to be asleep waiting for him to kiss her, but Shrek wakes her up by shaking her. I really loved this "fairy tale" whose couple is very different from all the ones we get used to seeing, for example, at Disney.
La animación me gustó mucho y es una de las primeras películas animadas por computadora que vi en mi niñez, tiene una paleta de colores bastante amplia que funciona muy bien y tiene unos planos bastante buenos, digamos que esta película me hizo fan de la animación por computadora aunque luego a medida que fui creciendo le perdiera el gusto a la animación de este tipo. El diseño y desarrollo de los personajes también estuvo genial y diría que mis personajes favoritos son el Hombre de Jengibre, Los 3 Cerditos y Burro ya que fueron los que más risa me dieron la primera vez que la vi. Una escena que recuerdo que me hizo reír mucho es en la que recatan a Fiona de la torre ya que ella se hace la dormida esperando a que la bese, pero Shrek la despierta sacudiéndola. De verdad me encantó este "cuento de hadas" cuya pareja es muy diferente a todas las que nos acostumbramos a ver por ejemplo, en Disney.
I also really liked the movie's soundtrack, especially the song "I'm A Believer" performed by Smash Mouth, and the score gives a good touch to the movie. To finish, I would say that this movie is quite good and no matter how much time passes, it is one of those that is not forgotten and that is designed to be enjoyed not only by children despite being aimed at children and, like this one, All its sequels are great and this movie has served to promote an entire cinematographic universe that has been part of the childhood of many of us and I don't know if they are rumors, but I have heard that a fifth movie is being cooked, and if so it really will be I will wait excited. It has truly been a pleasure to share this film with all of you, I recommend it to you and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
El soundtrack de la pelicula también me gustó mucho, en especial la canción "I'm A Believer" interpretada por Smash Mouth, y el score le da un buen toque a la película. Para finalizar, diría que esta pelicula es bastante buena y no importa cuanto pase el tiempo, es de esas que no se olvidan y que esta ideada para ser disfrutada no solamente por niños a pesar de ser dirigida al público infantil y al igual que esta, todas sus secuelas son geniales y esta pelicula ha servido para impulsar todo un universo cinematográfico que ha formado parte de la niñez de muchos de nosotros y no se si son rumores, pero he escuchado que se está cocinando una quinta entrega, y si así realmente la esperaré ansiosa. De verdad ha sido un placer compartir esta película con todos ustedes, se las recomiendo y espero la disfruten tanto como yo.

Aunque muchas personas las ven únicamente como un meme, Shrek 1 y Shrek 2 son de las mejores películas animadas que se han hecho, aparte de que fueron pioneras con una fórmula única (irreverentes y divertidas), han sobrevivido muy bien el paso del tiempo.

Shrek es amor
Recuerdo haber visto Shrek hace dos años ya que tenía una memoria muy vaga de la película. Debo decir que me sorprendió y que fue muy entretenida.
Entre mis aspectos favoritos: La dinámica entre los personajes principales (Shrek, Fiona y Burro) y el humor adulto con doble sentido.
Puedo decir que esta es una de esas películas que puede entretenerte sin importar la edad que tengas.
