Space Jam: An Iconic Movie From My Childhood! - ENG / SPA -
Hello my dear cinephile friends! I hope you are very well. Today I'm here to share with you a movie that I have really liked since I was a child. This is Space Jam, which was released in 1996 through Warner Bros Records. I hope you like it.
¡Hola mis queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero estén muy bien. Hoy estoy por aquí para compartir con ustedes una película que me gusta mucho desde que era niña. Se trata de Space Jam, la cual fue lanzada en 1996 a través de Warner Bros Records. Espero les guste.
Plot / Trama
The Looney Tunes find themselves in trouble when some aliens want to kidnap them, but Bugs Bunny proposes playing a basketball game because he is sure that since the aliens are shorts they will obviously lose, but when the aliens head to Earth to steal the talent of famous NBA players to become experts at playing basketball, the Looney Tunes kidnap the famous Chicago Bulls player Michael Jordan, to ask him to train them in basketball and also to be part of their team, to which he agrees. An exciting and entertaining game of Basketball between the Looney Tunes and the aliens will take place, and Bugs and his friends must win to prevent the aliens from forcing them to be their new slaves.
Los Looney Tunes se encuentran en problemas cuando unos alienígenas quieren secuestrarlos pero, Bugs Bunny propone jugar un partido de basketball ya que está seguro de que como los aliens son enanos obviamente perderán, pero cuando los aliens se dirigen a la tierra para robar el talento de jugadores famosos de la NBA para hacerse expertos jugando basketball, los Looney Tunes secuestran a al famoso jugador de los Bulls de Chicago Michael Jordan, para pedirle que los entrene en el basketball y también para que forme parte de su equipo, a lo cual el accede. Un emocionante y entretenido juego de Basketball entre los Looney Tunes y los alienígenas tendrá lugar, y Bugs y sus amigos deberán ganar para que así evitar que los alienígenas los obliguen a ser sus nuevos esclavos.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
I remember that this was one of the movies that I liked to watch the most when I was a child because it never got boring and I found it quite entertaining. I have always liked Looney Tunes and I really liked that in this movie they mixed animation with real actors. I also really liked that famous NBA players appeared, who in my opinion did a good job acting, and I also really liked the work of the voice actors of the animated characters since they manage to give a great touch to each one. I really liked that Michael Jordan appeared as the protagonist and also that Danny DeVito provided his voice for an animated character. It should be noted that although the actors who provided their voices for its original version in English did a great job, I enjoy this film dubbed into Spanish better because I think the characters are funnier in this language.
Recuerdo que esta era una de las películas que más me gustaba ver cuando era niña ya que nunca me aburría y me resultaba bastante entretenida. Siempre me han gustado los Looney Tunes y me gustó mucho que en esta película hayan mezclado la animación con actores reales. También me gustó mucho que aparecieran jugadores famosos de la NBA, los cuales en mi opinión hicieron buen trabajo actuando y, también me gustó mucho el trabajo de los actores de doblaje de los personajes animados ya que logran darles un gran toque a cada uno. Realmente me gustó que apareciera Michael Jordan como protagonista y también que Danny DeVito prestara su voz para un personaje animado. Cabe destacar que aunque los actores que prestaron su voz para su versión original en inglés hicieron un gran trabajo, disfruto mejor esta película doblada al español porque me parece que los personajes son más graciosos en este idioma.
I thought the animation was excellent and they also did an excellent technical job mixing it with real action so in my opinion it really feels like Michael was really in front of Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes, it has a wide color palette that it works perfectly and I think the character development was pretty good. Although I don't consider myself a basketball fan, I'm very pleased that Michael Jordan, who is a legend and star player, participated as well as many other players such as Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Muggsy Bogues, among others, who were a good addition to the film. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics and many consider it to be not that good, I really like it because it's the first full-length Looney Tunes film, I grew up watching them and my favorite characters have always been Bugs, Daffy and Porky. In my opinion it is full of quite funny scenes and although the alien characters are villains, I like that they also have their funny touch and they were also a good addition to the movie.
La animación me pareció excelente y también hicieron un excelente trabajo técnico mezclándola con acción real por lo que en mi opinión realmente se siente como si Michael estuviese de verdad frente a Bugs Bunny y el resto de los Looney Tunes, tiene una amplia paleta de colores que funciona a la perfección y pienso que el desarrollo de los personajes estuvo bastante bien. Aunque no me considero fan del basketball, me agrada mucho que Michael Jordan que es una leyenda y jugador estrella haya participado al igual que muchos otros jugadores como Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Muggsy Bogues entre otros los cuales fueron buena adición a la película. Aunque la película recibió críticas mixtas por parte de los críticos y muchos consideran que no es tan buena, a mi me gusta mucho porque es la primera pelicula de larga duración de los Looney Tunes, yo crecí viéndolos y mis personajes favoritos siempre han sido Bugs, Lucas y Porky. A mi parecer está llena de escenas bastante graciosas y aunque los personajes extraterrestres son villanos, me gusta que también tienen su toque gracioso y también fueron una buena adición a la película.
Something that I also really liked about the movie is the soundtrack because it contains very beautiful songs like "Fly Like An Eagle" and "I Believe I Can Fly" which, I tell you, I still like to listen to. To conclude, I would say that although for many it may not be the best Looney Tunes movie, I really like it and it's one of the ones that I remember most from my childhood and it's the first of several that they made with the Looney Tunes of this style because, then they released another one call "Back in Action" and it also has a direct sequel starring basketball star LeBron James which I eagerly awaited but I was disappointed because it was not what I expected. What I have left to say is that I remember this particular one with great affection because it's part of my childhood and I would like to recommend it to all those who don't know it because it's good for spending some time entertaining, I hope you enjoy it.
Algo que también me gustó mucho de la película es el soundtrack ya que contiene canciones muy bonitas como "Fly Like An Eagle" y "I Believe I Can Fly" las cuales, les cuento que todavía me gusta escuchar. Para concluir, diría que aunque para muchos puede que no sea la mejor película de los Looney Tunes, a mi me gusta mucho y es de las que más recuerdo de mi infancia y es la primera de varias que hicieron con los Looney Tunes de este estilo ya que, luego lanzaron otra llamada "de nuevo en acción" y también tiene una secuela directa protagonizada por la estrella del basketball LeBron James la cual esperé ansiosa pero, me decepcionó porque no fue lo que esperaba. Lo que me queda por decir es, que esta en particular la recuerdo con mucho cariño ya que es parte de mi infancia y me gustaría recomendarla a todos los que no la conocen ya que es buena para pasar un rato de entretenimiento, espero la disfruten.

This was such a silly film that I expected to hate because it just seemed so impractical and stupid. However, I ended up enjoying it a great deal as well and agree that it is a lot of fun.
