Good Omens - S2 | Give me Coffee or Give me Death

I was happily playing qualifying games in Wild Rift in the wee hours of the morning when suddenly I got the notification that the second season of Good Omens had already been released and from the excitement I almost stopped playing, but thankfully I won the game and then I started to watch the series happier than ever, and well, I still don't get over everything that happened, which is not much, although it is a lot, it's just not what you would expect from a series, I don't know how to say it, there are many things happening at the same time, but we don't know exactly what is happening, and when we find out, we just have to pick up our jaw from the floor, gather the pieces in which our heart was shattered, and wipe the tears that will not leave us for a long time.

After saving the earth from destruction last season because of the apocalypse, in this new season new things start to happen, a new plan must be put into action, but we don't know what it will be, what we do know is that Gabriel, the wretched archangel that everyone hates, appears one day naked in front of Aziraphel's tent, without remembering anything at all, and stays there, then heaven and hell start desperately looking for him, so Aziraphel and Crowley decide to hide Gabriel and find out what is going on, giving us too many juicy details in the whole process, where we will love more and more our favorite angel and demon duo,

Estaba yo feliz jugando partidas clasificatorias en Wild Rift de madrugada cuando de repente me llega la notificación de que la segunda temporada de Good Omens ya se había estrenado y de la emoción casi dejo de jugar, pero agradezcamos que gané la partida y después sí me puse a ver la serie más feliz que nunca, y bueno, todavía no supero todo lo que pasó, que no es mucho, aunque sí es mucho, solo que no es lo que se esperaría de una serie, no sé cómo decirlo, hay muchas cosas sucediendo al mismo tiempo, pero no sabemos exáctamente qué es lo que está sucediendo, y cuando nos enteramos, solo nos queda recoger nuestra máandíbula del suelo, agrupar los trozos en los que nuestro corazón fue destrozado, y limpiarnos las lágrima que no nos abandonarán por mucho tiempo.

Después de salvar a la tierra de la destrucción en la temporada pasada a causa del apocalipsis, en esta nueva temporada nuevas cosas comienzan a suceder, un nuevo plan debe ponerse en marcha, pero no sabemos cuál será, lo que sí sabemos es que Gabriel, el desgraciado arcangel que todo el mundo odia, aparece un día desnudo frente a la tienda de Aziraphel, sin recordar nada en absoluto, y se queda ahí, entonces el cielo y el infierno comienzan a buscarlo desesperadamente, por lo que Aziraphel y Crowley deciden ocultar a Gabriel y descubrir qué es lo que está pasando, dándonos demasiados detalles jugosos en todo el proceso, donde amaremos cada vez más a nuestro duo favorito de ángel y demonio,

The opening scene of the first chapter is incredible and I've seen it about 5 times, and possibly I'll see it again more times because I'm already planning to watch the series again to support it and give us a deserved third season. In this opening scene we will see how Crowley, when he was still an angel, along with Aziraphel, begin or start the creation of the universe, something like if the big bang was the beginning of the creation of the universe orchestrated by heaven, and big bang or not, the angels and god had existed, regardless of any other living creature recognized them or knew of their existence. Kind of weird all that, but it works and it works better than we can ever hope for, because of the way all the events we will see in the course of the season unfold.

In this season we will meet Nina, the owner of the coffee shop 'Give me Coffee or Give me Death', which means, 'Give me Coffee or Give me Death', and Maggie, the owner of an acetate record store that only Aziraphel visits, in short, they both will be an important part of the season, as Maggie will be in love with Nina, and Nina will be in a relationship that is not suitable at all and that keeps her with a high level of stress, then through them we will see what would be the attempts of Crowley and Aziraphel to bring them together and make them fall in love, in addition to Maggie's own efforts, but not everything will be as we want or as we expect them to happen, and in the end we get a beautiful message where we understand the importance of not only knowing ourselves and knowing what we want and what we are, but also to know how to communicate it and make the other person understand the situation you are in and how this modifies everything that is currently happening.

La escena inicial del primeri capítulo es increíble y la he visto como 5 veces, y posiblemente la vuelva a ver otras veces más porque ya estoy planeando volver a ver la serie para darle apoyo y que así nos den una merecida tercera temporada. En esta escena inicial veremos cómo Crowley, cuando todavía era un ángel, junto a Aziraphel, comienzan o dan inicio a la creación del universo, algo así como si el big bang fuera el inicio de la creación del universo orquestado por el cielo, y con big bang o no, los ángeles y dios hubieran existido, sin importar que ninguna otra criatura viviente les reconociera o supiera de su existencia. Medio raro todo eso, pero funciona y funciona mejor de lo que podemos llegar a esperar, por la forma en que se desarrollan todos los eventos que veremos en el transcurso de la temporada.

En esta temporada conoceremos a Nina, la dueña de la cafetería 'Give me Coffee or Give me Death', que significa, 'Dame Café o Dame Muerte', y a Maggie, la dueña de una tienda de discos de acetato que solo visita Aziraphel, en fin, ellas dos serán una parte importante de la temporada, pues Maggie va a estar enamorada de Nina, y Nina estará en una relación para nada adecuada y que la mantiene con un nivel alto de estrés, entonces a través de ellas veremos lo que serían los intentos de Crowley y de Aziraphel de juntarlas y hacer que se enamoren, además de los propios esfuerzos de Maggie, pero no todo será como queremos o como esperamos que sucedan, y al final nos dan un hermoso mensaje donde entendemos la importancia no solo de conocernos y de saber lo que queremos y lo que somos, si no también de saber comunicarlo y hacer que la otra persona entienda la situación en la que estás y cómo esta modifica todo lo que está sucediendo actualmente.

One of the things I liked the least about the season, is that although it is very well done the development in which we do not know what is happening, it lasted too long, or rather, it lasted longer than it should have lasted, there came a point where I got bored of not knowing where it was leading everything that was going to happen, and it's not like in the end we find out much, on the contrary, we are left with a thousand questions and no answers, and we can only kneel and pray (wink, wink) that they give us a third season where we can appease the pain that this second season left us with, which believe me, will be a lot.

One of the things I liked the most about this season was the level of gayness it got to have, not only having two women liking each other, although the situation is very complicated, but we see how more and more the relationship between Aziraphel and Crowley shows what it really is, a loving relationship and not just a friendship or companionship, because yes, practically Crowley and Aziraphel have been together since the beginning of all times, and we already know that not only since Adam and Eve, as we were told in the first season, but now they were also together since the beginning of the stars and the universe that will expand until it dies again, then, to see how each of them realizes that they can't live without the other and that they would do anything to prevent bad things from happening to them, fuck, it was beautiful.

Una de las cosas que menos me gustó de la temporada, es que si bien está muy bien hecho el desarrollo en el que no sabemos qué es lo que está sucediendo, duró mucho tiempo, o más bien, duró más de lo que debería haber durado, llegó un punto en que me aburrí de no saber a dónde estaba llevando todo lo que iba a sucedet, con que fin es que estaba sucediendo todo, y no es como si al final nos enteremos de mucho, al contrario, nos dejan con mil preguntas y ninguna respuesta, y solo nos queda arrodillarnos y rezar (guiño, guiño) para que nos den una tercera temporada donde podamos apaciguar el dolor con el que nos dejó esta segunda temporada, que creánme, será mucho.

Una de las cosas que más me gustaron de esta temporada fue el nivel de gaysidad que llegó a tener, no solo al tener a dos mujeres gustarse mutuamente, aunque la situación es muy complicada, si no que vemos como cada vez más la relación entre Aziraphel y Crowley demuestra lo que es en realidad, una relación amorosa y no solo una relación de amistad o de compañeros, pues sí, prácticamente Crowley y Aziraphel han estado juntos desde el inicio de todos los tiempos, y ya sabemos que no solo desde Adán y Eva, como nos lo dijeron en la primera temporada, si no que ahora también estuvieron juntos desde el inicio de las estrellas y el universo que se expandirá hasta que vuelva a morir, entonces, ver cómo cada uno de ellos se da cuenta de que no puede vivir sin el otro y que harían lo que sea por evitar que cosas malas le sucedan, joder, fue hermoso.

Something more beautiful than seeing Aziraphel and Crowley realize that they love each other, was seeing how they kissed in the final chapter, and no matter what you know, no matter what a spoiler, because yes, they kissed, but they don't know the intensity of that scene, they don't know everything surrounding that kiss and what it means, so much so, that even right now I can start crying just remembering that and not stop for a good while, so, yes, I love that the series is becoming more and more lgbtqia+.

Algo más hermoso que ver a Aziraphel y a Crowley darse cuenta de que se aman, fue ver cómo se daban un beso en el capítulo final, y no importa que lo sepan, no importa que sea un spoiler, porque sí, se besaron, pero no saben la intensidad de esa escena, no saben todo lo que rodea a ese beso y lo que significa, tanto así, que aún ahorita puedo ponerme a llorar solo al recordar eso y no parar por un buen rato, así que, sí, amo que la serie sea cada vez más lgbtqia+.
