Run Sweetheart Run | He might be fun, but he's still a man

The best way to see this movie is without knowing absolutely nothing, that's how I saw it and I liked it that way, so if you plan to see it don't read this or any other review, don't watch the trailer and go directly to see the movie, you will appreciate it. I loved this movie from the beginning, although watching the trailer I realized that there was a scene they cut that changes the story a bit, and I like the movie version better than the trailer version. For a moment I forgot I was watching a horror movie and was laughing too hard at the beginning, so much so that there was a moment when I wanted to dig my nails into a table and scratch it all over to show my frustration at what I was seeing, so I just dug my nails into the flat of my hand and kept watching the movie.

In Run Sweetheart Run we are introduced to Cherie, a future lawyer who is working as a secretary at a law firm, it's the day of her boss's anniversary and he has dinner with his wife, but also a working dinner with client. So Cherie must go in his place, then what starts as a working dinner ends in a date that probably has a happy ending, but that is not the reality, because now Cherie has to run away and fight for her life. After all, her date is hunting her with the only intention of killing her, to have fun with his prey, all before the night is over.

La mejor forma de ver esta película es sin saber absolutamente nada, así la vi yo y me agradó que fuera así, así que si piensan verla no lean esta u otra reseña, no vean el trailer, y vayan directamente a ver la película, lo agradecerán. Amé esta película desde el inicio, aunque viendo el trailer me di cuenta de que hubo una escena que cortaron y que cambia un poco la historia, y me agrada más la versión de la película que la del trailer. Por un momento olvidé que estaba viendo una película de terror y me estaba riendo demasiado al principio, tanto así que hubo un momento en el que quise clavar mis uñas en una mesa y rasguñarla por completo para demostrar mi frustración por lo que estaba viendo, así que solo clavé mis uñas en la plama de mi mano y seguí viendo la película.

En Run Sweetheart Run nos presentarán a Cherie, una futura abogada que está trabajando como secretaria en una firma de abogados, es el día del aniversario de su jefe y este tiene una cena con su esposa, pero también una cena de trabajo con un cliente. por lo que Cherie debe ir en su lugar, entonces lo que comienza como una cena de trabajo termina en una cita que probablemente tenga un final feliz, pero esa no es la realidad, pues ahora Cherie tiene que huir y luchar por su vida, pues su cita la está cazando con la única intención de matarla, de divertirse con su presa, todo antes de que acabe la noche.

As I said. loved this movie from the beginning, it's amazing, and yes I wasn't surprised that it had a 5.4 score on IMDb, that should be my new filter to look for movies, that have a bad score on IMDB. Even though I loved it, the movie has a lot of things that push the limits of logic, and there comes a point where several of those illogical things become justifiable, but others don't, there is simply no way you can justify something that defies the limits of logic, as not even the giant plot twist that the plot has serves to make sense of them.

More than once the film had me on the verge of tears, despair, helplessness, and hopelessness, everything comes to overtake Cherie and us as we watch her suffer in horrible ways just for the whim of a man, several men, is that men are not people, I'll never get tired of saying it, I hate them all. Anyway, the movie is very fair in showing the reality of the world, we will have disgusting men who keep touching women in public transportation along with women who see that they are doing it to someone else and don't say anything, we will have women who judge others by the way they are dressed, we will have men who try to do their best but only end up making things worse, we will have women who jump to help another woman while harassing her among vs. men publicly, and help her without even knowing each other, there will always be people who will help and people who won't, that no matter what gender they are, that is shown in the movie and there is no doubt that that is the reality.

Como dije. amé esta película desde el comienzo, es increíble, y sí definitivamente no me sorprendió que tuviera una puntuación de 5.4 en imdb, ese debería ser mi nuevo filtro para buscar películas, que tengan una mala puntuación en imdb. A pesar de que me encantó, la película tiene muchas cosas que sobrepasan los límites de la lógica, y llega un punto en el que varias de esas cosas ilógicas llegan a ser justificables, pero otras no, simplemente no hay forma de que se pueda justificar algo que desafía los límites de la lógica, pues ni siquiera el giro gigante que tiene la trama sirve para darles sentido.

Más de una vez la película me tuvo al borde de las lágrimas, la desesperación, la impotencia, la desesperanza, todo llega a sobrepasar a Cherie y a nosotres mientras la vemos sufrir de formas horribles solo por el capricho de un hombre, de varios hombres, en realidad, es que hombre no es gente, nunca me voy a cansar de decirlo, los odio a todos. Igual la película es muy justa en mostrar la realidad del mundo, tendremos a hombres asquerosos que se la pasan tocando a las mujeres en el transporte público junto a mujeres que ven que se lo están haciendo a alguien más y no dicen nada, tendremos a mujeres que juzgan a otras por la forma en que están vestidas, tendremos a hombres que tratan de hacer lo mejor posible pero solo terminan empeorando las cosas, tendremos a mujeres que saltan a ayudar a otra mujer mientras la acosan entre vsrios hombres publicamente, y la ayudan sin siquiera conocerse, siempre habrá gente que ayudará y gente que no, eso sin importar el género que tengan, eso es mostrado en la película y no hay duda de que esa es la realidad.

You will see it in the trailer, if you decided to read the review before watching the movie, but this movie is many things at the same time, and I don't know if that's good or bad, because there comes a point where the movie loses seriousness because of everything they added, for example, Ethan, the bastard who is hunting Cherie and wants to kill her, will have moments where he will break the fourth wall and although he won't tell us a single word, everything will be said with his look, besides he will move the camera so we won't see what he doesn't want us to see, but despite that, he will make us feel that even if we don't see or don't want what he is doing to happen, we are accomplices because we are letting that kind of things happen, it was horrible, the first time Ethan breaks the fourth wall and doesn't let us enter his house, only to see Cherie running out of there bathed in blood, it was horrible, to hear all the screams and the noises of the fight, but without seeing her, it was horrible, that was the first moment where I was on the verge of tears, I couldn't stand it.

Continuing with this, and I'll say it just because it comes out at the end of the trailer, although if you prefer not to read this paragraph, one of the things that make the film lose seriousness or intensity is the moment when it adds the supernatural factor, at that moment the pressure I felt in my head for how I was feeling disappeared, allowing me to criticize absolutely everything I was seeing, and while that allowed some things to make sense, the things that still made no sense or logic only stood out more, and more and more illogical things appeared, but it became very difficult for me to take the movie seriously after the supernatural appeared, but that doesn't mean it hurts the film, but things got out of hand, I still love the movie, but no, that's not the way to do things.

Lo verán en el trailer, si es que decidieron leer la reseña antes de ver la película, pero esta película es muchas cosas a la vez, y no sé si eso es bueno o malo, porque llega un punto en que la película pierde seriedad a causa de todo lo que agregaron, por ejemplo, Ethan, el desgraciado que está cazando a Cherie y la quiere matar, tendrá momentos donde romperá la cuarta pared y aunque no nos dirá ni una sola palabra, todo será dicho con su mirada, además de que nos moverá la cámara para que no veamos lo que no quiere, pero a pesar de eso, nos hará sentir que aunque no veamos o no querramos que suceda lo que está haciendo, somos complices porque estamos dejando que ese tipo de cosas sucedan, fue horrible, la primera vez que Ethan rompe la cuarta pared y no nos deja entrar a su casa, solo para ver a Cherie salir corriendo de ahí bañada en sangre, fue horrible, escuchar todos los gritos y los ruidos de la pelea, pero sin verla, fue horrible, ese fue el primer momento en el que estuve al borde de las lágrimas, no lo soporté.

Siguiendo con esto, y lo diré solo porque sale el final del trailer, aunque si lo prefieren no lean este párrafo, una de las cosas que hacen que la película pierda seriedad o intensidad es el momento en el que agrega el factor sobrenatural, en ese momento la presión que sentía en la cabeza por cómo me estaba sintiendo desaparecío, dándome la oportunidad de criticar absolutamente todo lo que estaba viendo, y si bien eso permitió que unas cosas tuvieran sentido, las cosas que seguían sin tener sentido ni lógica solo resaltaron más, y cada vez aparecían más cosas ilógicas, pero se me hizo muy difícil tomar en serio la película después de que lo sobrenatural apareciera, igual eso no quiere decir que dañe la película, pero sí se les salieron de las manos las cosas, igual sigo amando la película, pero no, así no se hacen las cosas.

That scream made me cry, you will see it in the trailer, but only by watching the movie and having the full context you will come to understand everything behind that scream, everything it means, it was horrible, poor Cherie, she didn't deserve any of that, but that's life, a constant kick in the ovaries.

Don't watch the trailer, watch the movie and that's it, but as I already mentioned certain things that come out in the trailer, watch it, well, do whatever you want, watch the movie, enjoy it, enjoy it, enjoy it, love it, hate it, but watch it.

Ese grito me hizo llorar, lo verán en el trailer, pero solo viendo la película y teniendo el contexto completo llegarán a entender todo lo que hay detrás de ese grito, todo lo que significa, fue horrible, pobre Cherie, ella no merecía nada de eso, pero así es la vida, una constante patada en los ovarios.
