The plot introduces us to Cemal. A lonely man. He has a sister he hasn't seen in a long time. He is the typical nobody, a waste, without a girlfriend, children or friends. He works driving a hearse. It transports corpses. A co-worker pays him good money to hide for a month with the corpse of a murdered young woman. He must hide the corpse for that time. He accepts the job, but the body that had been in the morgue for ten days, wakes up. It is the fantastic triggering fact of the story. It is like a kind of zombie that needs to feed to regain strength and improve its skin. And she needs the best protein - meat.

Why does Cemal take everything in stride and become Zeynep's protector? No fucking idea. Perhaps to appease his loneliness. A way to erase the guilt of not having been a good brother. He may also have some desire for that woman who is beautiful, dead, but beautiful. Or maybe it's a kind of parental relationship, having someone to take care of. Deep down, human beings seem to have done just that. He is willing to sacrifice for her. To be his slave. Do whatever she asks of you.

Good performances from the cast. I didn't know any of the actors. Ahmer Rifat plays Cemal and Cansu Turedi plays Zeynep. She does not say any words, her interpretation consists more of gestures and body movements. I loved the scenes where she is desperate to feed on human flesh and blood. Although he establishes that relationship with Cemal and will even protect him as well. They are two dead, the one dead to society and she one dead in every way. Hence the need and mutual dependence.

A proposal that I like, although its slow pace and being somewhat long, can scare away viewers too accustomed to American cinema. I recommend it only if you are open to watching a simmering story and if you like blood.

La trama nos presenta a Cemal. Un hombre solitario. Tiene una hermana que no ha visto en mucho tiempo. Es el típico don nadie, un desperdicio, sin novia, hijos o amigos. Trabaja conduciendo un coche fúnebre. Transporta cadáveres. Un compañero de trabajo le paga un buen dinero para esconderse durante un mes con el cadáver de una joven asesinada. Debe esconder el cadáver por ese tiempo. Él acepta el trabajo, pero el cuerpo que había estado en la morgue durante diez días, se despierta. Es el hecho fantástico detonante de la historia. Es como una especie de zombi que necesita alimentarse para recuperar fuerzas y mejorar su piel. Y ella necesita la mejor proteína: la carne.

¿Por qué Cemal se toma todo con calma y se convierte en el protector de Zeynep? Ni puta idea. Quizas para apaciguar su soledad. Una forma de borrar la culpa por no haber sido un buen hermano. También puede tener algún deseo por esa mujer que es hermosa, muerta, pero hermosa. O tal vez es una especie de relación paternal, tener a alguien a quien cuidar. En el fondo, los seres humanos parecen haber hecho precisamente eso. Él está dispuesto a sacrificarse por ella. Para ser su esclavo. Hacer lo que ella te pida.

Buenas actuaciones del elenco. No conocía a ninguno de los actores. Ahmer Rifat interpreta a Cemal y Cansu Turedi interpreta a Zeynep. Ella no dice ninguna palabra, su interpretación consiste más en gestos y movimientos corporales. Me encantaron las escenas en las que ella se desespera por alimentarse de sangre y carne humana. Aunque establece esa relación con Cemal e incluso lo protegerá tambien. Son dos muertos, el muerto para la sociedad y ella una muerta en todos los sentidos. De ahí la necesidad y dependencia mutua.

Una propuesta que me gusta, aunque su ritmo lento y siendo algo larga, puede espantar a espectadores demasiado acostumbrados al cine americano. Lo recomiendo solo si estás abierto a ver una historia que hierve a fuego lento y si te gusta la sangre.
