This series seemed promising. I'd forgotten about it until someone reminded me. It had a good start, and everything seemed to build intrigue to reveal who was committing the crimes, but the series became a bit unbearable with each episode. There are eight episodes, and they felt very long. They decided to drag out the plot, and to top it all off, the last episode leaves the possibility of a second season open, although Netflix hasn't confirmed anything yet.

Part of the cast, besides the story about a serial killer, is what caught my attention. Imanol Arias is a Spanish actor with a long and distinguished career, very well-known in his country. Some might remember him from the series "Cuéntame cómo pasó" (Tell Me How It Happened). In my case, I saw him in many old Spanish films from the 80s. I especially remember "El Lute" and "Tiempo de Silencio" (Time of Silence).

In this series, he plays Felix Garay, the firefighter who became a serial killer, known as the Diesel Killer. After serving his sentence, he's released and returns to his hometown, but that very same day, new murders begin to occur in the style of the Diesel Killer. The series aims to generate doubt and intrigue, making us wonder who the killer is. Is Felix killing again? A copycat? Someone from his family?

I found this part interesting, as it raises the question of whether Felix's daughter, or even his grandson, might have inherited that evil and satisfaction in killing. Sara is his daughter, and both in flashbacks and in the present, we see how she loses control. Sebas is Sara's son, and he seems to have certain psychopathic tendencies. At least, that's what they try to convey; unfortunately, the story veers off course, and everything that's interesting quickly becomes a contrived device.

Lots of filler scenes, time wasted on family dramas, that Sebas guy is a complete idiot, and I didn't like the young actor's performance. By the way, another great actor appears, Roberto Alamo, but his character, Sara's husband, is a spineless, dim-witted man, a puppet instead of the man of the house. I'm sorry, but this role is terrible for him; with his looks, I just can't buy him in such a pathetic role.

I was on the verge of giving up on the series several times, but I endured it stoically. Elena Anaya, so stiff in her role, didn't help either. The actresses who play her character in her teens and college years seemed more convincing to me.

Although the story finally reveals who is behind the new murders, they leave us with an open ending. Are you sure they're going to renew it for a second season? If they do, I'm not going to watch it. I already know who the killers are, and I'm not going to put up with any more of Sara's family drama, her manipulative son, and her cuckolded husband.

Esta parte me pareció interesante, ya que plantea la cuestión de si la hija de Felix, o incluso su nieto, podrían haber heredado esa maldad y satisfacción al matar. Sara es su hija, y tanto en flashbacks como en el presente, vemos cómo pierde el control. Sebas es el hijo de Sara, y parece tener ciertas tendencias psicopáticas. Al menos, eso es lo que intentan transmitirnos; desafortunadamente, la historia se desvía y todo lo que resulta interesante rápidamente se convierte en un recurso forzado.

Muchas escenas de relleno, tiempo perdido en dramas familiares, ese tal Sebas es un completo idiota, y no me gustó la actuación del joven actor. Por cierto, aparece otro gran actor, Roberto Alamo, pero su personaje, el marido de Sara, es un hombre tonto sin carácter, un personaje que, en lugar de ser el hombre de la casa, es un pelele. Lo siento, este papel es terrible para este actor; con su aspecto, no me lo creo en un personaje tan pendejo.

Estuve a punto de abandonar la serie varias veces, pero la aguanté con estoicismo. Elena Anaya, tan rígida en su papel, tampoco ayudó. Las actrices que interpretan a su personaje en su adolescencia y en la universidad me parecieron más convincentes.

Aunque la historia finalmente revela quién está detrás de los nuevos asesinatos, nos dejan con un final abierto. ¿Están seguros de que van a renovarla para una segunda temporada? Si la renuevan, no pienso verla. Ya sé quiénes son los asesinos y no voy a soportar más el drama familiar de Sara, su hijo manipulador y su marido cornudo.
