New year, old awards, the Golden Globes are back! And as every year I publish my opinion and possible winners. This is the 80th Golden Globes, but more importantly, it's their return to television, after last year they were vetoed and the ceremony was not broadcast. Everything is old history, scandals about racism, abuse of power, sexual abuse, all associations and minorities protesting for greater representation, actors boycotting the event, returning awards won in the past, a whole soap opera that surely they must already have written the script for a future miniseries or movie. Hollywood wastes no time, it's all about money.
Año nuevo, premios viejos, ¡vuelven los Globos de Oro! Y como cada año publico mi opinión y posibles ganadores. Esta es la 80 entrega de los Globos de Oro, pero lo más importante es que es su regreso a la televisión, después de que el año pasado fueran vetados y no se emitiera la ceremonia. It is not the only black point of this ceremony, I think there are people who criticize that there are no women nominated this year as best director, but here I defend the association, there are only five films nominated for best director and no one is to blame that they are directed by men. I support inclusion, but if they really haven't put in a film directed by a woman that deserved to be nominated, it's not the association's fault, it's not including for the sake of including, the best should be selected, regardless of whether the director is female, male or alien.

Yo le hubiera dado una paliza, pero bueno, allí se manejan mucho los pleitos judiciales y luego pueden hasta quitarle la casa al actor e incluso ir a la cárcel.
No es el único punto negro de esta ceremonia, creo que hay gente que critica que no haya mujeres nominadas este año como mejor director, pero aquí yo defiendo la asociación, solo hay cinco películas nominadas a mejor director y nadie tiene la culpa de que sean dirigidas por hombres. Apoyo la inclusión, pero si realmente no han metido una película dirigida por una mujer que mereciera estar nominada, no es culpa de la asociación, no es incluir por incluir, se debe seleccionar al mejor, independientemente de si el director es mujer, hombre o extraterrestre.

Best Drama Film
Let's start with the highlight of the gala. I am surprised by some of the nominees in this category. First of all, Elvis, a film I loved, I thought it would be nominated in the other category of best musical film. This move by the foreign press is to leave it without the award.
But bigger surprise is to see the sequel to Avatar and the sequel to Top Gun, for crying out loud! A purely commercial move to capture this generation's audience. Foreign Press Association, this is not going to get young people to watch the ceremony. They've left out Blonde for these films - unforgivable!
Who will win? In the midst of these crazy nominations, the one that should take the serious prize is Tár or The Fabelmans. But these people are desperate to clean up their image, maybe they'll give it to Top Gun so Tom Cruise will make peace with them. I want Elvis to win, but Tár will win.
Best comedy or musical movie
There are better films in this category than Drama. It's crazy, but this award has already gone beyond its limits of absurdity. Elvis should be nominated in this category. They are all very good films, without hesitation I can say they deserve the nomination and be happy with the one that wins.
Triangle of Sadness may surprise and take the award. But I can't help but wish that Everything Everywhere All at Once wins this award. It is for me one of the best films of the year and a real multiverse madness. Plus, the main characters are Asian, if they want to be inclusive, let them do it with a really good movie. It's the one I want to see win, but for sure the award goes to The Banshee of Inisherin . take note!
Best Director
I will jump for joy with the victory of Dnaiel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert for Everything Everywhere All at Once. They deserve it, excellent direction for this film. But relax, I know they won't let me jump. James Cameron must have handed out a lot of freebies and an aggressive marketing campaign, they're going to give in to the self-proclaimed king of the world, even if his movie with those blue bugs is only good for sleeping and waking up in its final part. I think it will be one of the most disappointing awards for me.
Best Actor Drama
For me there are only two firm favorites, Brendan Fraser for The Whale and Austin Butler for Elvis. It's a duel between a veteran and beloved actor and a young man who has left his soul in his interpretation of the king of rock. An accolade to both, whoever wins, he deserves it. Butler is young, the nomination is already his award, he will have many opportunities in the future to be nominated again and win it.
Fraser has a great track record behind him, but remember what I commented at the beginning, he will not attend and is in conflict with the association. This would favor Butler, but the association has no shame and wants press releases that give them publicity, giving it to Fraser would be the master move to that end.
Best Drama Actress
The fire category. Five extraordinary actresses. Five fantastic performances. Five actresses devoted to their characters. I'm glad to see Ana de Armas, the only nominee for Blonde, what an injustice has been done to that film, but they couldn't leave out the actress, it would have been the height of cheek.

Hay mejores películas en esta categoría que en la de Drama. Es una locura, pero este premio ya ha sobrepasado sus límites de absurdo. Elvis debería estar nominada en esta categoría. Todas son muy buenas películas, sin dudarlo puedo decir que merecen la nominación y alegrarme con la que gane.
Triangle of Sadness puede dar la sorpresa y llevarse el premio. Pero no puedo evitar desear que Everything Everywhere All at Once gane este premio. Es para mí una de las mejores películas del año y una auténtica locura de multiverso. Además, los protagonistas son asiáticos, si quieren ser inclusivos, que lo hagan con una película realmente buena. Es la que quiero que gane, pero seguro que el premio se lo lleva La Banshee de Inisherin. ¡tomen nota!
Mejor Dirección
Daré saltos de alegría con la victoria de Dnaiel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert por Everything Everywhere All at Once. Se lo merecen, excelente dirección para esta película. Pero tranquilos, sé que no me dejarán saltar. James Cameron debe haber repartido muchos regalos y una agresiva campaña de marketing, van a ceder ante el autoproclamado rey del mundo, aunque su película con esos bichos azules sólo sirva para dormir y despertar en su parte final. Creo que será uno de los premios más decepcionantes para mí.
Mejor Actor Drama
Para mí sólo hay dos firmes favoritos, Brendan Fraser por La ballena y Austin Butler por Elvis. Es un duelo entre un veterano y querido actor y un joven que se ha dejado el alma en su interpretación del rey del rock. Un espaldarazo a ambos, gane quien gane, se lo merece. Butler es joven, la nominación ya es su premio, tendrá muchas oportunidades en el futuro de volver a ser nominado y ganarlo.
Fraser tiene una gran trayectoria a sus espaldas, pero recordemos lo que comentaba al principio, no asistirá y está en conflicto con la asociación. Esto favorecería a Butler, pero la asociación no tiene vergüenza y quiere notas de prensa que les den publicidad, dárselo a Fraser sería la jugada maestra para ese fin.
Mejor actriz de drama
La categoría de fuego. Cinco actrices extraordinarias. Cinco interpretaciones fantásticas. Cinco actrices entregadas a sus personajes. Me alegra ver a Ana de Armas, única nominada de Blonde, qué injusticia se ha cometido con esa película, pero no podían dejar por fuera a la actriz, hubiese sido el colmo de la desfachatez.
La nominación es su premio. Ana de Armas ya está consagrada, sólo le falta la nominación al Oscar. Ahora bien, ¿Quién ganará? Yo lo tengo muy claro: Cate Blanchet se llevará el premio, todas se lo merecen, pero ella está un escalón por encima, ni siquiera las posibles quejas por no dárselo a Viola Davis dejarán a Blanchet sin premio. No habrá sorpresas (a lo mejor me equivoco, recuerda que no sé nada).
Best Supporting Actor
I don't know what Eddie Redmayne is doing here, he's a great actor and is the best thing aboutThe Good Nurse, but I really think there are other supporting performances from other films that should be up there.
I would give the award to Ke Huy Quan, but his strong competition is Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keogahan , both for The Banshee of Inisherin. I hope I get my wish and the Asian takes it, but something deep inside me, an inner voice, tells me that Gleeson will win.
Best Supporting Actress
I think the duel will again be between Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Banshee of Inisherin , that is, between Jamie Lee Curtis and Kerry Condon. I'm not sure which of the two could win. I would love to see Anya Taylor Joy with the award, my Latin American heart would be happy for this Argentinian born actress, but I want and my bet goes with Michelle Yeoh, I would like Everything Everywhere All at Once to take the most awards, that would be something amazing. Although Margot Robbie is lurking and steals the show in Babylon, I'm still betting on Michelle Yeoh.
Best Animated Film
Here I'm going to cut to the chase and speculate, I'm offline and haven't been able to see some of the nominees, plus it's not the category I almost never get right, but from other users' reviews, I want Gulliermo del Toro's Pinocchio to win.
Best Foreign Language Film
All excellent, diverse genres and stories that really make an impact. A great selection of nominees. Argentina 1985 is one of the favorites, they have done a great job lobbying for it to win, plus it has Darín, one of my favorite Latin American actors. But I'll be honest, Decision to Leave and Im Westen nichts Neues seem superior to me, especially the latter, which is a remake, managed to impact me, plus the production work is a thousand times superior.

Todas excelentes, géneros diversos e historias que realmente impactan. Una gran selección de nominados. Argentina 1985 es una de las favoritas, han hecho un gran trabajo de lobby para que gane, además tiene a Darín, uno de mis actores latinoamericanos favoritos. A war of thrones this category, pure dragons fighting for the award. Five series I love, glad to see them nominated. Ufff estaba esperando esta publicación, creo que estamos de acuerdo en prácticamente todo, aunque yo quiero que gane The Crown, jajaja, quizás porque no he visto Better Call Saul, no lo sé, pero yo tengo una debilidad por mi novela británica.
Honestamente, creo que la mayoría de premios están cantados, a menos que se vuelvan locos y vayan a premiar "Pitufos 2", espero que no pase, pero he visto tantos comentarios aclamándola como una maravilla que no me extrañaría ver que se lleve algunos premios que seguramente no merece.
Yo solamente quiero que se entreguen dos premios el de Cate Blanchett y el de Elizabeth Debicki, fuera de eso que hagan lo que les dé la gana, jajajajaja.

Yo también amo la novela británica de The Crown jajaja y se que ganara, me alegra, pero Better Call Saul es una maravilla que merece mas.
Cate Blanchett es la ganadora segura. Aunque me hace ilusión imaginar a Ana de Armas ganar, pero eso no ocurrirá. Elizabeth Debicki, es una actriz que me encanta y como Diana lo hizo perfecto, cada gesto, movimiento corporal, mirada, tono de voz, debería ser la ganadora.
Quien tenga buen internet de súper fibra óptica podría hacerlo en el servidor. Mi internet esta malo. A esperar la ceremonia .

a mi si me divierte hacer predicciones, a veces acierto, otras no, en realidad las que yo quisiera que ganaran , no lo hacen. Es una injusticia lo que hicieron con Blonde, dejándola por fuera, cuando es una de las mejores del año pasado y meten Top Gun , ¡Madre mía!! que es entretenida y emocionante en algunas partes, pero hay muchas otras que fueron superiores y la dejaron por fuera. Elvis en drama, cuando debería ser en la otra categoría y ganar. En unos días veo la ceremonia, los discursos moralistas, activistas , etc van a ser un fastidio, pero espero que ocurra algo medio divertido. Bueno, y colirio para mis ojos con algunas actrices y sus vestidos

I have made an effort to watch almost all the nominations, I left out the TV comedy categories because I watch very few comedy series. I hope to get some of the categories right and Pinocchio should win.

Ojalá Everything Everywhere All At Once se lleve la mayor cantidad de premios posibles, se los merecen absolutamente, una de las películas mejores hechas en términos generales que no tiene nada que envidiarle al resto.
Everything Everywhere All At Once lo merece todo, ojala de la sorpresa. Todavía no encuentro explicación a Top Gun nominada como mejor película drama y que dejaran por fuera Blonde.
Aún no veo Blonde, no me quiero empeorar viendo algo tan fuerte, aunque debería hacerlo. Y me sigo riendo con Top Gun, jamás la voy a ver y no me hace falta, ya sé de lo que trata y no hay quinta pata que buscarle al gato. Seguro estaban drogados cuando la metieron en esa categoría, no hay otra explicación, aunque es una película de hombres blancos hteresexuales glorificando a hombres blancos heterosexuales, así que esa es más razón que suficiente para ellos, sin importar que la película sea más homoerótica que otra cosa. jajajajajajajaj
jajajaja bueno, tiene personajes femeninos Top Gun y estan empoderadas. peros si, hay mas macho pecho peludo.
Mientras tengas un estado de animo bajo, no veas Blonde, es mucho sufrimiento durante todo el film.
Que tal Jc interesante predicciones en especial porque tú inclinación siempre está hacia el arte como un buen conocedor del séptimo arte, el buen desempeño de los actores y la historia que se nos ofrece, y concuerdo contigo que los premios se decantaran por el mainstream.
Yo recién me activo nuevamente a ver películas y series, estoy apenas empezando a ver Better call Saul y ya estoy fascinado, pero también caí en el mainstream, principalmente por las actividades familiares, ví Avatar la nueva en el cine y es una joya de la tecnología, eso nada más, incluso nuestras salas de cine ni en 3d le hacen justicia.
También ví con mi hijo top gun aprovechando que la pusieron en Star+ y a él le fascinó, yo que vinla primera me dije más de lo mismo pero con las escenas más claras y mejores efectos, quizás sea como dices, es.para llamar la atención de la audiencia joven, pero no creo que resulte.
Better call Saul una de las mejores seres gringas de los últimos años. Una injusticia que Rhea Seehorn no este nominada por su interpretación en la ultima temporada de la serie. Kim lo era todo.
Han dejado mejores producciones por fuera en categoría drama.
La prensa Extranjera quiere refrescar su imagen y enterrar los escándalos. Tom Cruise devolvió sus globos de oro ganados en el pasado, nominar Top Gun es una provocación de la asociación.
Avatar 2 a nivel técnico es impecable, Cameron en ese aspecto es excelente, pero se excede en duración para lo que quiere contar. A esperar que ocurre y que jugada hacen, las nuevas generaciones es difícil que vean estos premios, todos son algo aburridos y la ceremonia dura demasiado, los jóvenes quieren divertirse, por eso muchos prefieren seguirlo por twitter, donde se comparten memes y videos graciosos.

Si eso he notado, por Twitter se arma el bochinche por llamarlo de una manera, de hecho en la entrega anterior supe de los ganadores por ese medio, la toxicidad de la plataforma hizo interesante un evento sencillo para la gente, pero ese es otro tema.
Mira que me gustó TOP GUN, la película es increíble pero que esté nominada a mejor Drama hay que echarle, por eso que aunque suene trillado estos premios me fastidian, son muchas cosas incomprensibles las que pasan. Capaz se la dan a Avatar aunque Elvis es la que debería.
Everything Everywhere All at Once, Pinocho van a ganar también, o eso espero. Y cuanto a series bue... Better CaLL Saul es la elegida peeero volvemos a lo de siempre, House of The Dragon y The Crown son series muy populares por lo que allí estará la ganadora.
Jeff Bridges — The Old Man, como me alegró esa nominación, el papel de él en esa serie es brutal.
Hay que ver, está medio complicado, fue un buen año el 2022 en cuanto a series y películas.
Si, son premios donde en realidad el poder del markting, el dinero, etc son los que determinan los ganadores, muchas películas que quedaron por fuera. Por ejemplo Blonde merecía mas nominaciones, no solo la de Ana de Armas, ya era pasarse no darle la nominación.
muchas buenas películas y series, en ese apartado también veo que se olvidaron de varias buenas series.

I support brendan fraser in terms of hypocrisy, since only these awards are won by productions with high budgets or with directors with a lot of influence, I would not be surprised at all if the vast majority of the awards go to james cameron, but if there are other good productions that I hope they win.
Sometimes there are categories that give the surprise, I hope to see at least one of my favorites win. All those awards have lost credibility, but it's fun to make predictions XD thanks for commenting.

Yo haré lo mismo que tú, seguiré los comentarios en twitter, me gustaría que Butler ganara ese premio, sí es joven, pero muchos jóvenes se pierden en el camino, una lastima con lo de Blonder y que no la hayan nominado a casi nada, se pasaron, pero no puedo decir que esté impresionada.
Que risa con lo de Avatar ¿por qué no te gusta? La quiero ver, he leído buenas opiniones, incluso un artículo donde analizaban que las personas habían tenido aumento de ideas suicidas después de salir de la película porque querían vivir en ese mundo 🙃. O ¿será porque la película fue muy mala y por eso se querían suicidar?

Esta ceremonia me gusta mas que otras, es un poco mas informal. Lo de Blonde, bueno, esa injusticia la vi venir desde que se estreno. Que este nominada Top Gun y no Blonde, es realmente para reír, parece una broma. igualmente estoy casi seguro que ganara Cate Blanchet, la cubana Ana de Armas debe conformarse con la nominación, ya es algo que le abrirá muchas otras opciones en su carrera. También quisiera que ganara Butler. Lo dije en las reseñas de ambos film, Marilyn y Elvis se pasearan en la alfombra roja.
Avatar con su efectos especiales y tecnología para crear ese universo, todo bien, pero no es una película que me emocione. No he leído ese articulo, seguro es por lo mala.
Espero poder ver ese día la ceremonia, incluso la alfombra roja, para ver las actrices

Ok, bueno no he podido ver la última temporada de The Crown debería hacerlo, tengo tiempo 😅 Y Bueno la otra serie Call Saúl, tampoco la he visto. Pero concuerdo en que debería ganar The Crown por encima de Euphoria, aunque la última temporada estuvo más cruda y me gustó muchísimo, es atinado lo que dices, ha pasado tiempo.
Mi apuesta es White Lotus también 😂 que la ví. Y realmente tiene una excelente producción. Necesitaba este post para orientarme de las que me faltan por ver 🤭
Salieron varias animadas el año pasado, pero sí creo que el premio irá para Del Toro.
Me faltaron las categorías de comedia en televisión, per veo muy pocas comedias, nunca las incluyo. Este premio sirve de antesala a los Oscar, muchos de los nominados es casi seguro que también sean nominados al premio Oscar.
The Crown es excelente, me han gustado todas sus temporadas, solo falta que graben la ultima para despedirnos de una gran serie.
