RE: Was it a "good" ending?

My weariness began in the third season. I was no longer enthusiastic about watching the series; some things amused me, others didn't. Then, the creator gave it a distinctly contemporary political slant, solely in service of his ideology, and that was the last straw.

I'm going to see what the prequel is like, a spin-off set in the 1950s with Soldier Boy as the protagonist.
