A QUIET PLACE

I might be crazy but I had wished to experience a quiet place. I could remember watching this movie in 2021 at my home town with my cousin.

The adrenaline that courses through my veins each time I see those giant ugly hunting creatures, sometimes I end up clapping my hands or even speaking to the tv like I'm directly speaking to the characters. Yeah, you will literally laugh at me in that state. Especially if I see the creatures coming so fast about to eat my favourite character.

I watched this movie with no reviews and expectations but I ended up holding my chest before the movie finished. I wished there will be more episodes especially when the solution was found to kill all the f*cking creatures. You could say the same as me when you eventually watch this movie.

A family of four struggle for survival after they get invaded by blinded creatures who get attracted by noise. It gets more serious when all their pathways are lined up by sands in order not to mistakenly step on dry leaves. Their communication is based on signs and they survived through that means until I had my first heartbreak, the last boy dying. They were all walking home in a single file when the last born tone on his cartoon, nobody saw him holding it and it made noise, it was already too late. These creatures are already close. They are too fast for my liking, in the space of seconds.

If they hear you, they hunt you. Emily Blunt is a strong woman, after she had lost her husband in the hands of the creatures. She's about to give birth to her baby alone. How will she do it? What if the creature hears the cry of the baby? Will she ever survive?

A quiet place is that movie that will hold you at a pause with your heart beating so fast. As a fan of horror movies I can't just compare, it almost gives the vibe of a horror and more mysterious. You can't guess what might happen next, who will be eaten next? Who will survive the ruthless scheme of survival?

If you must survive, you must not make any sound. Not even a whisper. They are too fast to hear you.

The most heartbreaking scene was when Emily Blunt made a sound in her house, she was trying to find the whereabouts of her kids looking through the camera. One of the creatures was alone in the house. She slowly tiptoes down to her late husband's research room to hide but as she climbs down the ladder she steps on a nail and she tries so hard to suppress herself from screaming so hard even though the nail was buried into her foot.
