Sistas
I'm a lover of movies but I don't really relate so well with seasonal movies but this particular one made me glue to my screen probably because of the storyline and relatable character. The name of the movie “Sistas” is a black American movie about four ladies who happened to be friends going through their own struggles.
They were not in any way related but their closeness is so remarkable. They have each other's back and they try to help each other in any way they can to overcome their struggles. They are single ladies who struggle with guys' stuff.
Andi, one of the characters. I guess the richest among the four Sistas, a divorce attorney. She happened to be dating a married man who was trying to divorce his wife. She fell for this guy to the extent even when she wanted to leave, she just couldn't. The married man's wife comes to her for help. She wants to take 75% of her husband's properties. At first Andi didn't know she's the wife but when she calls the name she shook with both fear and surprise. She wants to hand over the case to another lawyer but her boss insisted on her doing it. She was in a conflicting situation, things became messy when the wife hired a private investigator to find out who the side chick was.
The private investigator comes to Andi first, the man in question wasn't only seeing Andi but numerous other ladies.
Andi was so confused, she's in love with this guy and couldn't let him go even when other guys were coming for her. This character is kind of relatable; it portrays when a woman falls in love with you, she gives it her all irrespective of her flaws. At some point I got so angry with this character, especially when she lost her career and everything she had for this guy just because she couldn't back out. The plot twist comes in: the wife of the married man was cheating too with another popular divorce attorney. She wants to get her husband's properties so she can be with the other guy, but then the married man had the FBI on his tail because he was being investigated for money laundering.Karen is another character, bad-mouthed but sexy. She's a hair stylist. She fell in love with an ex-convict who couldn't do much for her because of his criminal record.
Karen takes him in and feeds him, but that isn't what she wants. When there is love but no money, she wants a man who can take care of her bills and spend on her, not one she will take care of. Her life became so messy when she met another guy, a preacher at the mob who was trying to divorce his wife because she cheated. The wife didn't want to divorce him; she begged for forgiveness, but the preacher's word stood. It gets crazier after the divorce; the man's ex-wife kills herself at Karen's salon now the family of the girl is on Karen. They threatened her and accused her of being the reason she committed suicide.
Sabrina, another character, is a banker who fell in love with Calvin but finds it hard to believe him. She thinks he's gay since he was raised by two gay fathers. Things become messy when Calvin wants Sabrina to commit to the relationship. Sabrina doesn't trust him, and with another guy by her side, their relationship became so complicated.
Danni, a CSA at the airport. She always feels right in whatever she says. Always stating the obvious even in a sensitive situation. She gets hooked up with a white guy who loves her, but his family doesn't want her. She pushes the guy away when she can't control her emotions. When she says, Don't do this, that is when she wants you to do it. She tells the guy to stop calling her frequently, and when he stops, she begins to feel he's with another girl.
In conclusion, each episode comes with its own plot twist. At some point the character you're rooting for messes up, and later on it's been resolved. A movie I will rate 8/10.Worth my time and money.

With how you wrote this review, the movie would be an interesting one especially when things look so tight like this and you’d be like “what will happen now?” lol
I love this but why would the woman kill herself in Karen’s shop making it look like she killed her?
Is the movie on Netflix?
She thought Karen was dating her ex-husband while she was not. Karen's mind was messy since Zac left her. She wanted Zac but not the broke version of Zac.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this, and I relate to everything you've written. Andi's character frustrated me sooo much. It was hard not to want to jump into the series and slap her into her right senses.
My friends often compared me to Karen, so I couldn't help but love her. 😂
I really want to watch this series again. Where did you watch/download them from, please?
Karen turning into a preacher's girlfriend was insane. Her mode of dressing changed, she stopped being sassy and all others.. but I love the old Karen, fierce and straight to the point.
I loved this series so much, and up until Season 5 when I stopped cause it was getting to annoying. It was my favourite series. My best characters being Danni and Zac. Love those two!
Danni can be so judgemental but Zac that dude needs to stop self pity.
