Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. So guys, I have been watching a lot of movies lately. I have a little more time for them now because of school. While watching these movies that I got from a colleague I stumbled upon one of Jennifer Lopez's movies, SHOTGUN WEDDING. I love her movies so much, I think I might be obsessed, hehe. So I decided this is the next movie I was going to be watching.

ABOUT THE MOVIE
The movie "SHOTGUN WEDDING" is a 2022 action comedy about a couple, Tom and Darcy who bring their families and friends to a private island in the Philippines for their wedding.
Both families are a handful but they believe that they will scale through. While preparing for the rehearsal dinner, Darcy's ex, who was invited by her father, arrives in a very grand entry. Tom doesn't like it but he doesn't do anything.

The next morning while preparing, Darcy doesn't feel right so she calls Tom to talk to him, they meet at a point on the island while they are talking/arguing with each other, the island gets invaded by pirates.

Everyone except for them are taken hostage, they request for $45 million dollars from the Bride's father,Robert Rivera but he refuses to give it to them until he is sure that his daughter is safe.
Darcy and Tom are eventually caught but they escape their captors after killing one of them. Then they try to find a way to save their family during this time they talk about their doubts and fears about the wedding.

Tom and Darcy find a hiding spot beneath the manager's office, staying there doesn't help them in any way so Tom surrenders himself.
Going to the pool where the others are held hostage, Tom exposes Darcy's ex,Sean as the one who hired the pirates to steal from Robert. Not knowing where Darcy is, Sean goes in search of her with Robert's girlfriend,Harriett who is his cohort.

Darcy decides to come out of her hiding and meets Tom at the pool, they find a way to overpower the remaining pirates and the guests go to find a safe place to stay.
Tom and Darcy go to find a way to call for help before Sean comes back. On their way to the dock they are attacked by Sean they manage to escape him but Harriett shoots at them from a helicopter.
Sean is able to catch up with them and Tom gets in a fight with him while Darcy drives the boat. Finally after a lot of struggling and gunshots Sean crashes into the helicopter and it falls into the water.

After everything, the police arrest the remaining pirates. Tom and Darcy finally get married.
What really got me in this movie was the comic part. I laughed a lot even though they were also violent. Like I said before, I love Jennifer Lopez's movies and she did not disappoint me.

I will recommend this movie to anyone who has never watched it before and also anyone who loves Jennifer Lopez's movies.

SOBRE LA PELÍCULA
La película "SHOTGUN BODA" es una comedia de acción de 2022 sobre una pareja, Tom y Darcy que traen a sus familias y amigos a una isla privada en Filipinas para su boda.
