Debo comenzar este post diciendo que me encanta la saga de los Juegos del Hambre, siempre he tenido esa fascinación por las historias distópicas o post-apocalípticas en donde la sociedad como la conocemos tiene un giro en donde se realzan en muchas ocasiones los aspectos más oscuros de nuestra civilización, en ese sentido, los juegos del hambre proporcionan un contexto de ciencia ficción muy interesante, además de que es un complemento excepcional a la acción vista en pantalla. Es por esa razón que deseaba ver esta precuela, para saber un poco más del mundo en que se sumerge esta historia, conocer como se sostienen los argumentos en Panem dentro de la historia de su futuro presidente.
En esta oportunidad viajamos 60 años antes de la línea de tiempo de las primeras películas, tan solo una década de que iniciaron los juegos del hambre en Panem y se volvieron la ley que rige toda esa nación. El joven Coriolanus Snow de escasos recursos, lucha para escalar en sus pretenciones políticas y profesionales, teniendo vital importancia estos juegos del hambre en el que deberá ayudar a una chica del distrito más empobrecido del país (distrito 12).
Análisis del Filme
Viaje en el tiempo
Una de las características más memorables de este filme es sin dudas la ambientación, sabemos que nos encontramos en un ambiente distópico y de ciencia ficción, si embargo, la escenografía como artefactos, vehículos y edificios nos hacen recordar los años 60. Hace que sintamos ese retroceso en el tiempo pero manteniendo la línea argumental distópica.
Me encantó ver los televisores antiguos, pero gigantes, con esa pantalla redondeada que tanto caracterizó aquellos años, los micrófonos, algunos peinados y demás, es una mezcla entre futuro y pasado que se entrelaza muy bien en la historia, al menos desde un punto de vista visual.
Otra característica que me llamó la atención es la arquitectura de Panem, tiene un indiscutible aire soviético en su arquitectura, la plaza, monumentos y banderas colgando de sus edificios, además, siempre mostrando el rojo como principal argumento político, la verdad no sé si alguien lo notó.

En esta precuela se limitan las escenas de acción, en comparación a otras producciones, aunque si bien existe un momento para los famosos juegos del hambre, la violencia y las muertes no es el principal atractivo de este filme, esto puede ser positivo para algunos y muy malo para otros espectadores que deseaban ver mucha sangre.
La historia se adentra más que nada en aspectos políticos, con un toque de romance como complemento, y para endulzar el argumento que bien puede ser algo áspero para algunos, sin embargo, la historia, con ese enfoque político, de supervivencia y romance, parece una fórmula que terminará siendo positiva para el público en general.
Hay una escena que ciertamente me sorprendió y es sobre las explosiones dentro de la arena de competición, creo que posee muy buenos efectos visuales y de sonido, además esta escena cambia por completo el panorama y la secuencia de grabación, tomando por sorpresa al espectador, pero al mismo tiempo dándole un giro argumental muy interesante que termina siendo un condimento esencial para mantener la atención en el filme.
Actuación
Me agradó bastante el trabajo de Tom Blyth como protagonista, se logra un personaje con un excepcional desarrollo, en una seguidilla de diferentes situaciones que lo colocan desde puestos de prestigio como de guardia de paz en el distrito 12, lo cierto es que la evolución como personajes puede ser uno de los principales atractivos argumentales que posee esta película.
Respondiendo la pregunta definitiva de toda la saga bajo su propio juicio ¿Para qué sirven los juegos del hambre?
Más de dos horas y media de duración.
Esta película la vi en el cine junto a mi esposa, y algo que a ella le disgusta es ver un filme con más de dos horas de metraje, sin embargo, este filme le pareció bueno a pesar de su duración, ciertamente el tiempo se me pasó volando en esta película.

Desde mi punto de vista es una buena película, a pesar de que no tiene el mismo guion de los otros filmes de los juegos del hambre, se introduce desde otro punto de vista que me parece que termina por funcionar ante los ojos del espectador, por supuesto, si alguno desea ver muerte de principio a fin, quizás tenga algunas decepciones.
Me parece que la narrativa es correcta en el desarrollo de la historia, sobre todo, en el desarrollo de sus personajes, que son la característica más importante y llamativa desde mi punto de vista.
Así como lo mencioné en este post, lo más destacado es la historia, el desarrollo de personaje y la ambientación, creo que ese es el mayor atractivo del filme, que si bien puede tener una opinión dividida, me parece que es un filme bueno, sin ser una obra de arte, logra el objetivo y quisiera tener una precuela sobre aquella guerra en la que se producen los juegos del Hambre.
¿La recomiendo?
Sí, es un filme que seguramente muchos de los fanáticos de los juegos del hambre verán indudablemente, sin embargo, puede tener entretenimiento incluso para aquellos que no han visto las películas anteriores, es un filme interesante que a pesar de un metraje de más de dos horas y media, pienso que vale la pena ver y disfrutar de los detalles que esta precuela nos presenta. La recomiendo abiertamente.

I must begin this post by saying that I love the Hunger Games saga, I have always had that fascination for dystopian or post-apocalyptic stories where society as we know it has a twist where the darkest aspects of our civilization are enhanced on many occasions, in that sense, the Hunger Games provide a very interesting science fiction context, plus it is an exceptional complement to the action seen on screen. It is for that reason that I wanted to see this prequel, to know a little more of the world in which this story is immersed, to know how the arguments are held in Panem within the history of its future president.
This time we travel 60 years before the timeline of the first films, just a decade after the Hunger Games began in Panem and became the law that governs that entire nation. One of the most memorable features of this film is undoubtedly the setting, we know that we are in a dystopian and science fiction environment, however, the scenery as artifacts, vehicles and buildings remind us of the 60s. It makes us feel that we are going back in time but keeping the dystopian story line.
I loved seeing the old TV sets, but giant, with that rounded screen that characterized those years, the microphones, some hairstyles and so on, it's a mix between future and past that intertwines very well in the story, at least from a visual point of view.
Another feature that caught my attention is the architecture of Panem, it has an undeniable Soviet air in its architecture, the square, monuments and flags hanging from its buildings, also, always showing red as the main political argument, the truth I don't know if anyone noticed it.
This film has the signature Hunger Games action.
In this prequel action scenes are limited, compared to other productions, although there is a moment for the famous hunger games, violence and deaths is not the main attraction of this film, this may be positive for some and very bad for other viewers who wanted to see a lot of blood.
The story delves mostly into political aspects, with a touch of romance as a complement, and to sweeten the plot that may well be a bit rough for some, however, the story, with that political, survival and romance approach, seems like a formula that will end up being positive for the general public.
There is one scene that certainly surprised me and it is about the explosions inside the competition arena, I think it has very good visual and sound effects, also this scene completely changes the panorama and the shooting sequence, taking the viewer by surprise, but at the same time giving it a very interesting plot twist that ends up being an essential condiment to keep the attention in the film.
Performance.
I was quite pleased with the work of Tom Blyth as the protagonist, a character with an exceptional development is achieved, in a series of different situations that place him from positions of prestige as a peacekeeper in the 12th district, the truth is that the evolution as characters can be one of the main plot attractions that this film has.

I saw this movie in the theater with my wife, and something that she dislikes is to see a film with more than two hours of footage, however, she found this film good despite its length, certainly the time flew by in this movie.

Voy a totalmente honesto y de verdad no me gustó no superó las expectativas que yo tenía de lo que nos había dejado el Sinsajo 1 y 2 pero sí estuvo muy buena la trama me gustó ver los inicios de snow.
