Hola cinéfilos, en esta ocasión dese compartir con ustedes mi opinión personal sobre un filme que en mi caso debía ver si o si, su título original es Prey, es una película sobre uno de mis personajes del espacio exterior favoritos (Depredador). En mi caso, ya había visto el póster, pero no lo asocié inmediatamente al depredador, claro, en por momentos ignoré la clásica sangre bioluminiscente que poseen estos alienígenas, la cual cubre el rostro de la protagonista como señal de combate.
Por esa razón ignoré el filme, sin embargo, al detenerme para ver el tráiler, supe que debía verla, no revisé críticas ni absolutamente nada, ya que tengo un cariño especial tanto a Alien como al Depredador, aunque las películas sean malas, yo siempre me sentiré cómodo, por el hecho de que me agrada mucho la historia de ambos personajes.
¿A qué viene todo esto?
Hace poco, realicé una publicación sobre como conocí la ciencia ficción y lo que ha significado en mi niñez, entre las películas que recuerdo que mi padre veía constantemente era la de Depredador de 1989 con Arnold Schwarzenegger. Así como lo mencioné en aquella oportunidad, mi padre me regalo una figura de acción de Depredador en una actividad navideña en el preescolar (si, en el preescolar), a pesar de lo que podían pensar los otros padres, ese juguete me encantó y lo tuve hasta mi adolescencia, por lo cual, este tipo de películas siempre me van a atraer, ya que me remonta a la infancia cuando mi padre y yo veíamos películas de ciencia ficción.
Sinopsis:
Naru es una joven Comanche en el siglo XVII, quien desea convertirse en cazadora como su hermano, una muy buena rastreadora encuentra señales de lo que parece una amenaza, por lo cual decide cazarlo, sin saber, que encontró el rastro de un Depredador.
Análisis de la Película
Lo primero que notaremos al ver el filme es su ambientación y una muy buena calidad de imagen, una estética elegante y al mismo tiempo atractiva, me agrada el hecho de que sea ambientada junto a los Comanches, expertos cazadores que han existido en nuestra historia, así que podríamos enfocarlo en una competencia por saber quien es el mejor cazador, el hombre o un Depredador.
Para los que conocemos un poco sobre los depredadores, sabremos que vienen a la tierra para cazar, es más que un simple deporte para estos extraterrestres, sin embargo, no cazan a cualquier animal, sino aquellos que también son cazadores, los que logran superar las distintas pruebas suben de nivel o rango en su sociedad, así que el depredador protagonista de este filme, se podría decir que es un novato, ya que los depredadores más avanzados compiten directamente con los Aliens y no con animales salvajes o humanos en la tierra.
Al principio del post menciono a la película de 1989, la cual me parece de lo mejor sobre este personaje, sin dudas fue un gran éxito aquella película en donde se enfrentaba cara a cara contra Arnold Schwarzenegger, un Depredador formidable, una batalla en la jungla por la supervivencia del más astuto. Este aspecto que tanto funcionó en 1989 son los cimientos para construir esta nueva historia, ya no sobre un militar sino enfocado a humanos expertos en la supervivencia y cacería, por lo cual la ambientación y la estructura de este argumento me parecen interesantes desde el inicio.
El filme nos muestra a los Comanches, así que los rasgos característicos de esa tribu, aunque si observamos bien a la protagonista (Amber Midthunder), son evidentes sus rasgos latinos frente a los que debería poseer una Comanche, ignorando esto, el filme nos coloca en una ambientación muy buena, con efectos especiales interesantes, aunque a mi parecer no son los mejores, pero si son un condimento especial en el filme.
La película nos muestra grandes habilidades de la tribu, por momentos enfrenado muy dignamente frente a un depredador, una coreografía interesante que, aunque por pinceladas, hace que la película tenga un toque de acción bastante emocionante.
El filme no posee una historia muy compleja o una trama muy profunda, se desarrollan los hechos de manera simple, pienso que así como en toda película hay algunas exageraciones que notará el espectador lógico, a pesar de todo, esto a mi juicio el filme nos presenta una narrativa que envuelve e interesante aún manteniendo su simplicidad.

Es un filme entretenido, me agrada este personaje del espacio exterior, sin embargo, siendo que esperaba un poco más sobre el filme, sobre todo en la estructura de la trama, deseaba saber un poco más, pero todo el desarrollo del filme es completamente plano, sin embargo, logra captar la atención con una muy buena estética y también con interesantes efectos especiales, si bien existe escenas sangrientas, estas tienen un límite por lo cual elegantemente el filme aparta la mirada con efectos de desenfoque, esto evidentemente para ampliar el rango de público que puede ver el filme. Captar una las nuevas generaciones a este universo de depredadores sería un objetivo claro para la casa productora.
¿Lo Recomiendo?
Sí, es una película entretenida desde mi punto de vista, por supuesto, así como lo mencioné anteriormente desde niño, me gustan mucho las historias de Aliens y Depredadores, así que puede que mi juicio tienda a ser nublado, sin embargo, pienso que el filme logra el objetivo de entretener de principio a fin, buenas escenas de acción e interesantes efectos especiales, una trabajo visual de calidad y uno de los extraterrestres más icónicos del cine, una muy buena combinación para ver en una película por la tarde.

Just as I mentioned at the time, my father gave me a Predator action figure as a gift at a Christmas activity in pre-school (yes, pre-school), despite what other parents might think, I loved that toy and had it until my teenage years, which is why, these types of movies will always appeal to me, as it takes me back to childhood when my father and I would watch sci-fi movies.

Film Analysis
The first thing we notice when watching the film is its setting and a very good image quality, an elegant aesthetic and at the same time attractive, I like the fact that it is set with the Comanches, expert hunters that have existed in our history, so we could focus on a competition to know who is the best hunter, the man or a Predator.
For those who know a little about the predators, we know that they come to earth to hunt, it is more than a simple sport for these aliens, however, they do not hunt any animal, but those who are also hunters, those who manage to overcome the various tests rise in level or rank in their society, so the predator protagonist of this film, you could say that it is a novice, as the most advanced predators compete directly with the Aliens and not with wild animals or humans on earth.
At the beginning of the post I mention the 1989 film, which I think is one of the best about this character, without a doubt it was a great success that film where he went head to head against Arnold Schwarzenegger, a formidable Predator, a battle in the jungle for the survival of the fittest. This aspect that worked so well in 1989 is the foundation on which to build this new story, no longer about a military man but focused on humans who are experts in survival and hunting, which is why the setting and structure of this plot seems interesting to me from the start.
The film shows us the Comanches, so the characteristic features of that tribe, although if we observe well the main character (Amber Midthunder), her latin features are evident against those that a Comanche should have, ignoring this, the film puts us in a very good setting, with interesting special effects, although in my opinion they are not the best, but they are a special spice in the film.
The film shows us great skills of the tribe, at times facing a predator in a very dignified way, an interesting choreography that, although in brushstrokes, makes the film have a touch of action quite exciting.
The film does not have a very complex story or a very deep plot, the facts are developed in a simple way, I think that as in every film there are some exaggerations that the logical viewer will notice, in spite of everything, in my opinion the film presents us with a narrative that is involving and interesting even though it maintains its simplicity.

It is an entertaining film, I like this character from outer space, however, being that I expected a little more about the film, especially in the structure of the plot, I wanted to know a little more, but the whole development of the film is completely flat, however, it manages to capture the attention with a very good aesthetic and also with interesting special effects, although there are bloody scenes, these have a limit so elegantly the film looks away with blur effects, this evidently to expand the range of audience that can see the film. Capturing a new generation to this universe of predators would be a clear objective for the production company.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, it's an entertaining film from my point of view, of course, as I mentioned earlier as a child, I really like the Aliens and Predator stories, so my judgement may tend to be clouded, however, I think the film achieves the goal of entertaining from start to finish, good action scenes and interesting special effects, quality visual work and one of the most iconic aliens in cinema, a very good combination to watch in an afternoon movie.

La primera Depredador fue un gran éxito, recuerdo que yo la vi por RCTV que la pasaron un Domingo de estreno jajaja años después la alquile en el videclub para disfrutarla como debía. La segunda parte no me gusto mucho y después han intentad seguir explotando la franquicia y lo pusieron a pelar hasta con Alien 😅
Esta la vi hace poco, me agrado, es buena, entretenida, me gusto el personaje femenino, de todas las que han saco los últimos años de Depredador, esta es la que me ha gustado mas.
Ha tenido éxito, seguro van a seguir exprimiendo el limón hasta que no salga ni una gota de jugo
A mí me gustó que lo pusieron a pelear con Aliens jajaja, pero igual pienso que esta fue una película entretenida, yo espero que sigan exprimiendo a estos personajes que tanto me gustan.
Yo tenía que esperar a que la pasarán en la televisión, pero las basaban a cada rato.
El personaje femenino también me gustó, no tenía una inclusión forzada y me gustó que fuese ambientada con esta tribu.
A pesar de que la historia no es muy profunda sirve como abreboca para la continuidad del ese universo.

Nunca he sido muy fan del depredador, y creo que es porque de pequeño ese personaje me daba un poco de miedo 😅. Pero a pesar de eso me puse a ver este film y me entretuvo bastante, que era justamente lo que estaba buscando. de las franquicias que están siendo sobre explotadas en estos últimos tiempos, en este caso al menos lo hicieron bien.

Ya he leído varias veces que desde el film original de Depredador está es la mejor secuela que se ha hecho, algo que no me sorprende considerando lo ingenioso de su premisa, la tengo que ver pero primero debo darle una oportunidad a la película de 1987.
Tiene una buena historia, yo he visto todas, pero recuerdo con mucho cariño la primera película, bueno aunque a muchos no les gustará a mí me gustó Aliens vs Depredador también.
Este filme es un muy buen abreboca para ampliar este universo. Yo espero que sea así.

Phewww...I just saw this movie and made a review myself...we cannot take away the setting because that's part of what makes this movie a masterpiece and it creates a different field for the predator to explore...hunting humans which do not in any way match up with him....I love how the movie progressed, with little or no boring moments...it leaves you glued and eager to know what happens next.
