MOVIE REVIEW: 97 MINUTES
I really enjoy movies that keep you at the edge of your seat, and 97 Minutes did just that. It’s full of action, tension, and real emotion. The movie takes place on a hijacked plane with only 97 minutes of fuel left. What makes this movie more special is not just the danger it’s the tough choices, the surprises that arose and how people behave when every second counts. The actors, especially Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alec Baldwin, did a great job making the story feel real and serious.
The Story
The movie starts fast: a plane has been hijacked in the air, and there’s not much time before it crashes. On board is a secret agent pretending to be a regular passenger. On the ground, the people in charge must decide whether to shoot down the plane or try to save the people on it. Every seconds that pass makes the situation look worst.
The Plot
The agent on the plane is making every effort to stop the bad guys without getting caught. At first He tries to stay calm and think fast. At the same time, the government leaders are watching the plane and making hard decisions. Some people's effort was to bring the plane down to protect people on the ground. While some wants to wait to see if they can save everyone
As the agent works, he learns that this terrible attack is due to something bigger. Which a particular group wants to takeover what happens around the world using fear and violence.
The Big Surprise
Just when you think you understand what’s going on, the movie surprises you. The true enemy is someone the agent and the government used to know someone who used to be on their side but now has a different, dangerous plan. And it makes everything looks more personal.
Then comes the hardest moment. The agent has to choose between saving the people on the plane or stopping the plan and saving more lives in the future. It’s a painful choice, and he struggles with it.
Action and Emotion
The action scenes are exciting fights in narrow aisles, people running, shouting, and trying to survive. But the movie also has emotion. You can feel the fear of the passengers, the pressure on the agent, and the weight of every decision. It’s not just about shooting and fighting it’s about doing the right thing when there’s no easy answer.
Why You Should Watch
If you like movies that are fast, serious, and full of emotion, 97 Minutes is worth watching. It’s short, intense, and full of surprises. You’ll feel like you’re right there with the characters, feeling their stress and hoping they make it out alive.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers gives a strong performance. You can see the pain and bravery in his face. Alec Baldwin, even though he’s not in every scene, plays his part with strength and wisdom.
The ending is not perfect, but it makes sense. It feels real. Sometimes in life, there are no happy endings just people trying their best.
I’d give 97 Minutes a solid 8.8 out of 10.
It’s not just a race against time.
It’s a story about hard choices, bravery, and hope.
