Love at first sight | Movie Review 🎥🍿
Today something happened to me that I thought would be destiny, a curious fact because the film that I am going to present to you next deals with destiny and probabilities... Anyway, yesterday Netflix notified me about a movie, yes this one, and the strange thing is that I have disabled the notifications or I even think I hallucinated it, I don't know anymore. The thing is that today I came back to see that movie and maybe share it here, exactly what I'm doing.
The statistical probability of love at first sight. Quite a long title for a movie, but who cares? I guess me, hahaha. I was kind of excited to see Haley Lu because I recognized her from other movies.
Hoy me sucedió algo que pensé que sería el destino, curioso hecho porque en la película que a continuación les voy a presentar trata del destino y las probabilidades... En fin, ayer Netflix me notificó acerca de una película, sí esta misma, y lo extraño es que yo tengo desactivadas las notificaciones o incluso creo que lo aluciné, ya no lo sé. La cosa es que hoy volví para ver esa película y quizá compartirla aquí, justamente lo que estoy haciendo.
La probabilidad estadística del amor a primera vista. Un título bastante largo para una película, ¿pero a quién le importa? Supongo que a mi, jajaja. Estaba algo emocionada al ver a Haley Lu porque la reconocí de otras películas.
Let's talk about the movie, today I do think I will be precise and I will not expand because I feel that my opinion is one.
We start with a narration, the entire film has this format, and I don't know if it's a good thing or not, I think it was a little annoying for me at times. In the first scene, Hadley enters, who unfortunately misses a flight from New York to London. With the little time available, she manages to find another flight because she must travel to the wedding of her father, who is getting married for the second time. Hadley, while she has some time left, notices that her phone has no battery and goes to a special charging place but cannot find a place. A young man kindly looks at her and through the eyes of the screen as if we were that young man, we know that Hadley's image made an impression on him, which is why he decides to give her his place to charge her phone and Hadley refuses, however they end up eating together before taking the same flight.
Hablemos de la película, hoy sí creo que seré precisa y no me extenderé porque siento que mi opinión es una sola.
Empezamos con una narración, toda la película tiene este formato, y no sé si sea algo bueno o no, creo que a mi se me hizo un poco molesto en ocasiones. En la primera escena entra Hadley quien desafortunadamente pierde un vuelo de New York a Londres, con el poco tiempo disponible logra encontrar otro vuelo porque debe viajar a la boda de su padre, quién se casa por segunda vez. Hadley mientras le queda algo de tiempo nota que su celular no tiene batería y se dirige a un lugar especial de carga pero no encuentra sitio, un joven amablemente la mira y a través de los ojos de la pantalla como si nosotros fuésemos ese joven, es cuando sabemos que causó una impresión en él la imagen de Hadley, por lo mismo que decide cederlo su lugar para cargar su celular y Hadley se niega, sin embargo terminan comiendo juntos antes de tomar el mismo vuelo.
On the plane they were sitting in different places, but due to fate they end up sitting together and here we could say that a fleeting love begins, then they are separated upon landing, before the inevitable separation the young man, named Oliver, decides to leave his phone number written down on Hadley's phone, however, she drops her cphone and it turns off. Things happened at the airport and they didn't meet before leaving, and that's how the task of meeting again is created because obviously they both fell in love.
En el avión estaban sentados en lugares diferentes, pero por cosas del destino terminan sentados juntos y aquí podríamos decir que empieza un amor fugaz, luego son separados al aterrizar, antes de la inevitable separación el joven, llamado Oliver decide dejarle su número de celular anotado en el celular de Hadley, sin embargo, a esta se le cae su celular y se apaga. En el aeropuerto sucedieron cosas y no se encontraron antes de irse, y así es como se convierte la tarea de reencontrarse nuevamente porque obviamente ambos quedaron flechados.

The title of the film is due to Oliver (I think so), he is a boy who studies statistics at Yale, to be safer in his world and that nothing takes him by surprise due to a past event that changed his way of thinking. Oliver has the habit of measuring absolutely everything in probabilities, but I guess he didn't expect all of this that happened at all.
El título de la película se debe a Oliver (eso creo), es un chico que estudia estadísticas en Yale, para estar más seguro en su mundo y que nada lo tome por sorpresa debido a un acontecimiento pasado qué le cambió su forma de pensar. Oliver tiene la costumbre de medir absolutamente todo en probabilidades, pero supongo que todo esto que sucedió no se lo esperaba para nada.

Ok, not to be too sharp… I didn't like the movie. In fact, I did some research and saw that it comes from a novel, I haven't read the novel to give an opinion from that perspective. If it were an original production I would have said that I would love it to be cheesier and more romantic, the characters seem a little stiff and cold for my taste. When they are romantic comedies I usually expect the characters to explode with love. It is quite simple and at times it looked a little cute but it lacked more spark, on the other hand it touches on important topic that seemed taken very lightly, probably from my perspective I would not recommend it.
Ok, para no ser tan afilada… no me gustó la película. De hecho, investigué un poco y vi que viene de una novela, no he leído la novela para dar una opinión desde esa perspectiva. Si fuese una producción original hubiera dicho que me encantaría que fuese más cursi y más romántica, los personajes se ven un poco tiesos y fríos para mi gusto. Cuando son comedias románticas por lo general espero que los personajes exploten de amor. Es bastante sencilla y en ocasiones se veía algo tierna pero le faltó más chispa, por otro lado toca temas importantes que parecieron tomados muy a ligera, probablemente desde mi perspectiva no la recomendaría.
This has me curious on this one, I think I am going to check this one out.
Dear friend that's "🌀🍿🎬Love at first sight🌀🍿🎬" to be a delightful romantic comedy. The chemistry between the lead actors was palpable, and the storyline was both heartwarming and funny. The film's beautiful cinematography added to its overall charm. I would definitely recommend it for a feel-good movie night.

Es todo un tema, el concepto al inicio llama la atención, pero es una lástima que no impacte y no te gustara. Cuando leí que el prota estudiaba estadística en Yale entendí algo del contexto.
Siento que últimamente ya uno no se conecta tanto con las películas, le quitan algo de esencia

Creo que la ví, o ví el tráiler o hay una película parecida.. no se porque últimamente las películas románticas se basan siempre en lo mismo. Cosa que me aburre y he dejado de verlas por esa razón.. con la descripción que das se que será una película solo de verla un rato y olvidar .. saludos 🫂
