Poor things | Movie Review 🎥
Today I bring you a movie recommendation that I really liked, at first I thought it was very twisted but then with an open mind I think I understood the point of the movie, beyond what is seen at first glance.
Hoy traigo una recomendación de película que me gustó bastante, al principio pensé que era muy retorcida pero después con una mente abierta creo que entendí el punto de la película, más allá de lo que se ve a simple vista.

Poor things, it does seem a little twisted, and at the beginning it gave me those Frankenstein vibes because of how everything starts, we could even say that if it is its modern version, you already realize it when they show us a surgeon who seemed to be quite ahead of his time and likes to experiment with absolutely any part of the body and making his scientific research and experiments advance quite a bit.
Poor things, sí parece un poco retorcida, y al inicio me dió esas vibras de Frankenstein por como inicia todo, incluso podríamos decir que si es su versión moderna, es que ya te das cuenta cuando nos muestran a un cirujano que parecía estar bastante adelantado a su época y le gusta experimentar con absolutamente cualquier parte del cuerpo y logrando que sus investigaciones y experimentos científica avancen bastante.

But it is not the story of this surgeon but of a beautiful woman reborn as Bella Baxter and when I say reborn I mean revived, since this woman actually committed suicide and was found by Dr. Baxter when the body was still warm. The interesting thing about how things turn out is that that was not her true self and there was no need to know, Dr. Baxter revived her but with a brain transplant, so she was no longer herself, so there was no point in knowing her past. If she wasn't going to remember any of that, plus there was the dilemma that people who tried to commit suicide are taken to prison for thinking about such a sin.
Pero no es la historia de este cirujano sino de una hermosa mujer renacida como bella baxter y cuando hablo de renacida quiero decir revivida, ya que esta mujer en realidad cometió suicidio y fue encontrada por el Dr. Baxter cuando el cuerpo aún seguía caliente. Lo interesante de cómo se tornan las cosas es que ese no era su verdadero y tampoco había necesidad de saberlo, el doctor Baxter la revivió pero con un transplante de cerebro, así que ya no era ella misma, así que no tenía sentido conocer su pasado si ella no iba a recordar nada de eso, además de que estaba el dilema de que las personas que tratan de cometer suicidio son llevadas a prisión por pensar en semejante pecado.

When Bella wakes up, she starts her life from 0, she knows nothing and has to learn everything again, like a baby in the body of an adult (👀) although her development is happening quite quickly, so much so that Bella herself understands at one point that she needs to go out into the outside world but is not allowed to. Firstly because if anyone sees her that way they will think she has a serious problem and secondly in case someone recognizes her and it is revealed that she tried to commit suicide and would go to prison, although basically these are the fears that Dr. Baxter had because he became attached to her.as if it were his own daughter.
Bella cuando despierta empieza su vida desde 0, no sabe nada y tiene que aprenderlo todo de nuevo, como un bebé en el cuerpo de un adulto (👀) aunque su desarrollo se va dando bastante rápido tanto que la misma Bella entiende en un punto que necesita salir al mundo exterior pero no lo tiene permitido. Primero porque si cualquier persona la ve de esa forma pensará que tiene un problema grave y segundo por si alguien la reconoce y se revela que intento suicidarse e iría a prisión, aunque básicamente estos son los miedos que tenía el Dr. Baxter porque se encariño con ella como si se tratase de su propia hija.

Likewise, Bella ends up escaping and living life like never before, like no other person had done, one would even say free from everything, and in fact, this is one of the messages of the film. Although if we go into a little more context, which I don't want to do, you're going to think at first that this is sick and disgusting, because there was a fine line between things that shouldn't be crossed. However, what must be understood is how we should explore the world without prejudice and this does not mean that we will do as we please without caring about the suffering of others, but rather live life according to our tastes, without fear of our truths. opinions, without fear of being hurt, without fear of being judged in this society that tries to impose more rules on us every day that end up denigrating the person.
I recommend watching this movie with an open mind and I understand that some scenes may seem sick but when the movie really develops, that's when we understand the true message and I would like to know if anyone has already seen it and what did you think? I would genuinely like to know someone else's opinion because I liked it and I feel that it was a very well done job, plus it must be admitted that in recent years there have not been so many successes with the films, they all seemed more of the same.
Igualmente Bella termina escapándose y viviendo la vida como nunca, como ninguna otra persona había hecho, hasta se diría que libre de todo, y de hecho, esta es uno de los mensajes de la película. Aunque si entramos un poco más en contexto que no lo quiero hacer, van a pensar al principio que es enfermizo y asqueroso, porque hubo una delgada línea entre cosas que no deben cruzarse. Sin embargo, lo que se debe entender es como debería explorar el mundo sin prejuicios y esto no queriendo decir que haremos lo que nos plazca sin importarnos el sufrimiento de los demás, sino vivir la vida de acuerdo a nuestros gustos, sin temor a nuestras verdades opiniones, sin temor a ser heridos, sin temor a ser juzgados en esta sociedad que trata de imponernos cada día más reglas que terminan denigrando a la persona.
Recomiendo ver esta película con una mente abierta y entiendo que algunas escenas pueden parecer algo enfermizo pero cuando se desarrolla realmente la película, es cuando vamos entiendo el verdadero mensajee gustaría saber si alguien ya la vió ¿y qué le pareció? Genuinamente me gustaría saber la opinión de alguien más porque a mí me gustó y siento que fue un trabajo muy bien logrado, además de que hay que admitir que estos últimos años no han sido tantos aciertos con las películas, todas parecían más de lo mismo.
