I recently watched Your Name it'd been on my list for a while, it was always recommended to me, and I finally made the time to watch it. (I did like it.)

Hace poco vi Your Name, la tenía en mi lista desde hace tiempo, siempre me la recomendaban y por fin me tomé el tiempo para verla. (Sí me gustó)

Your Name is a Japanese animated film that follows the story of Mitsuha, a girl who lives in a small town and dreams of a completely different life in the city, and Taki, a boy who lives in Tokyo. One day, without any explanation, they unexpectedly begin to switch bodies. At first, neither of them understands, nor do we as viewers, what is happening. It all seems quite chaotic, but little by little they begin to discover that there is something much bigger behind it all.

Your Name es una película de animación japonesa que sigue la historia sde Mitsuha, una chica que vive en un pequeño pueblo y sueña con tener una vida completamente diferente en la ciudad, y también tenemos a Taki, un chico que vive en Tokio. Un día, sin ninguna explicación, comienzan a intercambiar cuerpos de manera inesperada. Al principio ninguno entiende, ni nosotros como espectadores, qué está sucediendo. Todo esto resulta bastante caótico, pero poco a poco empiezan a descubrir que hay algo mucho más grande detrás de todo esto.

At first, it might seem like a lighthearted and even funny movie because of the body-swap situation, but as it progresses, it takes on a much more emotional tone. The story begins to connect pieces that seemed unrelated, and that's when I understood why it had such a good reputation.

Al principio puede parecer una película bastante ligera y hasta divertida por la situación de los cambios de cuerpo, pero mientras avanza va tomando un tono mucho más emocional. La historia empieza a conectar piezas que parecían no tener relación y ahí es cuando entendí por qué tenía tan buena fama.

Those who are more sentimental might shed a few tears during the story. I almost cried, but I held it in. What I loved most is that the film doesn't rely solely on clichés. While there is a beautiful love story, it also explores the connections we can have with others, even when we don't understand how or why. It also touches on themes like memory, destiny, time, and that feeling of knowing or missing someone without knowing exactly who they are. And all of this is accompanied by gorgeous animation, some scenes literally look like paintings.

Los mas sentimentales quizás van a llorar un poco con la historia. Yo casi lloro pero me aguanté. Lo que más me gustó es que la película no se queda solamente en cliché. Si hay una historia de amor muy bonita, pero también habla sobre las conexiones que podemos tener con otras personas, incluso cuando no entendemos cómo ni por qué. También toca temas como la memoria, el destino, el tiempo y esa sensación de conocer o extrañar a alguien sin saber exactamente quién es. Y todo esto está acompañado de una animación preciosa, hay escenas que parecen literalmente pinturas.
