[Anime review] [Eng - Esp] Assassin's Pride | The ancestry matters
Welcome dear internet travelers anime lovers and thank you very much for making a temporary stop on my post, I really wanted to see a gun fighting anime and it turns out that I stumbled upon something that apparently met my demands an anime called "Assassin's Pride" that puts on the table different conflicts related to the aristocracy, crazy powers and terrifying creatures. Just add, get ready to use mana since we are about to start this murderous adventure.
Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet amantes del anime y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, tenía muchas ganas de ver un anime de peleas con armas y resulta que me topé con algo que cumplía aparentemente con mis demandas un anime llamado “Assassin’s Pride” que pone sobre la mesa a diferentes conflictos relacionados con la aristocracia, poderes locos y criaturas aterradoras. Sin más que agregar prepárense para usar maná puesto que estamos por comenzar esta aventura asesina.
Assassin's Pride was adapted into an anime in 2019, created by Kei Amagi, directed by Kazuya Aiura and produced by EMT Squared, has 12 episodes. It is an action and fantasy anime, it poses a world with an aristocratic class that is made up of individuals capable of using manna to defend the population from different attacks of the beings of darkness, the prestige of each of the members of this elite is the most important thing so that before the suspicion that Melida Anjeru is the product of an infidelity on the part of the mother of the girl, the problem is that the girl belongs to one of the most respected families and her lack of talent is a very strong proof of doubt about her ancestry, that is why Kuufa Vampiru a professional assassin is hired to train the girl and take out the possible potential she has or assassinate her so that she stops staining her surname.
Assassin’s Pride fue adaptado al anime en 2019, creado por Kei Amagi, dirigido por Kazuya Aiura y producido por EMT Squared, cuenta con 12 episodios. Es un anime de acción y fantasía, plantea un mundo con una clase aristocrática que se encuentra conformada por individuos capaces de usar maná para poder defender a la población de diferentes ataques de los seres de la oscuridad, el prestigio de cada uno de los miembros de esta elite es lo más importante por lo que ante la sospecha de que Melida Anjeru sea producto de una infidelidad por parte de la madre de la chica, el problema es que la chica pertenece a una de las familias más respetadas y su falta de talento es una prueba muy fuerte de la duda sobre su ascendencia, es por ello que Kuufa Vampiru un asesino profesional es contratado para entrenar a la chica y sacar el posible potencial que tenga o asesinarla para que deje de manchar su apellido.

The soundtrack is decent but unfortunately it lacks that epic factor that merits any action anime which causes the battles to be lacking that exciting factor.
La banda sonora es decente pero desgraciadamente le falta ese factor épico que amerita cualquier anime de acción lo que provoca que las batallas sean carentes de ese factor emocionante.
The animation is not the best since it has little attention to detail in simple things, coupled with the fact that it adds too many exaggerated colors to the characters when they use the powers which is a rather harmful aspect when it comes to combat, in turn they are extremely static and simply feel lacking in fluidity.
La animación tampoco es la mejor puesto que posee poca atención a los detalles en cosas sencillas, aunado al hecho de que añade demasiados colores exagerados a los personajes cuando usan los poderes lo que es un aspecto bastante perjudicial a la hora de los combates, a su vez los mismos son sumamente estáticos y sencillamente se sienten carentes de fluidez.
The construction of the world is quite loose since it is explored in a very scarce way, it is simply reduced to exposing people obsessed with maintaining status but they are simply not given a valid reason for it such as: Protect pure lineages since they are their best weapon against the creatures of the night, prevent an individual lacking manna from putting her life and that of others at risk due to her lack of talent, among others, those 2 reasons I have just given are much more interesting than the stupidity of "We are a high society and we do not have to join the commoners". Finally there are the threats that are supposed to defend that are never entirely clear nor do they have the exposure to really be seen as a danger to humanity, it is only said that they are a risk more there is never a true demonstration of it, in fact it is even paradoxical that the protectors of humans are presented as a problem rather than as a solution.
La construcción de mundo es bastante floja puesto que el mismo se explora de forma muy escasa, simplemente se reduce a exponer a gente obsesionada con mantener el estatus pero sencillamente no se les da una razón válida para ello como por ejemplo: Proteger los linajes puros puesto que son su mejor arma contra las criaturas de la noche, evitar que una individua carente de maná ponga en riesgo su vida y la de otros debido a su falta de talento, entre otras, esas 2 razones que acabo de dar son mucho más interesantes que la estupidez de “Somos una alta sociedad y no tenemos que juntarnos con los plebeyos”. Por último están las amenazas que se supone deben defender que nunca quedan del todo claras ni tampoco tienen la exposición para que realmente se vean como un peligro para la humanidad, solo se dice que son un riesgo más nunca existe una verdadera demostración de ello, de hecho es hasta paradójico que los protectores de los humanos se presenten como un problema más que como una solución.
The plot is boring and contradicts, at first the idea is sold that Melida is a product of the infidelity of her mother so she has the contempt of the aristocrats having to find her own way to defend people without depending on her lineage, all this sounded interesting since it would consist of a girl trying to make a place among a higher class through her own merits doing easy to get attached to her, unfortunately sends all that garbage to then establish openly that her mother was not unfaithful and that if she shares the blood of her family, all her misfortunes were only bad luck.
La trama es aburrida y se contradice, en un primer momento se vende la idea de que Melida es producto de la infidelidad de su madre por lo que tiene el desprecio de los aristócratas debiendo buscar un camino propio para poder defender a la gente sin depender de su linaje, todo esto sonaba interesante puesto que consistiría en una chica tratando de hacerse un hueco entre una clase superior mediante sus propios méritos haciendo fácil el encariñarse de ella, desgraciadamente manda todo eso la basura para después establecer sin tapujos que su madre no fue infiel y que si comparte la sangre de su familia, todas sus desgrcias solo fueron mala suerte.
Leaving aside the fact that he mocks the viewer and regrets risky bets there is nothing else to offer, supposedly the nobles are extremely important but the only thing they are seen to do is cause disasters, the monsters are boring and lacking in presence, last but not least is the fact that the combats lack strategy or skill, it all comes down to having power and being the only thing that matters.
Dejando de lado el hecho de que se burle del espectador y de que se arrepienta de apuestas arriesgadas no hay nada más para ofrecer, supuestamente los nobles son sumamente importantes pero lo único que se les ve hacer es causar desastres, los monstruos son aburridos y carentes de presencia, por último pero no menos importante está el hecho de que los combates carecen de estrategia o habilidad, todo se reduce a tener poder y ser lo único que importe.
The characters are simply boring and forgettable, none is developed and the characterizations they present are very poor since they are simply ideal generic assholes lacking any kind of value, absolutely everyone feels like strangers so it is impossible to consider them as individuals and not simple cannon fodder that is set only to fill the stage. All without exception are treated as plot tools to advance the plot, Melida only suffers all kinds of abuse at first to later receive praise, it is assumed that she had a hard life for her lack of talent but this is shown very little and if she had been so brutal she should have made a dent in her psychologically speaking something that is not perceived at any time, just accept the glory and ready tragic past forgotten. Kuufa is a very powerful fucking stone, devoid of personality or expressions so he is a walking mannequin and no justification of the anime is acceptable to make such a bad character. The rest does not even deserve to be mentioned since seeing paint dry is more interesting than talking about them.
Los personajes son sencillamente aburridos y olvidables, ninguno es desarrollado y las caracterizaciones que presentan son muy pobres puesto que sencillamente son ideales pendejos genéricos carentes cualquier clase de valor, absolutamente todos se sienten como desconocidos por lo que es imposible considerarlos como individuos y no simple carne de cañón que esta puesta solo para rellenar el escenario. Todos sin excepción son tratados como herramientas argumentales para hacer avanzar la trama, Melida solo sufre toda clase de abusos en un primer momento para después recibir elogios, se supone que tuvo una vida dura por su carencia de talento pero de esto se muestra muy poco y de haber sido tan brutal debería haber hecho mella en ella psicológicamente hablando algo que no se percibe en ningún momento, solo acepta la gloría y listo pasado trágico olvidado. Kuufa es una jodida piedra muy poderosa, carente de personalidad o expresiones por lo que es un maniquí ambulante y ninguna justificación del anime es aceptable para hacer a tan mal personaje. El resto no merece siquiera ser mencionado puesto que ver secar pintura es más interesante que hablar de ellos.

Por último es necesario mencionar la relación de estos 2 que sinceramente es muy extraña, primero la plantea como una de mentor-aprendiz, después la establece como ama-sirviente, luego pasa a una amistad sincera para posteriormente terminar en algo romántico; esto que les estoy describiendo es una relación construida de manera fatal puesto que va variando según los caprichos del creador y la "evolución" de la misma es demasiado forzada y acelerada, todo sin mencionar el hecho de que es una niña de 13 años y él un adolescente de casi 18 por lo que hace que todo lo “romántico” que plantea se vuelve bastante degenerado.
Assassin's Pride is a bodrio that has too many flaws to consider it decent, it lacks a clear objective beyond the generic message of "I want to become stronger so that they recognize me" making it even more forgettable. It is worthy of 1.5 stars out of 7 due to its almost infinite shortcomings, its lack of originality and not setting an interesting goal.
Assassin's Pride es un bodrio que posee demasiados fallos como para considerarla decente, carece de un objetivo claro más allá del genérico mensaje de “Quiero volverme más fuerte para que me reconozcan” haciéndola aún más olvidable. Es merecedora de 1.5 estrellas de 7 debido a sus carencias casi infinitas, su falta de originalidad y a no establecer un objetivo interesante.
