[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] Old School
Welcome my dear fraternal travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, since yesterday the weather in my city has been cold and rainy, a completely excellent environment to watch movies, that is why I decided to see "Old School" a film that I knew absolutely nothing about but that anyway I wanted to give it a chance. Without further ado, get ready to enter a fraternity because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros fraternales del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, desde ayer el clima en mi ciudad ha estado frío y lluvioso, un ambiente completamente excelente para ver películas, es por ello que decidí ver “Old School” un filme del cual no sabía absolutamente nada pero que de todas formas tenía ganas de darle una oportunidad. Sin más que agregar, prepárense para ingresar a una fraternidad pues estamos por comenzar.
Old School was released in 2003, directed by Todd Phillips, produced by DreamWorks SKG and The Montecito Picture Company, and has a running time of 1 hour and 31 minutes. It is a comedy film, the story focuses on 3 friends who are in different sentimental situations: One discovered that his partner was unfaithful to him, the other has a family already consolidated with his wife and the last one has just married, despite all this, the 3 miss the madness linked to university, so as soon as the opportunity presents itself, they decide to return to those wild wanderings.
Old School fue estrenada en 2003, dirigida por Todd Phillips, producida por DreamWorks SKG y The Montecito Picture Company, cuenta con una duración de 1 hora y 31 minutos. Es una cinta de comedia, la historia se centra en 3 amigos los cuales se encuentran en situaciones sentimentales diversas: Uno descubrió que su pareja le era infiel, el otro tiene una familia ya consolidada con su esposa y el último acaba de contraer matrimonio, pese a todo esto, los 3 extrañan las locuras ligadas a la universidad, por lo que en lo que la oportunidad se presenta deciden regresar a esas andanzas salvajes.

The soundtrack does not play an important role at any time, being a comedy film, this is not a section that can be very useful, however, it has songs from the 80s that give a very good aura to the film.
La banda sonora no juega un papel importante en ningún momento, al ser una cinta de comedia, este no es un apartado que pueda ser muy útil, no obstante, tiene canciones de los 80 que le dan un aura muy buena al filme.
The construction of the world is also not interesting, this section is inconsequential due to the nature of the film as previously mentioned.
La construcción de mundo tampoco resulta interesante, este apartado resulta intrascendente por la naturaleza del filme como se mencionó previamente.
The plot is extremely funny and simple in equal parts, it only focuses on showing all kinds of absurd and stupid situations that are funny. Narratively it is basic, it is a film that is style over substance, its focus is on showing silly comedy constantly, you could say that it tries to give advice about relationships and how to move forward even if they end but it would be pretentious to think that this film had double intentions or a moderately deep message, however, its funny situations are entertaining enough to make it enjoyable and its duration is very enjoyable.
La trama es sumamente divertida y simple a partes iguales, la misma únicamente se centra en mostrar toda clase de situaciones absurdas y estúpidas que hacen gracia. Narrativamente es básica, es una cinta que es estilo sobre sustancia, su enfoque se centra en mostrar comedia tonta constantemente, se podría decir que se intenta dar un consejo sobre las relaciones y como hay que avanzar pese a que estas se terminen pero sería pretencioso pensar que dicha película tuviese dobles intenciones o un mensaje medianamente profundo, no obstante, sus situaciones graciosas son lo suficientemente entretenidas como para hacerla disfrutable y que su duración sea muy amena.
The characters are not a big deal, there is a bond of brotherhood between them that is cute and pleasant, apart from the above, there is not much that can be mentioned about it.
Los personajes no son la gran cosa, existe un lazo de hermandad entre estos que resulta lindo y agradable, aparte de lo anterior, no hay mucho que se pueda mencionar al respecto.
Old School es una película estúpida se mire por donde se mire, su objetivo es única y exclusivamente el de tener situaciones graciosas las cuales diviertan al espectador. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 2.5 estrellas de 7, simple, clara y concisa, solo será del agrado de aquellos que les guste ver toda clase de imbecilidades de forma consecutiva.
Old School es una película estúpida se mire por donde se mire, su objetivo es única y exclusivamente el de tener situaciones graciosas las cuales diviertan al espectador. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 2.5 estrellas de 7, simple, clara y concisa solo será del agrado de aquellos que les guste ver toda clase de imbecilidades de forma consecutiva.
