[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] PAtient Seven
Welcome my dear traveling patients of the internet and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, the other day I was struck by a movie with a dark and suspense theme, entitled "Patient Seven" which seemed curious because it took place in a psychiatric hospital. Without further ado, get ready for your appointment with the psychiatrist because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos pacientes viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, el otro día me llamó la atención una película con temática sombría y de suspenso, titulada "Patient Seven" la cual parecía curiosa por desarrollarse en un psiquiátrico. Sin más que agregar, prepárense para su cita con el psiquiatra pues estamos por comenzar.
Patient Seven was released in 2016, has several segments directed by different directors, produced by Terror Films, has a duration of 1 hour and 56 minutes. It is a horror and suspense film, the story focuses on Dr. Marcus, a prestigious and well-known psychiatrist, the latter selects 6 patients with serious conditions to study them and listen to the stories that led them to their mental decline, however, there will be one in particular who will have an accumulation of problems beyond what is expected.
Patient Seven fue estrenada en 2016, tiene diversos segmentos dirigidos por diferentes directores, producida por Terror Films, cuenta con una duración de 1 hora y 56 minutos. Es un filme de terror y suspenso, la historia se centra en el Dr. Marcus, un prestigioso y muy reconocido psiquiatra, este último selecciona a 6 pacientes con condiciones graves para estudiarlos y escuchar las historias que los llevaron a su declive mental, sin embargo, habrá uno en particular que tendrá un cúmulo de problemas más allá de lo esperado.

The soundtrack is inconsequential, despite being a very enriching resource for this type of film, in this film it does not have a relevant or interesting presence.
La banda sonora es intrascendente, pese a ser un recurso muy enriquecedor para este tipo de filmes, en esta cinta no tiene una presencia relevante ni interesante.
The construction of the world is poor but tries to look interesting, it is assumed that each of the patients has their own background that should be accompanied by an atmosphere according to their story, however, this does not happen and the film is limited to showing dark scenarios without any kind of distinctive element, in addition, it does not strive in any way to show even interesting camera angles.
La construcción del mundo es pobre pero intenta lucir interesante, se supone que cada uno de los pacientes tiene un trasfondo propio que debería estar acompañado con una ambientación acorde a su historia, no obstante, esto no ocurre y la cinta se limita a mostrar escenarios oscuros sin ninguna clase de elemento distintivo, además, no se esmera de ninguna forma por mostrar siquiera ángulos de cámara interesante.
The plot is completely disorganized and does not have a clear structure, as highlighted in the synopsis there were several directors who directed various segments of it, however, this is counterproductive because the integrity and good development of the film is sacrificed. There is nothing to highlight on a narrative level, from the start the film only feels like an accumulation of elements that have no relationship beyond the fact that the plot demands that they are related, its plot twists are very poor and predictable so they do not even have the shock factor on their side, in addition, Her suspense scenes are a joke in bad taste, all this nonsense makes her difficult to watch and absurd as she is.
La trama es completamente desorganizada y no tiene una estructura clara, como se destacó en la sinopsis hubo varios directores que dirigieron diversos segmentos de la misma, sin embargo, esto resulta contraproducente debido a que se sacrifica la integridad y buen desarrollo del filme. No hay nada que destacar a nivel narrativo, desde el vamos la cinta solo se siente como un cumulo de elementos que tienen nula relación más allá de que la trama exija que están relacionadas, sus giros argumentales son muy pobres y predecible por lo que ni siquiera tienen el factor shock de su lado, además, sus escenas de suspenso son un chiste de mal gusto, todo este sin sentido la hace difícil de ver y absurda como ella sola.
Nothing to highlight, they are all boring, flat and unfunny, they don't even serve as cannon fodder, they are pathetic at best.
Nada que destacar, todos son aburridos, planos y sin gracia, ni siquiera sirven como carne de cañón, son patéticos en el mejor de los casos.
Patient Seven has no reason to exist, it is tedious to watch and it does not have any element that makes it minimally interesting in one way or another. It is for all of the above that it deserves 1 star out of 7, except for some bloody scenes, there is nothing worth it about this mess, a total and absolute waste of time.
Patient Seven no tiene razón de ser, es tediosa de ver y no tiene ningún elemento que la haga mínimamente interesante de una u otra forma. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 1 estrella de 7, salvo algunas escenas sangrientas, no hay nada que valga la pena de este bodrio, una pérdida de tiempo total y absoluta.

A menos que sea una clase de experimento o algo de ese tipo, la obra debería ser coherente y mantener a las mismas personas produciendo el filme, para que la visión de la obra se mantenga.
No le veo mucho sentido a que lo hagan varias personas diferentes, una película así, al final, le faltaría sustancia.
