[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] The Expendables
Welcome my dear mercenary travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, if you are old followers you will remember that a while ago I spoke in a general way about all the films in the “The Expendables” saga, however, I felt like see the first installment of this and talk exclusively about it today. Without further ado, prepare to face the army of a country because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros mercenarios del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, si son seguidores antiguos recordarán que hace un tiempo hable de forma general sobre todas las películas de la saga “The Expendables” no obstante, sentí ganas de ver la primera entrega de esta y hablar exclusivamente de ella en el día de hoy. Sin más que agregar prepárense para enfrentarse al ejército de un país pues estamos por comenzar.
The Expendables was in 2010, directed by Sylvester Stallone, produced by Millennium Films and Nu Image, it has a duration of 1 hour and 43 minutes. It is an action film, the story focuses on a group of highly trained individuals who find themselves rescuing some civilians who were held captive by pirates. After completing that operation, they receive a new job offer that consists of eliminating a dictator of a small island, however, the problem with said assignment is that it is much more difficult than the average missions and has an unimaginable moral implication.
The Expendables fue en 2010, dirigida por Sylvester Stallone, producido por Millennium Films y Nu Image, cuenta con una duración de 1 hora y 43 minutos. Es un filme de acción, la historia se centra en un grupo de individuos altamente capacitados los cuales se encuentran rescatando a unos civiles que estaban cautivos por unos piratas, posterior al cumplimiento de esa operación reciben una nueva oferta de trabajo que consiste en eliminar a un dictador de una pequeña isla, sin embargo, el problema con dicha encomienda es que es mucho más difícil que las misiones promedio y tiene una implicación moral inimaginable.

The soundtrack is fine, it is not spectacular in any way but at least it fulfills its function of pleasantly accompanying the different scenes.
La banda sonora está bien, no es algo espectacular de ninguna forma pero por lo menos cumple con su función de acompañar de forma agradable a las diferentes escenas.
The same thing happens with this section as with the previous one, it is not extremely remarkable or anything similar, it meets the minimum because the film decides to focus on the unbridled action.
Con este apartado sucede lo mismo que con el anterior, no es sumamente destacable ni nada que se le asemeje, cumple con lo mínimo debido a que la cinta decide enfocarse en la acción desenfrenada.
The plot is simply wonderful, it is loaded with an insane amount of all kinds of violent scenes ranging from hand-to-hand confrontations to armed ones, this set of elements being what makes the film completely enjoyable due to the wonderful amount of action it contains. It is a film of style over substance, so its narrative is not the most complex in the world, which is why this “lack” is filled with an abundant amount of action. The duration is completely correct, it knows how to use its time excellently so that it gives it time to provide a good dose of extremely violent scenes and to develop its own story.
La trama es sencillamente maravillosa, la misma se encuentra cargada con una cantidad insana de toda clase de escenas violentas que van desde enfrentamientos cuerpo a cuerpo hasta armados, siendo ese conjunto de elementos los que hacen que el filme sea completamente disfrutable debido a la cantidad maravillosa de acción que contiene. Es una cinta de estilo sobre sustancia por lo que su narrativa no es la más compleja del mundo, es por ello que dicha “carencia” es rellenada con una cantidad abundante de acción. La duración es completamente acertada, sabe utilizar de forma excelente su tiempo a fin de que le dé tiempo a proporcionar una buena dosis de escenas sumamente violentas y de desarrollar su propia historia.
The characters are logically little worked on, despite this the feeling of brotherhood that exists between them is worked on in a good way and it is something that looks quite good, on the other hand, the fact that the protagonist has a brief doubt about whether he is worthy of being defended gives it a slight layer of complexity that suits it very well.
Los personajes son lógicamente poco trabajados, pese a ello se trabaja de buena forma el sentimiento de hermandad que hay entre ellos y es algo que queda bastante bien, por otro lado, el hecho de que el protagonista tenga una breve duda sobre que es merecedor de ser defendido hace que tenga una leve capa de complejidad que le queda muy bien.
The Expendables fulfills what it promises, from the start it makes it clear that it will be a film where shots, blood and all the violence imaginable will be highly present, with the rest of the sections taking a backseat. It is for all the above that it deserves 3.5 stars out of 7, if what you are looking for is a film that is dedicated purely and entirely to the action this is without a doubt a must see.
The Expendables cumple con lo que promete, desde el vamos deja claro que sera un filme en donde los disparos, la sangre y toda la violencia imaginable se encontrarán altamente presentes, siendo el resto de apartados pasados a un segundo plano. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3.5 estrellas de 7, si lo que buscas es una cinta que se dedique pura y enteramente a la acción esta es sin lugar a dudas una cita obligatoria.

wow aunque no soy de ver muchas películas de acción, me gustan algunas, se siente mucha adrenalina, y esta tiene buena pinta. Gracias por compartir, buena reseña amigo.
Si lo que buscas es adrenalina está es sin lugar a dudas tu cinta, vale la pena por lo menos verla al menos una vez.
