Welcome my dear crazy internet travelers and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, there are series and characters that have been on the big screen for years as well as on the small screen, The Addams Family is good proof of this but today we will focus on its daughter and in the series that she stars in called "Wednesday" that seeks to represent all that is gloomy and morbid that the little girl represents, adorned with hints of mystery that will intrigue both her and the viewer. Without further ado, get ready, we are about to be admitted to an unconventional school.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros locos del internet y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, existen series y personajes que llevan años tanto en la pantalla grande como en la chica, The Addams Family es buena prueba de ello pero hoy nos centraremos en su hija y en la serie que protagoniza llamada "Wednesday" que busca representar todo lo sombrío y mórbido que representa la pequeña chica adornada con pinceladas de misterio que plantearán una intriga tanto en ella como en el espectador. Sin más que agregar prepárense que estamos por ser admitidos en una escuela poco convencional.
Wednesday was released in 2022, based on the character created by Charles Addams, it was written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, directed by Tim Burton and produced by MGM Television, it has 8 episodes of approximately 50 minutes in length. It is a supernatural comedy series, it focuses on the daughter of the Addams family who, after being expelled from another school, her parents decide to send her to Nevermore High School where there will be other individuals as strange as her, this experience will be more interesting than expected. that she might have thought at first since she will have to learn to master her new psychic powers, face a contract killer, and, most difficult of all, relate to other people.
Wednesday fue estrenada en 2022, basado en el personaje creado por Charles Addams, fue escrita por Alfred Gough y Miles Millar, dirigida por Tim Burton y producida por MGM Television, cuenta con 8 episodios de aproximadamente 50 minutos de duración. Es una serie de comedia sobrenatural, se enfoca en la hija de la familia Addams la cual luego de ser expulsada de otra escuela sus padres deciden enviarla a la secundaria Nevermore en dónde habrá otros individuos tan extraños como ella, está experiencia será más interesante de lo que ella podría haber pensado en un primer momento puesto que tendrá que aprender a dominar sus nuevos poderes psíquicos, enfrentarse a un asesino a sueldo, y, lo más difícil de todo, relacionarse con otras personas.

The soundtrack seems very charming to me, it is dominated by instrumental music, being simply wonderful since it provides that gloomy tone that accompanies the protagonist and that suits the series very well.
La banda sonora me parece muy encantadora esta se encuentra dominada por música instrumental siendo sencillamente maravilloso puesto que aporta ese tono lúgubre que acompaña a la protagonista y que le queda muy bien a la serie.
The construction of the world is well achieved, it succeeds in representing the different fantasy things in a good way to give a quite pleasant setting that transmits that magical air that the series has. Outside of the above, it also focuses on developing a kind of rivalry / hatred between normal people and monsters, this is not something that is explored in a way but it is still a nice touch for the series. Finally, there are several strange things in the background which subtly provide information, to this is added the number of peculiar and gloomy scenarios that give the series a very good setting.
La construcción de mundo está bien lograda, acierta al representar de buena forma las diferentes cosas de fantasía para dar una ambientación bastante agradable que transmite ese aire mágico que tiene la serie. Fuera de lo anterior también se enfoca en desarrollar una especie de rivalidad/odio entre las personas normales y los monstruos, esto no es algo que se explore de sobre manera pero igual es un buen toque para la serie. Por último están varias cosas extrañas de fondo las cuales van aportando de forma sútil información, a esto se le suma el sin número de escenarios peculiares y tétricos que le dan una muy buena ambientación a la serie.
The plot presents an initial enigma which is being explored throughout the series and which is well posed to the point that the viewer is intrigued by the resolution that will be reached as a result of the different clues that are given. In turn, the series feeds this mystery with different possible alternatives that sound quite logical, since some are clearly seen as a bluff and others really seem to be viable, but there are doubts as well, this powerfully enriches the narrative. All that disconcerting tension as a result of the intrigue has some moments of relaxation with the different adventures that the protagonist is having or with the morbid comedy that is very well achieved. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the series makes good use of the twists, this is almost mandatory since we are talking about a mystery series, the bottom line is that in general all these twists feel well implemented, something that it achieves by far.
La trama presenta un enigma inicial el cual va siendo explorado a lo largo de la serie y el cual se encuentra bien planteado al punto de que el espectador siente intriga por la resolución a la que se llegará producto de las diferentes pistas que se van dando, a su vez, la serie va alimentando este misterio con diferentes posibles alternativas que suenan bastante lógicas siendo que algunas se ven claramente como un farol y otras realmente parecen ser viables pero de igual forma existen dudas, esto enriquece poderosamente la narrativa. Toda esa tensión desconcertante producto de la intriga tiene algunos momentos de relajación con las diferentes aventuras que va teniendo la protagonista o con comedia morbosa que está muy bien lograda. Por último cabe mencionar que la serie hace buen uso de los giros de tuerca, esto es casi obligatorio puesto que hablamos de una serie de misterio, el meollo del asunto es que en general todos estos giros se sienten bien implementados algo que logra con creces.
Wednesday feels like a good leading lady, at first I thought she would be a Mary Sue but luckily this is not the case and that makes the character feel much more likable, her unsympathetic and gothic tone is a very nice touch that works great with the character being more than pleasant the peculiar way in which he relates to the rest of the characters. Speaking of the rest of the characters, they have a good dose of presence in the series, the fact that many have their own problems and concerns is intelligent, although these feel quite banal, it is still a success since the intention of these inconveniences is the to give them something of relevance that makes them interesting, despite the above, there are still some that do not have enough focus, although taking into account the few chapters that the series has at the moment, not much can be demanded.
Wednesday se siente como una buena protagonista, en un primer momento pensé que sería una Mary Sue pero afortunadamente este no es el caso y eso hace que el personaje se sienta mucho más agradable, su tono antipático y gótico es un muy buen toque que va excelente con el personaje siendo más que agradable la forma tan peculiar de como se relaciona con el resto de personajes. Hablando del resto de personajes estos tienen una buena dosis de presencia en la serie, es inteligente el hecho de que muchos tengan sus propios problemas e inquietudes, si bien estás se sienten bastante banales sigue siendo un acierto puesto que la intención de estos inconvenientes es la de darles algo de relevancia que los haga interesantes, pese a lo anterior aún hay algunos que no tienen suficiente foco aunque tomando en cuenta los pocos capítulos que tiene de momento la serie no se puede exigir mucho.
Wednesday is a good example of how to give a twist to a classic character to conceive a new perspective and a very interesting story with different twists that give the series a very nice character, this delightful touch extends to its mystery which hand with their characters are well achieved. It is for all of the above that it deserves 4 stars out of 7, this series has had a good start and I am curious to see how the following seasons develop.
Wednesday es un buen ejemplo de cómo darle un giro a un personaje clásico para concebit una nueva perspectiva y una historia bastante interesante con diferentes giros que le dan un carácter muy agradable a la serie, este toque deleitoso se extiende a su misterio el cual de la mano con sus personajes se encuentran bien logrados. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4 estrellas de 7, esta serie ha tenido un buen inicio y me da curiosidad ver cómo se desarrollan las siguientes temporadas.
