On October 20, Ariel Winograd's new film (El robo del Siglo, Hoy se arregla el Mundo) based on the book The Noblex Manager, based on true events, tells the ins and outs of a very risky marketing strategy to sell TV sets.
The promotion went something like this: "If Argentina doesn't qualify for the 2018 World Cup, we'll give you back the money for the TV, all the money."

El 20 de octubre se estreno la nueva película de Ariel Winograd (El robo del Siglo, Hoy se arregla el Mundo) basada el libro El Gerente de Noblex, basada en hechos reales, cuenta los pormenores de una muy arriesgada estrategia de marketing para vender televisores.

On October 20, the movie that tells the true story of the famous "Noblex Manager", starring Leonardo Sbaraglia, Carla Peterson, Luis Luque, Cecilia Dopaso, Nacho Saralegui, Martin Piroyansky, was released on "Paramount+" under the name of "El Gerente".

El pasado 20 de octubre estrenó en "Paramount+" la película que cuenta la historia real del famoso "Gerente de Noblex", protagonizada por Leonardo Sbaraglia, Carla Peterson, Luis Luque, Cecilia Dopaso, Nacho Saralegui, Martin Piroyansky y que lleva el nombre de "El Gerente".

The film follows the story of Alvaro, a marketing manager of a national technology company that seemed to be on the bench in sales, being only a shadow of Samsung, Philips and other multinationals. Separated, father of a teenage son with whom he can barely maintain a dialogue, bored in a job without challenges and a body that begins to suffer the consequences, his life has entered a long standby from which he will have to wake up when Manganaro and Federica (the owner of the company and the new star general manager), demand him to innovate his mediocre sales campaigns.

La cinta sigue la historia de Álvaro, un gerente de marketing de una empresa nacional de tecnología que parecía estar en el banco de suplente en ventas, siendo solo la sombra de lo que son Samsung, Philips y demás multinacionales. Separado, padre de un hijo adolescente con quien apenas puede mantener un diálogo, aburrido en un trabajo sin desafíos y un cuerpo que empieza a sufrir las consecuencias, su vida ha entrado en un largo stand by del que tendrá que despertar cuando Manganaro y Federica (el dueño de la empresa y la nueva gerente general estrella), le exijan innovar sus mediocres campañas de venta.

The strategy could be seen as a gamble, totally risky and irresponsible, but the truth is that fortune favors the bold, and this case was no exception, leading Noblex to break all sales records in its category.

La estrategia podría verse como un manotazo de ahogado, totalmente arriesgada e irresponsable, pero lo cierto es que la fortuna favorece a los audaces, y este caso no fue la excepción, llevando a Noblex a romper todo récord de ventas en su categoría.

Ariel Winograd brings us a fresh comedy, very well cared for in scenes and dialogues, an admirable work, with an impeccable Leonardo Sbaraglia who continues to endure the mistreatment of Martin Piroyansky, as we saw in Hoy Se Arregla El Mundo.
