Review: Miracle on 34th Street

Good evening, this time after not posting in this community for a while I decided to do it now after seeing several posts that inspired me to take my hobby for movies and series, so I wanted to take advantage of these dates that fill me with joy such as Christmas. Without a doubt Christmas is one of the holidays that I like the most because we can take the time to get away from our daily monotony and have a good time with the people we love the most, I don't know about you but one of the traditions that my family has at this time of the year is to sit all together and watch Christmas movies, and I think that one worth mentioning and that as time goes by we always remember is "Miracle on 34th Street" this movie is definitely one of my favorites, as it conveys the Christmas spirit very well and makes us have faith that sometimes fantastic things can happen in our lives.

Miracle on 34th Street, transports us to the life of little Susan and her mother Dorey, she has taught her six year old daughter to have a realistic life without expecting great things to happen in her life. On the other hand, Bryan is the opposite of Dorey so he makes the little 6 year old girl interested in Christmas (specifically in the belief that Santa exists), so she can have that faith that her mother doesn't have, while all these events happen, our Santa Cris arrives, who claiming to be the real Santa! He will change the life of each one of them, turning them into a family, however, this will not be easy because he will face the worldly barriers and the belief (by adults) that Santa DOES NOT EXIST! Even so, he manages to have a job of what he is: Santa, and he will demonstrate that with small actions he can change the lives of many people, specifically the children who visit him to tell them what they want for Christmas.

One of the scenes that moves me the most and seems to me a COMPLETELY ACCURATE INCLUSION, is when a deaf mute girl arrives to "talk to Santa" and the mother of this girl immediately tells Cris, that she just wants to see him and it is not necessary for him to speak, to which our good Santa begins to talk to the girl and even sing in sign language, thus promoting inclusion for this type of people who have this condition.

Watching this movie one more time, I realized that this is the 1994 version, and it is a remake of the original movie that was released in 1947. To be very honest I have not seen the 1947 original but this one is by far my favorite. From the performances to the message of family togetherness and reviving the Christmas spirit along with the old traditions of sharing these dates with your loved ones is my favorite Christmas movie and worthy of bringing to this contest that I am sure will be very well appreciated by people who still have that Christmas spirit and family togetherness.

In summary, it is a pretty old movie, even with a remake, even so I think it deserves to be one of the best Christmas movies, for promoting themes of inclusion, value to the family structure and above all the fact of never losing hope that great things can happen in your life if you have a little faith and confidence in yourself, this is why it becomes my favorite Christmas movie and worthy of being in this contest, this movie can be found on the Disney platform.

Buenas noches, en esta oportunidad luego de estar sin publicar en esta comunidad desde hace un tiempo me animé hacerlo ahora luego de ver varios posts que me inspiraron a tomar mi Hobbie por las películas y series, asi mismo quise aprovechar estas fechas que me llenan de alegría como son las navidades. Sin duda la navidad es una de las fiestas que mas me gustan pues podemos darnos el tiempo de apartar un poco nuestra monotonía diaria y pasarla bien en familia con los seres que mas amamos, no se ustedes pero una de las tradiciones que tiene mi familia en estas fechas es sentarnos todos juntos y ver películas navideñas, y creo que una digna de mencionar y que al pasar el tiempo siempre recordamos es “Milagro en la calle 34” esta película sin duda es una de mis favoritas, ya que transmite muy bien el espíritu navideño y nos hace tener fe en que a veces cosas fantásticas pueden ocurrir en nuestra vida.

Milagro en la calle 34, nos transporta a la vida de la pequeña Susan y su madre Dorey, ella le ha enseñado a su hija de tan solo seis años de edad a tener una vida realista y sin esperar que grandes cosas sucedan en su vida. Por otra parte, Bryan es todo lo opuesto a Dorey asi que hace que la pequeña de 6 años se interese un poco en la navidad (concretamente en la creencia de que Santa existe), para que pueda tener esa fe que no tiene su mama, mientras todos estos eventos pasan llega nuestro Santa Cris, el cual diciendo ser el ¡Verdadero Santa! Hará cambiar la vida de cada uno de ellos, volviéndolos una familia, sin embargo, esto no será facil ya que se enfrentará con las barreras mundanas y la creencia (por parte de los adultos) que Santa ¡NO EXISTE! Aun asi consigue tener un empleo de lo que él es: Santa, y demostrara que con pequeñas acciones pueden cambiar la vida de muchas personas, específicamente de los niños que van visitarlo para decirles lo que quieren de navidad.

Una de las escenas que mas me conmueve y me parece UNA INCLUSION COMPLETAMENTE ACERTADA, es cuando llega una niña sorda muda para “hablar con Santa” y la madre de esta niña inmediatamente le dice a Cris, que ella solo quiere verlo y no es necesario que él hable, a lo que nuestro buen Santa empieza hablar con la niña e incluso a cantar en lenguaje de señas, promoviendo asi la inclusión para este tipo de personas que tienen esta condición.

Al ver esta película una vez más, me di cuenta que esta versión es la de 1994, y es un remake de la película original que fue estrenada en 1947. Siéndoles muy sinceros no he visto la original de 1947 pero esta sin duda es por mucho mi preferida. Desde las actuaciones hasta el mensaje de unión familiar y reviviendo el espíritu navideño junto a las viejas tradiciones de compartir estas fechas con tus seres mas queridos es mi película favorita de navidad y digna de traer a este concurso que estoy seguro será muy bien apreciada por las personas que aún conservan ese espíritu navideño y unión familiar.

En resumen, es una película bastante antigua, incluso con Remake aun asi pienso que merece estar como una de las mejores películas de navidad, por promover temas de inclusión, valor hacia la estructura de la familia y sobre todo el hecho de nunca perder la esperanza que grandes cosas pueden ocurrir en tu vida si tienes un poco de fe y confianza en ti mismo, es pro esto que se vuelve mi película favorita de navidad y digna de estar en este concurso, esta película la puedes encontrar en la plataforma de Disney.
