Love that movie. It felt like 2 movies however. The one with the Punisher and the other with the Hulk. I like that is not just the same origin story over and over like they did with Batman for example.

yes it did felt like two movies because Peter had its own things to deal with MJ and NED but then on top of that because you had Punisher, Hulk and Jean those three had their own good amount of screen time, you are right, they basically maturing the Peter / Spiderman character, doesnt look like a child anymore
