Here's our last All American Futurity photo for today with Apocalyptical Jess posing with his trophy for winning the $3-million race at Ruidoso Downs. From left is owner Bill Robbins, trainer Blane Wood and Blane's son, Trey Wood. Blane's father, the late Leo Wood, won the 1979 All American Futurity with Pie In the Sky. This marked the first time in history that a father and son have both trained the winner of the American Quarter Horse racing's richest and most iconic event.
