The Saw series from part 7 onward was on a severely downward trend, and was even starting to see what was at the bottom of the drain. Each successive installment caused people, instead of being curious, to start just waiting for the porn torure and for an effective finale, which never came.
The last part or Spiral, which was supposed to be a bit of a spinoff and a bit of a new part turned out to be one of the worst parts.
Then, despite the devastating failures, the producers come to the conclusion let's make another part ;D

And so we get Saw X, which stands out strongly in many ways.
As far as the script is concerned, this is the most interestingly driven story since part 2 ( part 1 is brilliant, part 2 is very good) so you already know that I liked this part as far as the script is concerned.
The film's location is placed between part one right after the famous bathroom and before part two.
John is terminally ill with brain cancer and doesn't have much life left, he would like to leave his past connected with Jigsaw and tries to make a will, then he learns about a mysterious doctor who, together with her team, can cure very advanced cancers.
He decides to take a risk and go to Mexico knows that his time is slipping away by the day so he asks for an accelerated treatment.
The first half of the film is interesting... the drama of a sick person who is doomed to die and tries at all costs to find that miracle cure for his ailment.
Jigsaw is a warm calm elderly man, where death fans the juz. The treatment goes very fast, even too fast so Kramer decides to find the institute after some time and thanks the treatment because he feels good. Then he discovers the brutal truth.
Each of the characters who is kidnapped and has his task also has a lot on his conscience and the trap is made to reveal his evil side.
The second half of the film is what fans of the series are waiting for, that is, evil people kidnapped and put to the test so that they can understand their deed survive or die the choice is theirs.
The film also features Amanda, who, after the first part, becomes Jigsaw's right hand and helps him with traps but also helps him during his illness.
While watching the film we sympathize with John because he had faith, but when it was taken away from him he had to go back to being Jigsaw.
As for the traps, they are well thought out, constructed so that the protagonist has a chance to escape from it if he completes the task.
The film also has a strong effect on nostalgia we get a huge number of larger or smaller references to all series. The famous 3 minutes for each mission, Billy on the bike or the most famous melody at the end of the film.
The Saw series has always been famous for its plot twists and here we also get two plot twists one related to the main bad guy of this movie and the other related to the release of one of the characters through a trap.
Of course the film has a lot of flaws, but it is the most coherent of all the films since part 7( I enjoyed watching it until part 6, then everything started to fall apart).
One of the glaring flaws of the film not related to the plot are the actors, of course the same as always, but after nearly 15 years you can see the imprint of the tooth of time on them nevertheless they play characters who appear after part 1 so relatively young( I often complain about computer performances, but here it would fit a slight rejuvenation of actors).
The finale is satisfying, if a little corny, but in the credits we get a brief appearance of a well-liked character for the series and I found it more engaging than the finale with the setting sun.
If you liked part 1 of Saw and part 2 then it's worth watching this one because this one is such a bit of a mishmash of sorts, with many cool elements, it doesn't try to be more than it is and for that I appreciate it.
I rate this part finally high because at 7/10 it is worth it :)

Seria Saw od części 7 miała tendencje mocno spadkowa, a wręcz zaczynała sprawdzać co się znajduje na samym dnie ścieków. Każda kolejna cześć powodowała, ze ludzie zamiast być zaciekawieni zaczynali tylko czekać na porn torure oraz na efektywny finał, który nigdy nie przychodził.
Ostatnia cześć czyli Spirala, która miała być trochę spinoffem, a trochę nowa częścią okazała się jedna z najgorszych części.
Wtedy mimo druzgocących porażek producenci dochodzą do wniosku zróbmy kolejna cześć ;D
zrodlo.
I tak dostajemy Saw X, który mocno wyróżnia się pod wieloma względami.
Jeśli chodzi o scenariusz to jest to najciekawiej poprowadzona historia od części 2 ( cześć 1 jest genialna, cześć 2 bardzo dobra) wiec już wiecie, ze ta cześć mi się podobała jeśli chodzi o scenariusz.
Miejsce filmu jest umiejscowione między częścią pierwsza zaraz po słynnej łazience, a przed częścią druga.
John jest śmiertelnie chory na raka mozgu i nie zostało mu wiele życia, chciałby porzucić swoją przeszłość związana z Jigsawem i stara się zrobić testament, wtedy dowiaduje się o tajemniczej lekarce, która wraz ze swoim zespołem potrafi wyleczyć bardzo zaawansowane raki.
Postanawia zaryzykować i udać się do Meksyku wie ze jego czas z dnia na dzień ulatnia się wiec prosi o przyspieszenie kuracji.
Pierwsza połowa filmu to ciekawy… dramat osoby chorej, która jest skazana na smierć i stara się za wszelka cenę znaleźć ten cudowny lek na swoją przypadłość.
Jigsaw jest ciepłym spokojnym starszym, gdzie smierć wacha juz. Leczenie przebiega bardzo szybko, nawet za szybko wiec Kramer postanawia po jakimś czasie odnaleźć instytut i podziękować za leczenie bo czuje się dobrze. Wtedy odkrywa brutalna prawdę.
Każda z postaci która zostaje porwana i ma swoje zadanie ma tez wiele na sumieniu i pułapka jest tak zrobiona by odkryć jego zła stronę.
Druga połowa filmu to na co czekają fani serii czyli złe osoby porwane i poddane próbie by mogły zrozumieć swój czyn przeżyć bądź zginąć wybór należy do nich.
W filmie pojawia się tez Amanda, która po części pierwszej staje się prawa ręka Jigsawa i pomaga mu w pułapkach ale i tez pomaga w czasie choroby.
W czasie oglądania filmu współczujemy Johnowi bo miał wiarę, kiedy jednak została mu zabrana musiał wrócić do bycia Jigsawem.
Co do pułapek są one przemyślane, skonstruowane tak, by bohater miał szanse z niej uciec jeśli wykona zadanie.
Film tez mocno działa na nostalgie dostajemy ogromna ilosc większych bądź mniejszych nawiązań do wszystkich serii. Słynne 3 minuty na każda misje, Billy na rowerku czy najsłynniejsza melodia pod koniec filmu.
Seria Saw zawsze słynęła z plot twistu i tutaj tez dostajemy dwa plot twisty jeden związany z głównym złym tego filmu, a drugi z uwolnieniem jedno z bohaterów poprzez pułapkę.
Oczywiście film ma sporo błędów, ale jest on najbardziej spójny ze wszystkich filmów od części 7( do 6 oglądało mi się to przyjemnie, później wszystko zaczęło się sypać).
Jedna z rażących wad filmu nie związanych z fabuła są aktorzy, oczywiście ci sami co zawsze jednak po blisko 15 latach widać odciśnięty ząb czasu na nich mimo to grają postacie, które pojawiają się po części 1 wiec stosunkowo młodych( często narzekam na wykonania komputerowe jednak tutaj akurat by pasowały lekkie odmłodzenia aktorów)
Finał jest satysfakcjonujący, choć trochę ckliwy, jednak w napisach końcowych dostajemy krótki występ lubianej postaci dla serii i uważam ze był bardziej angażujący niż finał z zachodzącym słońcem.
Jeśli lubiliście cześć 1 Saw i druga to warto obejrzeć ta bo ta jest takim trochę swoistym misz maszem, z wieloma fajnymi elementami, nie stara być czym więcej niż jest i za to doceniam.
Oceniam ta cześć wreszcie wysoko bo na 7/10 warto :)
