Euphoria!

The winter was long and even longer which means we were all glued to our TV-screens for the longest of times. I think more than once I had sighed and just put everything away (I really do not like having TV as a main hobby honestly) and was looking for something nice and interesting to binge again.

At some point I got the tip from a friend to watch the series 'Euphoria' because it would be shocking and really something else to watch. Naturally what you always do is hit the good old IMBD first that just looked really promising.

'What...another high school based series. Haven't you watched enough Stranger Things, 13 reasons why or Riverdale now to be done with all of this'

Oke fair enough, maybe I do like to be stuck in the genre for a little bit. But 'Euphoria' is again a whole different story. This is about a girl Rue and her high school friends who are going through the perks of high school. Only oin this series, they just find to be all a little bit more extreme that the average series. Rue has a serious addiction for whatever drug she can get her hands on, her trans friend Jules likes to hook up with older gay guys, her other friend has a secret Only Fans account as a financial dominatrix. And all of this just makes the serie intruiging enough to surely keep watching.

So what is the best thing about the series then. It is often described as 'raw' and that is not a lie honestly. With Rue snorting anything she can find as a teenager, the high school locking room showing more d&cks on screen than the US would ever allow (remember Mark Sloan from Grey's anatomy? But then here just hanging with his d&ck out visually on screen? Never expected that one)

Honestly, the series is shocking. And I am super surprised that all of this is allowed to be screened in general. But apart from this the story is good, and the vibe just makes you want to see more of it.

So if you have the option, just watch this one, but maybe leave the kids at home while you are doing so. You won't be disappointed!
