🎬 Movie Review: KO – A Solid French Action Film for Action Lovers

I think the title tells at least half the contents of this post. It is a french action film :) If you love action and you like french films, you will like it :)

K.O. stands for Knock Out. And this is a film that really knocks the viewer out some times during its plot.

If you’re into martial arts and action films, you should consider KO movie for a movie night with friends.

KO was released in 2025, I just saw it in Netflix and I admit that it is one of the films that I enjoyed watching (not fell asleep). Will it be your next movie night pick? Read on and let me know what you think!

At the moment its IMDb rating is 5.8/10 - which is in the limits of the films that I do see
(Even though, this time I saw the rating after watching the movie)

The title may be minimalistic, but the film itself is far from it. I would say it is packed with adrenaline, fast plot turns, and some intense fight scenes. Right from the start, OK delivers an entertaining movie ride.

Even though I used to practice martial arts, this is not my favorite type of movie. However I did find this one interesting right from the start.

The movie starts in the ring, and what happens there between two MMA fighters, is the main theme of the movie.

While some action scenes stretched a little longer than I would have preferred, they were still well-executed and fun to watch. The movie rarely slows down — the plot moves quickly, and there’s little room for boredom.

The actors do a great job in their roles, making the characters both believable and engaging. The story proceeded ok, without having great voids, and there was suspense and some interesting happenings.

Having said that, please note that there are some brutal scenes so maybe its better for children to refrain from watching it. There is some shooting, some gang wars and of course among all that, you should realize that they speak french during the movie (of course)

I am only saying this because some may prefer action movies in English (not me), so you should take this under consideration if you fall under this case.

I would put a solid 6.2 rate for this movie and I’d recommend KO to anyone looking for something exciting and entertaining. Definitely not for viewers who prefer deep dramas or complex thrillers, but it’s a solid action movie that respects the genre.
