Story
After the founder's death, his widow defies expectations by taking over the funeral home against the right-hand man's plans, facing competition, internal conflicts and a #metoo case that threatens the company's legacy.
I saw that this was a series, but I said I would try it out. Episodes are short, of 30 minutes and they are easy to watch. There are 3 seasons already, but as I saw, season 4 is coming out in August (so it is going well!)
I admit that I was only able to see two episodes, so this post is both a review of these two episodes and also a questions to you. Have you seen it? Let me know your opinion below!
The scenery is set in a family-run funeral home. The writers and directors have a unique talent of turning death into comedy, but without feeling disrespectful. Instead, it focuses on the people left behind—their ambitions, it shows some awkward situations.
The first episodes is all about the chaos that follows the death of the company's founder.
What I Loved
The writing is clever, the direction genius. (so far at least)
Every character is special, unique and their interactions are very entertaining.
The dialogue feels natural, and the pacing is not slow or quick. To me, it seems just fine.
I see that the rating of this series is quite high, at 7.5/10 - and I think that my own rating after I finish the series, will not be so different

This passed through my eyes several times, but for some reason didn't watch it. Still it is in my to do/watch list and as I see it has quite a good rating maybe I should give it a try...sooner.
Let me know your thoughts if you start watching it.
I read after I wrote this review, that the creators of this series are the same as the Machos Alpha (not sure if you have seen it, but for me it was one of the series that got me really laughing a lot
!BEER
I wish I had the time and attention for a movie. The internet changed my life and stole my time!
Oh I know what you mean!
We need to find ways to earn more life and less digital life!
This one really landed: I meant to watch something else yesterday, but., it's the kind of post that makes the feed better.
Hi @katerinaramm,
Thanks for the recommendation. I've been watching this to go to sleep at night (on my iPad). It is hilarious. And also benign. What a mix of characters. I had to stop myself from laughing out loud because my husband was fast asleep next to me. I'm going to be sad when I've watched all the shows. Great way to go to sleep :))
Hahaha I know what you mean! I watch this every night before I go to sleep, and it makes my days ending in the most funny way : ) I am at the 3rd season now, and in a few weeks 4th season is coming up : )
I think that we really need laughter and good mood in our lives, I also love all the characters playing in this, each one is unique in their own way. I am soooo jealous of Damaso's confidence, I wish I had a fraction of that :)
Oh my heavens...he is such a horrible person. They do give us his background so we understand why he doesn't relate to others. No father. Tormented by peers. Growing up without a sense of belonging. But he is pathologically selfish. Makes for a great comic foil.
I'm half way through season 3. All of it watched at bed time. Thank you!
