Have you been in a position where everything seems to be working out fine and it's all good news? Where this is the case, we tend to doubt ourselves by waiting for the other shoe to drop. If it does not drop, we conclude something is not right and set about finding something 'wrong'. In the process of doing this, we mess things up!

I relaxed during the weekend with some movies, one of which is Trust (2021). I know the title of the movie is literal and makes one want to dismiss it. For a movie buff, you would think it's simple and direct but when you watch it, you will not see the plot twists coming.

Trust (2021) is an American romantic drama film about a couple who had been married for years, desiring to have children. They were high school sweethearts and their marriage was fine not until the wife opened up an art gallery and hired a handsome artist/painter for her art exhibition.

This artist was known for having affairs with married women and painting them naked. You can imagine how the husband must have felt, a handsome artist whose specialty is erotic painting, working closely with his wife. Whenever he was around the wife, the artist would blatantly flirt with her. Then the marriage problems began. The husband became insecure.

The husband was a popular face on TV and it seemed the ladies had a crush on him. The wife on her part had her doubts as to his fidelity. This is a classic case of mistrust and where doubt exists in a marriage, trouble will definitely rear it's head.

The wife thought she could handle her husband's popularity and took some extreme steps to protect her marriage. The whole thing blew up in her face.

Do you want to know what the steps are? I don't want to give away anymore details. You will just have to watch this interesting one hour, thirty minutes movie to find out whether or not the lovely couple pulled through.

The couple was played by Victoria Justice and Matthew Daddario. Katherine McNamara and Lucien Laviscount also starred in the film. The narration takes the viewer from the present to the future with a lot of flashbacks in between to explain the decisions the couple took to protect their marriage.
