Carter, a non-stop action packed movie - Stream it or Skip it?

Just think of a badass dude who woke up in the middle of nowhere somewhere as the target of many intelligence agencies from different countries. He's got just one thing in mind (Kill or be killed) as he follows the weird voice that gives him instructions through a chip implanted in his ear.

This is a non-stop action-packed movie. It gives you the vibe of playing a video game where all you have to do is kill, kill, reload, boost your health and go on more rampage. Haha.

Insane stuff!

It's all about the action in this film. What we got from the very beginning to the last part of the film was fights and more fights. They also had a very high level of brutality in this with some insane stunts. This project was surely a physically demanding one for the lead character.

My Thoughts on this one;

Movies in particular are not up my alley. They hardly get into my watchlist because I like to soak myself into the storyline of whatever I'm watching. That's how I get to enjoy the twists and turns that come with the dynamics of the characters. Something like that is only possible in series.

I wouldn't expect that depth in a full movie of 120 minutes runtime. This explains why I'm of the opinion that the storyline in this movie is very faint. It's almost insignificant to the action. I'm pretty sure that most of the people that watched this decided to explore it because of the action sequence and the stunts.

I mean, even the trailer released by Netflix was all about the non-stop action.

The good thing though is that they tried to fit North & South Korea's relationship into this story. Whenever these two entities appear in a storyline, it usually sends a signal of intense war, politics and betrayal.

The only attraction to this movie is the action, but even that felt so-so... Unrealistic? Awkward? Off?... Haha. I'm looking for the right word to use here.

Don't get this twisted. I love intense action and I even love when people fly in a sword fighting scene, but this particular movie lacked a human element in it. It was as if I was watching robots wrecking each other to shreds.

For example, the opening fighting sequence had the main character in a face-off with about a hundred gangsters and each of them had axe, blade or gun and they were attacking with intent to kill. The fight was also in an enclosed space and our lead still got to wack all of them without getting a scratch.

That's some superhuman sheit from a human. Haha.

Stream it or Skip it?

This is a dicey ask, but I will make it very simple. If you enjoy watching action movies even when it feels like it's all about the fight with no solid storyline, you can go ahead and enjoy this.

But, if you want to see something realistic where every little body movement is consciously meant to be part of a grand storyline, you might want to skip this. Haha.
