I've waited so long to complete this drama and now that I just finished watching the last episode, I got to realise that I will miss this masterpiece of a Kdrama.

Jeeezz, I want more!

I'm surely not the only one captivated by the brilliance displayed in this drama. Netizens are also impressed and the drama got a really good 8.7 rating in Asianwiki and a 7.3 rating in IMBD.

This drama was a joy to watch and I'm incredibly excited to talk about it in this post. Whenever I write about movies/tv shows, it gives me a feeling of reliving the adorable moments in the drama and I love that feeling so much.

Don't worry. For the benefit of anyone that would like to add this to their watchlist, I won't be leaking any spoilers. Haha.

What's so special about this Kdrama?

- The Plot

This tells the story of what marriage means to high-class people in a dog-eat-dog society where people want to be in the top 1% of society.

Highly reputable and high-net-worth individuals apply for exclusive membership with REX, a matchmaking agency that connects clients to wealthiest bachelors, spinsters, widows or widowers... As far as you are ready to pay the price.

Rex doesn't care about your motive or your past. Everyone had their purpose for signing up with Rex, but Rex is there for business. As far as the agency gets a good deal out of each matchmaking, they can set up a date between a golddigger and an unsuspecting CEO.

- The Dynamics of the theme

This isn't some third-rated cheap romance or some flower boy/girl kinda series. I'm very impressed with every theme that was explored in this series. Love, lust, betrayal, scandals, business, family pressure, murder and politics.

Every one of these was nicely written and well executed in the 8 episodes of this Drama. I particularly love how there is an alignment in all these dynamic themes which helped in building the overall plot of the story. There was no dull moment.

- The characterisation.

Big ups to all the characters. I've seen the previous project of more than 90% of all the characters so, it was very easy to know who is who from the moment they got introduced into the drama.

I wouldn't change anything about these characters. Every one of them nailed their role to the tee especially Jung Eugene who played the major villain in this story.

Her character is the type that brings the hidden lustful desires of others to the spotlight. These desires are one of the tools she uses to hit the Achilles heel of her targets before wrecking their finance. Haha. Eugene nailed her badass role in a very convincing way. To the point where you will hate the character.

The OST is a top banger.

Making a good tv show is one thing. Adding a very good soundtrack to it is another important thing. I love to download interesting OSTs after watching a good TV show and I'm glad that the song used in this show is a top banger.

Check it out with lyrics and tell me what you think about the song.

...I've waited all my life to take this PRICE...

An expensive price that was. Haha. I love this song.

My Overall Remark

I believe I've said enough to prove that I enjoyed these TV shows, so this will be more about the things that could have been done in a better way.

Firstly, I think they could have done better with the significance of the male characters in the show. All the male characters, despite the big reputation they have and their position in society, suddenly become clueless like vegetables when they are up against the female counterparts.

All the actions and scenes that hit the spots were involving the ladies. The ladies also did a good job of slapping each other whenever an opportunity comes up. Haha.

Secondly, there are so many stones yet to be touched in this. Too many characters and some parts of their stories were not explored. I understand that they had so many things to do within 8 episodes and that's also why the last episode felt rushed. In fact, it was obviously rushed.

The good news about this is that the last couple of scenes in the last episode left us with some cliffhangers. It's like saying;

Don't worry, a sequel is on the way.

Damn Netflix and these half stories. I hope they give approval for a sequel 😏.

I give this a solid 8.5/10 rating.

Hahaha... Many people think Korean dramas are like that and they may not be wrong. Haha. The ones that people usually pick to watch are the ones I call 'third-rated childish romance'. Haha

But that's far from the real deal in Kdrama. I've been watching kdrama since 2009. Haha. I know how to find the juicy ones 😋. !PIZZA

Haha, i hate childish romance and mostly of korean are just on romance - wholesome, cringe couple (huh don't want to offend someone ).

Hehe that's been so long to explore the right thing.
