"Rush Hour? But that's an old movie!"

Lol... I usually have that same reaction if someone tells me he's watching something as recent as Squid Game or Money Heist. I mean, those two are not even 'old' compared to the first Rush Hour which was made two decades ago.

I don't predominantly enjoy rewatching any movie or TV show regardless of how good the project is. My watchlist is usually packed and there are so many stuff to watch. However, I recently needed to feel that nostalgia that comes from checking out a classic movie that punctuated my childhood.

This wasn't an easy pick. Trying to think back to the good old days and pick a movie to watch made me realise that my childhood was blessed with a lot of quality movies and shows. After going back and forth, I decided to opt for the Rush Hour trilogy.

Below is a highlight of each part and it's release date;

  • Rush Hour 1 (1998)

  • Rush Hour 2 (2001)

  • Rush Hour 3 (2007)

This show is a good example of what an action-comedy should be. It's a story of two detectives, one from America and the other from China, who had to work together on a kidnap for Ransom case. The LAPD officer was played by Chris Tucker who I always refer to as Michael Jackson's best friend. While the Chinese detective was played by our own Jackie Chan.

They both didn't start their collaborative investigation as 'teammates'. It's fairly obvious that they couldn't stand each other's guts and style of work. However, they both decided to find a mutual ground and work together to save the kidnapped little girl.

What y'all will be seeing in this movie is a team-up between the Fastest hands in the East and the biggest mouth in the West. Haha. If you know anything about Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, I'm sure you can already imagine who has the fastest hands and the one that has the biggest mouth. Lol.

While on that, check out the trailer for the first Rush Hour which was released in 1988.

Nostalgia! Nostalgia! Nostalgia!

I rewatched the first part of this movie last night and I will be watching the second and third part of the trilogy within the week. This Rush Hour franchise is pure Gold and it will surely have your ribs in stitches. The movie is iconic.

Now, tell me this isn't the first time you have heard of Rush Hour. Haha.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma.

Now you're making me want to go watch all 3 parts again. I have watched them many years ago and in my opinion I believe it's still a very good movie to see these days, I don't know what people have against it be an old movie, doesn't mean it isn't good

Yeah. The show is quite old but the quality it has is really outstanding. I'm watching it and enjoying all the scenes. Haha. The movie is really awesome.
