My Actifit Report Card: June 19 2025 - Mork From Ork
Today I had a little free time so I scanned Tubi to see what light comedy I could find. I ended up watching a few episodes of Mork and Mindy. This was on from 1978 to 1982. Mork was played by famous comedian Robin Williams. He came from the planet Ork to study Earthlings.
I had seen this show before but thought it was kind of dumb. However, the Episodes I watched today had me laughing hard several times!
Mork on Happy Days
It seems that Mork first showed up on a popular show from the 70s called Happy Days. I found a clip on YouTube of Mork meeting The Fronz who was basically the star of Happy Days. Mork is interested in Earthly dating so Fonz sets him up with Laverne. She was played by Penny Marshall who was the daughter of the show's creator. She ended up in her own Happy Days spinoff show called Laverne and Shirley.
Did you ever see any episodes of Happy Days or Laverne and Shirley or Mork and Mindy? Did you find them funny, or dumb? Or both :D
Here's the clip of Mork meeting Fonzie and Laverne from a YouTube video! It's quite wacky!

My Activity
on this Thursday was some daily activity as usual. At night I took a fairly long walk even though it was hot as heck out there. That movement got me over 10K for today's actifit number.
Then I lifted the dumbbells for a few sets of curls and squats and shrugs. I put up the chin-up bar in my doorway recently so I managed 6 pullups, which is crap but it's a start.
Then I did 25 pushups. I've been doing 30 and aim for 32 but today I wasn't feeling it and failed at 25. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I watched all three, but saw more of Happy Days and of Laverne and Shirley.
At the time when they aired, I didn't think they were silly. I was a kid into late teenager. Mork and Mindy really aired during a time when I didn't see a whole lot of TV.
I can only imagine they get funnier with age (meaning ours-not theirs), plus if you're like me and remember them when they aired, it brings back a simpler time.
Thanks again!
Excellent job with your 10466 @actifit steps for the day. Take care!
Happy days... I haven't seen many because if was from the previous generation, but for that times it was a great show I think... Fronz is super famous (fun fact he's called fonzie here), but I never seen Mork
It’s great to see how you’re enjoying nostalgic shows like Mork and Mindy, and finding humor in them even after all these years!
Your day sounds active and inspiring. Those small steps like pull-ups and pushups does go a long way . I don't miss those reps too as I do them everyday . Keep at it, progress is progress!
