SCREAM 5 (MOVIE REVIEW)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

This would be the first time I'm reviewing a movie, and also the first time I will be writing in this community, so please pardon me if I default in any way. The movie I will be reviewing in this post is a 2022 American slasher movie. If you are a lover of horror, action and mystery and you haven't watched the movie, then you'd better start adding it to your wishlist. Don't take my word for it, you can check out the trailer after this review.

I don't think I would have watched this movie on my own if my friend did not decide he wanted to watch it while I was busy writing a piece I wanted to post. I wasn't even paying attention at first because I felt the movie would be boring, only to remember I was writing something after the movie had finished 😂. I so much enjoyed the suspense in the plot, I was hitching to see what was going to happen at every point in the movie. But then again, I had issues with the horror itself probably because it wasn't all realistic as I would have had it. The graphics were on point, but the deaths weren't all what I expected. But I think that's the whole point of horror right.

Imagine getting to know someone whom you have built a relationship with online for a period of time, fixed a date, got all dressed up, and then you get a call from your date saying he missed his way. At first what anyone would think is that the guy is probably new, at least it was what I thought too, and I guess what the lady also thought that made her come out of the restaurant she was in to give him direction to where she was only to discover late that it was all a plan to trap and kill her. The killer's motive however was quite shocking, he was just a college student who hated his professor for failing him.

What drew my attention was how the killer was killed by another killer who planned the whole murder with him and then other forms of murder started unfolding as the movie went on. The killers started out as a fraternity, at least it was what I thought in the beginning only to be blown away at the end by the true identity of the Major villain. All efforts though was targeted at the protagonist (Sam) and her sister (Tara) who had been victims of sexual abuse in past. Their journey to finding the mysterious killer almost claimed their lives and that of their friends. But in the end they were able to unravel the truth of a more depleting, death threatening situation.

I would personally rate the movie 7/10 because of how engaging the storyline was. The suspense was the killer for me and every other thing was just normal. You can check it out also and if you like drop your thoughts in the comments.

This movie was not good, I prefer the first two or three installments but this last one was too much. Some sagas and sequels should have a point at which to stop, I don't know why they keep inventing nonsense plots when the story was closed or ended well in a certain movie. I liked your review, greetings, and welcome to the #MoviesAndTVShows community, I hope to read more of your reviews soon.

I haven't watched the previous installments so I can't say I know your reason for not liking it. How ever I will see if I can watch them and then judge for myself

That would be an excellent review, I would love to know your opinion on those first installments, cheers!

I personally didn't like this movie. It is simply an attempt to rehash the previous installments. After so many sequels I think they should innovate something.

I think you are not alone here. I still need to watch the previous installments before I can fully conclude
