Call Merlin!

If I were to choose a fictional superhero to rescue me from the kidnappers’ den, I would choose Merlin. Why? Read on.

*I believe in the existence of voodoo and magic. I have seen where, after a voodoo charm was applied on someone’s body, a gun was shot at the person and the bullet did not penetrate. I have also seen where a cutlass was used to strike the body, yet the body was not cut. When I see movie stars with these powers—where weapons cannot harm them—and it is not because of any scientific method like wearing bulletproof vests or hidden irons on the character, I fall in love with them. This is because they can do anything and go to any length on the battlefield to kill and rescue someone. Another feature I like so much is the magical ability to control things, and this is exactly what is seen in Merlin.

Now, imagine I got kidnapped and Merlin was the one to rescue me. The tactics would be simple. He wouldn’t need to fight the kidnappers or stage a shootout with them. All he would need to do is send a spider to the spot where I had been handcuffed or chained. The spider would either cut off the ropes or unlock the handcuffs quietly without the kidnappers noticing. Then, Merlin would command a magical smoke filled with sleeping gas to flow into the building. This smoke would make everyone fall asleep—I mean everyone in the place, from the main door down to the room where I was being kept.

Before then, I would have tied a wrapper around my nose to prevent myself from inhaling the smoky air. And how would I know that a dangerous smoke was coming? By then, the spider would have crawled to me and handed me a handkerchief as a signal. Their deddddy!😂

After all the kidnappers had fallen asleep, I would walk out majestically from the den without making any noise to meet Merlin, who would be sitting outside on top of a mango tree, controlling everything with his magic.

That’s it—the rescue would be as simple as anything, all thanks to magic. He wouldn’t need to fight, use a gun, or wield a sword. He wouldn’t even need to make noise that could cause alarm in the neighborhood. It would all be smooth and silent.

To make it even scarier, the sleeping gas sent into the building would not just make them sleep—it would have the ability to kill. That way, the kidnappers would sleep and never wake up again. With that, no one would be left alive to trace what happened or even think of taking revenge.

However, if we had plans to make the rescue a noisy one—or let’s say, after I had come out and we decided to create some drama—Merlin would set the building on fire while we walked away from the scene with our shoulders raised high to the sky.

So that’s it—a smooth operation it would be if I had Merlin to come and rescue me from the kidnappers’ den.
