Die as a human or live as a monster (Sweet Home 2020)
I lost interest in sci-fi movies a long time ago, especially with the idea that supernatural creatures can exist through technology and still be unkillable even when torn to pieces or burnt to ashes. The whole concept looks fake and unrelated to the kind of supernatural elements I know. Marvel movies are leading in this direction.

Sweet Home is almost like that, but in this series, things are handled more on a natural plus supernatural basis compared to computerized creations. What do I mean?
Okay, this series has to do with supernatural beings through a disease, an infection, or a curse, well, I am not very sure yet because I just concluded season one. It has three seasons, and even if I knew, I would not want to spoil it for you.

In a big block that houses many apartments, the residents wake up one day to meet chaos in the world, and they become trapped in the building out of fear of being consumed by what is happening outside. The residents had lived in the building with little or no idea about their neighbours, but this fear and fight for survival bring them together. However, what is terrorising the world is already within them because the infection is in the air and can get to anyone. The main symptom is excessive nose bleeding, and once it starts, the infected person turns into a monster of any form, hunting humans to kill them. However, not all of them die when attacked; those who survive turn into monsters and later return to their human form after a brief knock-off period.
Cha Hyun-Su is one of those who do not die, and they are referred to as special infectees. He is among the residents of the block, but when the others find out that he is a demon, they want to throw him out. When they realise that he transforms, returns to human form, and does not die, they can no longer throw him out. Instead, he becomes their rescuer and messenger, the one they send out to get survival items.
The movie is not just the normal fight for survival in a chaotic world filled with demons; it shows how people who were not friends can come together, team up, and become a family. This movie reminds me a lot of The Walking Dead family vibe. The deaths of friends in this series are very emotional.

The fight scenes are very crazy, with massive destruction sequences. When Cha Hyun-Su turns into a half-monster for the first time, with one hand transformed into a demonic wing, the strikes he delivers with the wing are extremely destructive.
Before I drop my pen, the theme tune is so ear-tingling. I love it so much!
I just started watching season two, and it seems to be deviating a bit from the main focus on survival. I hope it does not get spoiled with too many character introductions and side stories.
I will give season one an 8/10.
