Hits from MAMA G

Greetings, music lovers!🙌

Passing through YouTube in the morning, I came across one of the greatest songs from the Nollywood industry. A set of songs that got everyone (Africa at large) dancing and singing with many hails and applauses to the brain behind the work.

Oh yeah, I was sensible when Mama G's album was released; my dad bought the CD that was enclosed in a well-designed cover paper.
Those days that a track lasts for 10mins. A whole 10mins😂

Seeing the music video on YouTube brought back a lot of memories, and I just wish it's possible to go back to the past to feel again what we felt those days.

Mama G is one of the veteran Nollywood actors who really blessed our childhood days with her "witchcraft and wicked" character, to the extent that people (we) concluded that she's naturally wicked in real life.
We saw in this album that the person we used to see as the queen of witches is the sweetest and most playful person.

In the spirit of #threetunestuesday, I'm going to be sharing three of her hits from that album—my favourites among them.

This Kind of Woman: Mama G ft. Charles Awurum

The composure of this track is so sweet; the lyrics blend very well with the cool highlife beat.

Charles Awurum's lyrics won my heart; they're so arranged with his twisted voice. With the way Charles behaves in movies, no one will believe that he could put up such a sweet line.

There's something I found out when watching this music video: I saw that Zubby Michael(Nollywood actor) was featured as well. Yes, he's the one seated with Mama G and Tonto Dike around the round table, enjoying themselves.

The lesson in this music is very clear:
Life has no part two, and it's good that you enjoy it at your best because you only live once.

Make we Jolly: Mama G ft. Charles Awurum

This is the hit track—the one that will uncontrollably pull you up to start dancing at the sound of its beat.

The beat of this song was taken from VIP's Ahomka Womu, Ghanaian musicians. Although it was a rebranded beat, it came out more fine and sweet.

The lyrics were well woven with the beat, from the beginning to the end, and the part that amazed me most was when Charles Awurum spiced up everything with his rap version. Superb!

The dancers didn't fail to dance accordingly—a very local group dance step.
Tonto Dike added more effizy to her dance style.
Actually, it's in this video that we all concluded that Tonto Dike is Mama G's daughter.

Iyo Ngwo Ngwo by Mama G and Charles Awurum

This is the track with the sweetest and funniest lyrics.
Charles Awurum did a perfect job of carving out such a rhythm from the typical Nigerian situation.
