The Furious

As usual, after seeing countless hype about this movie on social media, I decided to give it a shot, and I was well entertained. I still stand on my ground that Asians give the best martial arts in movies. Just leave it for them!

This movie, just like I love to watch straightforward movies, is very straightforward with not many 'confusing' actors and story, and the fight scenes are top-notch, an endless fight that made me glued to my phone and forget about working for the day.

Wang Wei, a mute who works as a carpenter to earn a living, one day, took his daughter, Rainy, to the salon to get their hair cut. Along the way, Rainy got provoked and decided to step out. She sees a "tattered" boy of her age who pleads with her to help him rescue an accident victim. She followed and fell into the trap, and she got kidnapped and thrown into a truck. Wang Wei was fortunate to rush to the scene and suspected the moving truck, and that was it; a very intense fight broke out. He fought so hard to rescue his daughter from the truck, but he missed it. He rushed to the police to report, but he found out that the police were corrupt. He took it upon himself to trace and crack down on the human trafficking group. He met a journalist along the line, and they became partners in the mission.

The actors did excellently for their characters. The mute Chinese guy acted so well that it appears that he's mute in real life. In movies like this, the script usually tries to force in some funny characters or moments to make it fun, but this one is different; there was no forced character.

The fight scenes are the most catchy moments of the movie. Every fight scene appears very entertaining, even though they were endless.

I would give it a 10/10.
