The Walking Dead: One more episode please

Greetings everyone!

One of the genres of movies I love so much is horror, especially when it involves apocalyptic zombies. I love seeing flesh tearing and the undead dominating the living. I've watched so many of them, and some weeks back, I decided to delve into one of the oldest of them all, which is THE WALKING DEAD which was premiered in 2010.
I had snubbed watching this several times because I heard it's a long TV show with many series, and that's because I'm very lazy with movies. But because of the hype I got from reviews, I decided to give it a shot.

Unlike many of these movies where one needs to watch up to three episodes to grasp what the movie is all about and where it's heading, the first scene of the first episode caught my eyes and kept them glued to the screen.

The Plot:

Ever imagined being in a house and not coming out for a few days, and the day you decide to come out, you meet a world overrun by walking dead people? That's exactly what happened to Rick Grimes after he was in a coma for months. He came out and couldn't find any living souls in the city, and all he could see and run away from were dead people, very tattered and hunting for live flesh to feed on.

"What happened to the world?" The question he kept asking but couldn't get an answer.

His son and wife were nowhere to be found, but he was very sure that they were not eaten by the WALKERS. So he embarked on a journey to find them, and along the way, he met the team that became his family. The quest for survival in a dead world went on.
Many hurdles were crossed to the extent of them killing each other just to survive like;

Rick killing his best friend, Shane, just to survive because Shane attacked him.

Andrea had to shoot her dearest sister when she turned into a walker.

Carl had to shoot his mother when she gave birth and slumped off because he didn't want her to turn into a walker.

Henshel's leg was cut off with axe when he was bitten and that was the only way to keep him alive to prevent him from turning.

Critiques:

Oh yeah, it's a TV show that comes out episode by episode, but I think the episodes are just too short. Most of them didn't last up to 45 minutes, and you know how hungry it is for someone to keep watching only to be served a very short clip. Although, that's the fun of it, especially with the high suspense; it's just too short.

Rating:
I'm currently watching the show, and I'm at season three at the time of writing this, which I know there are other seasons still rolling out. The ones I've watched have been so magnetic and satisfying to me; I can't remember the last time I watched a series that got me wanting more, even skipping sleep to have more of it. I'm giving this an 8/10. The remaining two points are for the parts I haven't watched, and I think they should be able to cover up.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves flesh-tearing movies with many adventurous actions.

Thanks for reading.

Hahaha, I love this movie so much that words alone couldn't describe just how much. I have seen all complete seasons and I must say it's a must watch for everyone. Well, maybe everyone who loves apocalyptic + zombie movies.

Thank you for sharing.

TWD is a great series worth watching although towards the end gets a bit slow, just this year there were 3 more spin off expanding more the story now of the individuals after the original series, two were good and one so so but it's a great never ending story ✌️

Quite a lot of popular movies out there that I haven't tried out. One of it is this walking dead you pick here actually. Hoping one day I will give the movie a try

This is a no no for me. I don't like apocalyptic or cannibalistic movies at all. The horror movies I can endure are vampire, werewolf or witches movies because I nlknow those stuff ain't real.

You don't know better things.
Zombie movies are eye catchy and appear so real.

Go and start watching, you're going to enjoy the fun😎
