¡Hola Hola Comunidad! Como bien les conté hace unos días, el lunes aproveché que cancelaron una de mis clases y me escapé a ver la nueva película de los Juegos del Hambre 🥺🥺, debo admitir que aunque fuí y soy fan de éste mundo distópico, nunca llegué a ir al cine a ver algunas de las películas de la trilogía original, así que podrán imaginar mi nivel de emoción por ir a ver ésta película, tanto que llevaba meses esperando su estreno y aunque por ciertos inconvenientes parecía que no iba a poder ir a verla pronto, todo resultó caer por su propio peso y logré ir a verla en sus días de estreno 🥺, así que obviamente no podía perder la oportunidad de traerles mi reseña de ésta película, trataré de no dar spoiler, pero si aún no la ves entonces te recomiendo mejor no leer mi reseña 🤣🤣 solo por si acaso.
Hello Hello Community! As I told you a few days ago, on Monday I took advantage that one of my classes was cancelled and I escaped to see the new Hunger Games movie 🥺🥺, I must admit that although I was and am a fan of this dystopian world, I never got to go to the cinema to see some of the films of the original trilogy, so you can imagine my level of excitement to go see this movie, so much so that I had been waiting for months for its release and although due to some inconveniences it seemed that I wasn't going to be able to go see it soon, everything turned out to fall by its own weight and I managed to go see it on its release days 🥺, so obviously I couldn't miss the opportunity to bring you my review of this movie, I will try not to give spoilers, but if you still haven't seen it then I recommend you not to read my review 🤣🤣 just in case.
Ésta película fue estrenada el pasado jueves 16 de Noviembre y es la adaptación del libro del mismo nombre de la autora Suzanne Collins, ésta historia es una precuela de los hechos ocurridos en la línea temporal de la saga de películas de Los Juegos del Hambre, aquí tenemos como protagonista principal a Coriolanus Snow, quién sería el futuro presidente Snow (sí, el señor que torturaba niños), sin embargo aquí nos remontamos a varías décadas atrás a un joven Coriolanus que recién está saliendo de la academia, y cuya situación económica es completamente diferente a la que se ve en la época de Katniss. Nos encontramos aquí ante los décimos juegos del hambre, y para ésta edición en función de hacer más atractivos los juegos para la gente del Capitolio, los mentores serán los estudiantes de la Academia y justamente a nuestro protagonista Corio, le asignan la chica del distrito 12, Lucy Gray Baird.
This movie was released last Thursday 16th of November and is the adaptation of the book of the same name by author Suzanne Collins, this story is a prequel to the events that happened in the timeline of The Hunger Games movie saga, here we have as main protagonist Coriolanus Snow, who would be the future President Snow (yes, the man who tortured children), however here we go back several decades to a young Coriolanus who is just coming out of the academy, and whose economic situation is completely different from the one seen in Katniss' time. We are here at the tenth Hunger Games, and for this edition, in order to make the games more attractive to the people of the Capitol, the mentors will be the students of the Academy, and our protagonist, Corio, is assigned the girl from District 12, Lucy Gray Baird.
Que maravilloso es regresar al mundo de los juegos del hambre, de verdad que es como conectar con mi versión adolescente, y volver a disfrutar de éstas increíbles películas que definitivamente no decepcionan nunca. Debo iniciar diciendo que yo no he leído el libro, y ésta fue una decisión intencional, cuando anunciaron la película o más bien cuando vi el tráiler hace meses atrás, surgió en mí la interrogante de sí leía o no el libro como preparación para ver la película, pero honestamente quería disfrutar del contenido visual y sabía que sí leía el libro entonces pasaría toda la película pensando en los cambios o la fidelidad de la adaptación, si es verdad que conozco ciertos detalles del libro gracias a la cantidad de tik tok que he visto acerca del mismo 🤣, pero de igual forma ésta será una reseña completamente enfocada en la película, ya cuando salga de vacaciones leeré el libro y quizás me aventure en la comunidad de libros con alguna reseña 🤭🤭. Con esto claro, el primer punto que debo resaltar de ésta historia es obviamente su apartado visual, como he dicho las películas de los juegos del hambre no decepcionan y ésta no fue la excepción, la calidad de la imagen, de los efectos y de la paleta de colores, es una cosa impresionante y que debe ser aplaudida, recuerdo que hay una escena en concreto durante los juegos en donde puedo decir con certeza que yo me sentí dentro de la misma viviendo el movimiento que se estaba generando, y esto se debió completamente al cuidado que tuvieron de los detalles visuales 💕.
How wonderful it is to go back to the world of the hunger games, it really is like connecting with my teenage version, and enjoying again these incredible movies that definitely never disappoint. I must start by saying that I haven't read the book, and this was an intentional decision, when they announced the movie or rather when I saw the trailer months ago, the question arose in me whether or not to read the book in preparation for seeing the movie, but honestly I wanted to enjoy the visual content and I knew that if I read the book then I would spend the whole movie thinking about the changes or the faithfulness of the adaptation, yes it's true that I know certain details of the book thanks to the amount of tik tok I've seen about it 🤣, but still this will be a review completely focused on the movie, and when I go on holiday I'll read the book and maybe venture into the book community with a review 🤭🤭. With this clear, the first point that I must highlight of this story is obviously its visual section, as I said the hunger games movies do not disappoint and this was no exception, the quality of the image, the effects and the colour palette, is an impressive thing and should be applauded, I remember that there is a particular scene during the games where I can say with certainty that I felt inside it living the movement that was being generated, and this was completely due to the care they took of the visual details 💕.
Si analizamos el nombre de la historia, el término “Balada” en parte nos indica algo de cómo será la trama 🤣, y es que tenemos a una protagonista que es la cantante de una banda, por lo que podemos deducir que el soundtrack de la historia también será algo memorable 😌, además conocemos el origen y el contexto de la icónica canción de el Árbol del Ahorcado, canción que es compuesta (y espero esto no sea spoiler) por Lucy Gray, y que nos hace entender la importancia de ésta melodía en los sucesos de la época de Katniss, se entiende porqué es justamente ésta canción el símbolo de la rebelión. Pero hablando de los protagonistas, empecemos con el principal, el joven Coriolanus es ambicioso y tiene ésta sed de gloria y de grandeza, eso se nota desde el primer momento, pero ésto no explica su forma de ser a futuro, y es que al inicio de la película nos muestran a un chico no dígamos que noble, pero al menos que aún no estaba corrompido, sé que en comparación al libro aquí nos suavizan un poco a éste personaje, y creo que eso hace que empatices mucho con él, pero lo que me parece más impresionante es todo el desarrollo que logras ver en él, ya en el final hay un momento justo en el que logras ver por completo el cruce entre el joven Corio y el futuro presidente Snow, y eso solo se puede lograr con una increíble actuación porque es difícil llegar a ver, sin la narración de los pensamientos, esos cambios o esas transiciones en la personalidad del personaje, a fuerza de sólo la expresión del rostro se logra precisar ese momento justo en el que un personaje trasciende, así que aplaudo también la magnífica actuación de quien representó a nuestro protagonista 👏🏻.
If we analyse the name of the story, the term "Ballad" partly tells us something of how the plot will be 🤣, and we have a protagonist who is the singer of a band, so we can deduce that the soundtrack of the story will also be something memorable 😌, we also know the origin and context of the iconic song of the Hanging Tree, song that is composed (and I hope this is not a spoiler) by Lucy Gray, and that makes us understand the importance of this melody in the events of the time of Katniss, it is understood why this song is precisely the symbol of the rebellion. But speaking of the main characters, let's start with the main one, the young Coriolanus is ambitious and has this thirst for glory and greatness, this is noticeable from the first moment, but this does not explain his way of being in the future, and it is that at the beginning of the film we are shown a boy who is not noble, let's not say that he is noble, but at least that he is not yet Coriolanus, I know that in comparison to the book here they soften this character a bit, and I think that makes you empathize with him a lot, but what I find most impressive is all the development that you get to see in him, already in the end there is a moment in which you manage to see completely the crossing between the young Corio and the future president Snow, and that can only be achieved with an incredible performance because it is difficult to see, without the narration of the thoughts, those changes or those transitions in the personality of the character, by force of only the expression of the face is achieved to specify that moment just in which a character transcends, so I also applaud the magnificent performance of who represented our protagonist 👏🏻.
Ahora con Lucy Gray, tengo opiniones encontradas con respecto a su personaje, porque yo no empatice con ella 🤷🏻♀️, es más ni siquiera me cayó bien, y yo entiendo que el protagonista es Corio, que es su historia y que por lo tanto nos debemos centrar un poco más en él que en el resto, pero siento que se pierde un poco la conexión que puedes llegar a tener con la protagonista en éste caso, porque no la siento ni tan relevante ni tan impactante, de hecho fue más el tiempo en el que me estresó su actitud que el tiempo en el que no, incluso he visto muchos videos en donde comparan a éste personaje con Katniss y siento que quizás la Lucy del libro sea comparable, pero la de la película no o al menos a mí parecer, Katniss es una protagonista con mucho impacto y desde el primer momento sabes que será alguien relevante, con Lucy yo no sentí eso, evidentemente es alguien importante en la historia pero creo que le faltó más desarrollo a su personaje. Igualmente siento que le faltó más desarrollo a su relación amorosa con Corio, porque se me hizo que fue muy rápido su enamoramiento 🤣🤣, entiendo que ella lo salvó y luego él hizo hasta lo imposible por salvarla a ella (aunque aquí hay ambición de parte de él, bo se crean), pero aún así me faltó conexión, quizás esto fue hecho con la intención de que el público notara que por parte de Corio había un poco de posesividad (porque entiendo que así se ve en el libro), pero al menos yo lo sentí como falta de conexión 🤷🏻♀️. Y yo si creo que Corio se enamoró de Lucy, lo siento pero recuerden que yo soy su amiga romántica empedernida 🤣🤣, y al final le rompieron el corazón.
Now with Lucy Gray, I have mixed opinions about her character, because I didn't empathize with her 🤷🏻♀️, I didn't even like her, and I understand that the main character is Corio, that it's his story and therefore we should focus a little more on him than on the rest, but I feel that the connection that you can have with the main character in this case is lost a little, because I don't feel her as relevant or as impacting, in fact it was more the time when I was stressed by her attitude than the time when I wasn't, even I have seen many videos where they compare this character with Katniss and I feel that maybe the Lucy of the book is comparable, but not the one of the film, at least in my opinion, Katniss is a protagonist with a lot of impact and from the first moment you know she will be someone relevant, with Lucy I didn't feel that, obviously she is someone important in the story but I think she lacked more development to her character. I also feel that her love relationship with Corio lacked more development, because I felt that their falling in love was too fast 🤣🤣, I understand that she saved him and then he did the impossible to save her, but I still felt that there was a lack of connection, maybe this was done with the intention that the audience would notice that there was a bit of possessiveness on Corio's part (because I understand that's how it comes across in the book), but at least I felt it as a lack of connection 🤷🏻♀️. And I do think Corio fell in love with Lucy, sorry but remember I'm her hardcore romantic friend 🤣🤣, and she got her heart broken in the end.
Hablando rápidamente de algunos personajes, Sejanus fue otro que me estresó más de lo que debía, pero siento que faltó desarrollar su historia, porque no entiendo cómo es que alguien de un distrito llegó a ser tan influyente en el Capitolio, o no sé si fue que yo entendí mal, pero alrededor de él me quedaron muchas dudas y creo que esas dudas hacen que no haya conectado con su personaje, igual no sé si esto se muestra en el libro, es decir si hay mas explicación en torno a Sejanus, su familia, su pasado y su actual situación económica en el Capitolio, pero si en dado caso sí la hay, siento que eso pudo haberse incluído al menos resumidamente en la película porque sí deja brechas en la historia 🤷🏻♀️. La dra Gaul, que pedazo de personaje tan retorcido y bien construido 🤣🤣, el origen del villano que conocemos en Los Juegos del Hambre en parte se debe a esa sra, de verdad que no hace falta mucha explicación para saber que es ella la verdadera mente maestra detrás de los juegos, aunque propiamente ella no fue quien los creó, sí ha sido la encargada de ir construyendo esa idea tan retorcida que vemos en la época de Katniss, porque sí, entiendo que las ideas han sido de Snow y él ha estado muy involucrado en todo el proceso de lo que han sido los juegos en el futuro, pero cuando hablo de que es ella la mente detrás de todo eso hago referencia a su influencia y tutela sobre Snow, ella conoce el potencial que él tiene y lo lleva al punto en que él comienza a ver el mundo como ella lo ve, aparte es la creadora de los mutos, o sea la sra está loca 🤣🤣, pero me parece un personaje con una excelente construcción y una excelente actuación.
Speaking quickly about some characters, Sejanus was another one who stressed me more than he should have, but I feel that his story lacked development, because I don't understand how someone from a district became so influential in the Capitol, or I don't know if it was that I misunderstood, but I had many doubts about him and I think that those doubts made me not connect with his character, I don't know if this is shown in the book, that is to say if there is more explanation about Sejanus, his family, his past and his current economic situation in the Capitol, but if there is, I feel that this could have been included at least briefly in the film because it does leave gaps in the story 🤷🏻♀️. Dr Gaul, what a twisted and well constructed character 🤣🤣, the origin of the villain we know in The Hunger Games is partly due to that lady, it really doesn't take much explanation to know that she is the real mastermind behind the games, although she wasn't the one who created them, she has been in charge of building that twisted idea that we see in Katniss' time, because yes, she is, I understand that the ideas have been Snow's and he has been very involved in the whole process of what the games have been in the future, but when I say that she is the mind behind it all I refer to her influence and tutelage over Snow, she knows the potential that he has and takes him to the point where he begins to see the world as she sees it, besides she is the creator of the mutos, that is, she is crazy 🤣🤣, but I think she is a character with an excellent construction and an excellent performance.
Finalmente llegamos al desenlace, que pedazo de final tan bien hecho, y no me refiero a cuando Snow está en el bosque disparando, me refiero a lo último, el jóven Coriolanus Snow convertido en quién vimos en la época de Katniss, la transición de Corio a Snow, y sé que suena raro pero creo que los que vimos la película sabemos de qué hablo, Tigris de hecho es quien nos indica éste cambio (que por cierto, Tigris es mi personaje favorito y eso que no aparece demasiado), y es éste punto el que te indica todo el desarrollo que tuvo el personaje desde la primera escena hasta la última, es un cambio tal que hasta su postura y apariencia cambia radicalmente, y obviamente no había otra forma de cerrar que con una puesta del Capitolio, Snow vestido de un rojo oscuro (que algunos lo perciben como un indicativo de las muertes que ahora lo acompañan), la frase y finalmente el logo de la película. ¿Hay una forma de hacer el final más épico? Creo que no 🤣🤣, no diré cual frase es con la que se cierra, pero los fans sabrán y si no pues al menos no será spoiler 🤣🤣.
Finally we get to the denouement, what a well done ending, and I don't mean when Snow is in the forest shooting, I mean the last one, the young Coriolanus Snow becoming who we saw in Katniss' time, the transition from Corio to Snow, and I know it sounds weird but I think those who saw the film know what I'm talking about, Tigris in fact is the one who shows us this change (by the way, Tigris is my favourite character and he doesn't appear too much), and it's this point that shows you all the development that the character had from the first scene to the last, it's such a change that even his posture and appearance changes radically, and obviously there was no other way to close it than with a setting of the Capitol, Snow dressed in a dark red (which some perceive as an indication of the deaths that now accompany him), the phrase and finally the logo of the film. Is there a way to make the ending more epic? I think not 🤣🤣, I won't say which phrase it closes with, but fans will know and if not then at least it won't be spoiler 🤣🤣.

Siempre fui al cine a ver los juegos del Hambre. Quiero ver ésta. Me tiene con unas ganas mortales.
Lo cierto es que es aractivo saber todo el origen de la historia y el por qué de la estructura de poder en el Capitolio.
Yo sigo super interesada en muchos aspectos de la historia del Capitolio, desde que ví la primera película de Los Juegos del Hambre me dejó con muchísima curiosidad, y ahora al ver una versión diferente del Capitolio, solo hace que aumente ni curiosidad 🤭🤭. Espero pronto puedas verla, vale mucho la pena.
La verdad es que siento que no llegó tanto no sé pienso que es una película con más de lo mismo escenas repetidas una y otra vez de películas anteriores de los juegos del hambre siento que no llegó pero no estuvo mal a la trama estuvo aceptable.
Yo un poco lo que sentí es que la parte de los juegos estuvo bastante larga, es cierto que ese es el atractivo principal de ésta historia, pero creo que eso le quitó tiempo a la última parte de la historia, e hizo a mí parecer que fuese un tanto apresurada 🤔🤔.
¡Qué belleza de película!✨ Amé desde el primer minuto hasta el final, le aplaudo toda la variedad de emociones que me hizo tener. Pero especialmente, también me encantó el hecho que me hizo conectar con esa lectora obsesionada adolescente🥺
Ahora es sumamente necesario volver a verla, porque sabemos que la primera vez hay muchos detalles que se nos pasan, y por supuesto, hacer un nuevo maratón de Los Juegos del Hambre🤭
Y no importa lo que digan, queremos a Corio🤭🤣😌
