Scarlett Johansson

I think Scarlett Johansson is a great actress who can play different types of roles. I like her in action roles, but also in more dramatic or comedic ones. In addition to her role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I find her role as Samantha, the intelligent virtual assistant in the movie Her, very memorable. Scarlett Johansson's first movie was North, a 1994 comedy with Elijah Wood and Bruce Willis. Since that 1994 her career has always been crowned by brilliant performances and Scarlett Johansson is an actress adored not only by the public but also by many in the entertainment world, such as Woody Allen, Brian De Palma and Bob Dylan. Johansson also starred in the first single from Bob Dylan's album, "When The Deal Goes Down". The video was directed by Bennett Miller. In the video, Johansson gives her best to the rhythm of a very poignant waltz.

"The Black Dahlia"

It's hard to choose a favourite movie of hers for this reason I went back to watch "The Black Dahlia". "The Black Dahlia" is inspired by the news case of Elizabeth Short, nicknamed "the black dahlia", who was found murdered in Los Angeles in 1947. Ellroy's novel tells her story and that of two policemen obsessed with her murder. In De Palma's motion picture, Scarlett Johansson plays the role of Kay Lake, the woman loved by both protagonist policemen. With Vilmos Zsigmond's sepia photography and Dante Ferretti's sets, the motion picture recalls the classics of the '40s and '50s. The intricate plot of the book is difficult to bring to the screen and the motion picture skips some passages to stay within 2 hours. De Palma gives his best in describing the billionaire bisexual played by Hilary Swank and in auditioning for the "dahlia" played by Mia Kirshner.
