Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth and its cinematic versions [ENG]

"Journey to the Center of the Earth" is a thrilling novel written by Jules Verne, one of the pioneers of science fiction and extraordinary travel literature. First published in 1864, this masterpiece has captivated readers of all ages over the years.

The narrative follows the adventures of the eccentric Professor Otto Lidenbrock and his nephew, Axel. It all begins when the professor discovers an ancient scroll that reveals the existence of a path to the center of the Earth through an Icelandic volcano. Fascinated by this possibility, Lidenbrock decides to undertake this dangerous expedition and invites Axel to join him. Together, they delve into the depths of the globe, facing numerous challenges and discovering hidden wonders as they enter the unknown. Verne uses his trademark descriptive and detailed style to transport the reader to a subway world filled with spectacular scenery and extraordinary creatures. The author skillfully combines elements of science and fantasy to create an intriguing plot full of surprises, keeping the reader's interest on every page.
The relationship between Professor Lidenbrock and his nephew Axel is one of the highlights of the novel. While the professor is a passionate man determined to achieve his goal at any cost, Axel shows a more cautious and prudent personality. The dynamic between these two characters evolves throughout the story, which adds a human and emotional element to the plot.

There have also been several film adaptations that
have tried to recreate each of the spaces that are reflected in the original book.

For me one of the most impressive was the 2008 adaptation starring Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson. In this installment the protagonists of the film begin their search for the center of the earth through the reading of an old travel book which was recording each of the places still unknown to man until reaching the very center of the planet. It is fascinating the imagination that can be recreated through this type of stories that allow us to imagine a world within another.
Images came to my mind about scenes such as the arrival to the center of the planet, for example, how special effects can completely change what is really known about the planet through science and studies. Also the eagerness of scientists to discover even new species.
Personally I like the adventure genre and although I have little time to watch series or movies of this type I am entertained whenever I can watch each installment of this type. This was my delivery today and I hope you liked it, thanks for reading and continue creating content on Hive.
