A few years ago I enjoyed a singer who revolutionized Mexican music and this was none other than Selena Quintanilla. Selena Quintanilla was a Mexican singer who was born on April 16, 1971. Her story was quite difficult since the young woman's climb to the world of fame was driven by her father, her family and brothers who together formed the group Selena and The dinos.

The story was taken to film and was performed by the talented Jennifer Lòpez. From there, several proposals were even made for biographical series.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to watch the two installments and personally, being a lover of the prestigious singer, I really liked learning a little about what her life was like. In Summary "Selena" is a 1997 American biographical film directed by Gregory Nava. It is based on the life of Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, who became an influential figure in the music world before her tragic death in 1995.

The film tells the story of Selena, from her humble beginnings in Texas to her rise to fame. Jennifer Lopez plays the lead role of Selena and delivers a memorable performance, capturing both her charisma on stage and her genuine warmth off of it. The film is about Selena's success in Tejano music and how she managed to cross cultural barriers with her music in Spanish and English.
