I can say, with total certainty, that this version of Pinocchio is the best so far. It is a film made with a lot of love and passion. Simply put, it is beautiful and touching.


Puedo decir, con total seguridad, que esta versión de Pinocchio es la mejor hasta ahora. Es una película hecha con mucho amor y pasión. Simplemente, es hermosa y conmovedora.

INTRODUCTION


Something I want to emphasize from the beginning, is that this film was made with the Stop Motion technique. For those who don't know, this consists of using dolls and models to film. What is done is to move them millimetrically and take a picture. This is repeated thousands of times until the film is finished. It is the same technique used in Coraline and the Secret Door and Jack's Strange World. Personally, I love watching movies in this style. I'm already a little tired of conventional animation.

INTRODUCCIÓN


Algo que quiero destacar desde el principio, es que esta película fue hecha con la técnica de Stop Motion. Para el que no lo sepa, esta consiste en usar muñecos y maquetas para grabar. Lo que se hace es moverlos milimétricamente y sacar una foto. Esto se repite miles de veces hasta terminar la película. Es la misma técnica que se utilizó en Coraline y la puerta secreta y El extraño mundo de Jack. En lo personal, amo ver películas de este estilo. Ya estoy un poco cansado de la animación convencional.

The story is set in Italy during World War II. In a small village, Gepetto and his son Carlo try to live as normal a life as possible, with all the difficulties that entails.

La historia está situada en Italia durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En un pequeño pueblo, Gepetto y su hijo Carlo tratan tener una vida lo más normal posible, con todas las difcultades que eso conlleva.

It all begins when Gepetto loses his son in a war attack. Obviously, this led him into a depression and mourning that he was never able to overcome. The reality is that he never managed to move on after the death of his son.

Todo comienza cuando Gepetto pierde a su Hijo por un ataque bélico. Obviamente, esto lo llevó a una depresión y a un luto que nunca pudo superar. La realidad es que nunca logró seguir adelante luego de la muerte de su hijo.

Ten years later, we found Gepetto crying and begging in front of his son's grave. These wailings attracted the attention of some spirits of the forest.

Diez años después, nos encontramos a Gepetto llorando y suplicando en frente de la tumba de su hijo. Estos lamentos llamaron la atención de algunos espíritus del bosque.

Later, in the midst of a drunken binge. In frustration, anguish and denial, Gepetto builds a wooden puppet begging for Carlo's return. While he sleeps, a goddess appears, ready to grant the puppet a soul.

PLOT


Pinocchio is a newborn, so everything is new to him. Everything awakens his curiosity and intrigue. This is detrimental to him, it makes him manipulable and easily controlled. We can see during the film, how he is fooled several times by his innocence. As, for example, when he participates in a circus or in the army.

TRAMA


Pinocchio es un recién nacido, por ende, todo es nuevo para él. Todo despierta su curiosidad y su intriga. Esto lo perjudica, lo hace manipulable y fácilmente controlable. Its plot is not very complicated and has many similarities with the original movie from the year 40. The circus owner, the whale, the cricket, etc. Although it has its differences, which I prefer you to see for yourselves.

Su trama no es muy complicada y tiene muchas similitudes con la película originar del año 40. El dueño del circo, la ballena, el grillo, etc. Aunque tiene sus diferencias, que prefiero que las vean por ustedes mismos.

Something I loved about this film is that even though it is focused on a children's audience, it is able to deal with adult and deep themes. Such as mourning, the value of life, war, religion, etc.

Algo que me encantó de esta película es que a pesar de que sea enfocada a un público infantil, es capaz de tratar y abordar temas adultos y profundos. Como el luto, el valor de la vida, la guerra, la religión, etc.

CRITICS


It's hard to find anything negative about this movie, it's a work of art. The only thing I didn't like is that sometimes Pinocchio's attitude is irritating and annoying. On many occasions he is a badly raised and annoying child.

CRÍTICA


Es complicado encontrarle algo negativo a esta película, es una obra de arte. Lo único que no me gustó es que a veces la actitud de Pinocchio es irritante y molesta. En muchas ocasiones es un niño mal criado y molesto.

There are times when I felt uncomfortable. Like when there are songs or the scene of the play. Being an adult, it is hard to watch these scenes without feeling irritation.

Hay veces que sentí incomodidad. Como cuando hay canciones o la escena de la obra de teatro. Al ser un adulto, es difícil ver estas escenas sin sentir irritación.

In conclusion, this movie is wonderful. It leaves you with many valuable and deep messages. I think every child and not so child should see this masterpiece.

En conclusión, esta película es maravillosa. Te deja muchos mensajes valiosos y profundos. Creo que todo niño y no tan niño debería ver esta obra maestra.

Yo aún no la he visto, pero más que todo por ser la historia de pinocho, es la historia que menos me ha gustado de Disney, sin embargo he escuchado muy buenas opiniones de esta película por lo tanto le daré una oportunidad en algún momento. Gracias por compartir tu opinión, saludos!
