Something new - what a treat!!
Yesterday we gave my sister a lift into Seapoint, Capetown and she treated my mom and I to something really different,The Labia Theatre
What's a movie without popcorn
The Labia Theatre is the oldest Independent Art-Repertory Cinema in South Africa, showing the best of circuit, independent movies, foreign films, documentaries, classics and other alternative and art circuit films.
Enjoy quality movies at reasonable admission prices in our four characteristic screens at 68 Orange Street, Gardens.
The Labia Movie Theatre on Orange Street is Cape Town’s original Independent Art Movie house and consists of four screens, a 176 seater, a 100, a 65 seater, an intimate 50 seater.
In addition, the Cinema has a cosy coffee bar which offers home-made delicacies, a chocolate bar serving sweets, chocolates and popcorn, an outside garden terrace and a fully licenced bar.
The Labia is the only cinema where you can relax, sip a drink from the bar and watch a movie. FROM THEIR WEBPAGE
The film she chose for us was a Brad Pitt movie called F1
Quite a paradox and quite ironic to see a brand new movie in an 80"s style cinema house.
The movie was great and the atmosphere was rustic old school so it really was an unusual exprerience.
Little coffee bar for savouries and sweet treats at reasonable prices
Popcorn,chips, chocolates and cold drinks
Attractive entrance to the theatre
Buying the tickets
Inside the cinema
Popcorn station
Intimate place to enjoy a drink or cup of coffee
satisfied mom
I really recommend a trip to this theatre on your visit to Capetown - it was well worth it.
