Kcontest #24 // K-BEAUTY, A TREND TO FOLLOW

Over the past few years, Korean Beauty (K-Beauty) has made a massive impact on the global beauty industry. Known for its innovative products and holistic approach to skincare, K-Beauty has inspired countless people, to rethink their skincare routines. One of the K-Beauty trends I like the most is the double cleansing method, which involves using an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based one to ensure the skin is completely clean and also the sheet masks, which help to rejuvenate when the skin feels dull or dry.

Pixabay The double cleansing method was also a game-changer because it allows skin to breathe and function better throughout the day. The oil-based cleanser removes all makeup, sunscreen, and impurities, while the water-based cleanser ensures that the pores are thoroughly cleaned without stripping the skin. It makes the skin fresher and more hydrated after following this method, and there will be no longer experiencing the breakouts from leftover makeup residue.

Pixabay What about the Sheet mask, this one provide an instant burst of moisture and rejuvenation. The masks come soaked in nourishing serums packed with ingredients that work wonders for the skin. Whether you use them as a quick pick-me-up after a long day or as a weekly treatment, they leave the face feeling plump, smooth, and radiant.

I have sister that only use K-Beauty products and when I asked why she said because the K-Beauty products emphasis their products on skin health over quick fixes. The focus is on creating a routine that supports long-term skin wellness. Ingredients are carefully chosen to target specific skin concerns, whether that’s hydration, brightening, or anti-aging. The, K-Beauty brands often emphasize gentler formulations, avoiding harsh chemicals, for tender and sensitive skin compared to our own skin care products which only cares about fast action, a situation where products that promise instant results or dramatic transformations (like bleaching creams) are often favored.

I just hope people will learn to choose the products that are not just about achieving a certain look, but about treating their skin with the care it deserves. I hope more people in Nigeria and beyond start to adopt this approach, focusing on health and self-care, as opposed to just meeting traditional beauty standards because it is not all glitters that are gold.

Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
